Nice Labor Day weekend

We loved the hot tub! The condo is very centrally located between areas of interest such as Grandfather Mountain, Beech Mountain, etc. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to bring our dog. I would definitely stay here again.

Great little place for the weekend!

Cute and cozy. Would come back. If you can’t find this in the gps use High Country Cabinets, it will find that. The condos are right across the road from that.

Nice for the price

Although clearly an older place, upgrades had been made to the kitchen and bathroom. Nothing extravagant, but the cabinets and appliances were newer. The bed was comfortable.

Anniversary getaway

The house was super cute, but we chose this specific condo for the private hot tub and we were unable to use it. Which we are highly upset about. It was set on 68 degrees and did not heat up in the time frame of our visit.

Recent stay

The place was generally clean and reasonably well-maintained, considering its age. One notable quirk was the charming creaking floors that accompanied every step. Unfortunately, I missed in the description that both the restroom and bedroom were located upstairs, which was a bit inconvenient. That was my oversight, though. On a positive note, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we managed to enjoy a restful night's sleep.

SKIP IT

The hot tub was green and we couldn't even use it. I couldn't get into contact with anyone while we were there to come and clean it. I would choose another listing if I could.

Weekend getaway

The house needs to be cleaned of all the Cobb webs they were all over the stove and in the corners of the house. The bed sheet were covered in dog hair and I would mention there is no where to park if you have a big truck you have to block the road leading to someone else’s house. The house is great just needs some cleaning and some better info on the website plus the garbage place is closed on Sunday so nowhere to dump your garbage I had to haul it 2.5 hours back home with me

Not what I was expecting

I made the assumption based on my personal experiences that air b&b type properties were generally pretty nice. This one would probably be fine for teenagers to stay at and party but not adults that don't appreciate the musty attic smell, torn furniture, or stains on the bedding. Wish I had read the reviews more closely as it is accuratly described by others. We stayed about 5 minutes in total - long enough to make arrangements for another rental. Not sure if I should consider it as wasted money or an educational investment in learning what not to rent.

Couldn’t use hot tub

So frustrated. We rented this for one night during the forecast for 9-12” of snow and my whole family was looking forward first and foremost to the hot tub. Check-in wasn’t until 4pm so we arrived at 4:15 and the hot tub was set at 70 degrees. We set it to 104 and it didn’t get above 88 until midnight. Anyone who owns a hot tub knows you need to give it a good 12 hours to heat up. My children cried, we were cold, no hot tub to be had. They should have had it heated up earlier when it’s the primary focused picture of their property. Next problem was the spider webs everywhere - especially in upper bathroom. There were gaps everywhere in the infrastructure (floor boards, etc) and the faucet on the sink was leaking so bad I had to have towels in the corner to avoid it flooding underneath the sink and over the side to the kitchen. And all this for a lot of cash for one night. I would stay in a hotel any day of the week over this, save yourself $400 and have a heated pool and a hot tub that you can actually use.

no heat, dirty, poor communication!

Our stay was a horrible experience from the start. Arrived and the heat was not working. Went out and purchased a heater because I was not sure how long it would take for a response, so by the time we got settled in it was about 8 that night. Maintenance did call while we were out getting a heater and I asked how was someone there just cleaning and did not notice it was cold in there. His was response was 'well cleaning is a pretty labor some job so they probably did not notice it was cold'. I thought things were going to be better when the property owner, Zach, called us to get an idea of what problems we were having. Not only did he offer some compensation off our stay (without me asking), he also promised to follow back up. It is going on 3 weeks now and now response nor has he returned out. On the cleanliness of the property, there was pet hairs all over the couch, bed and floors. Outside there was pet crap in the common areas as soon as you step out of the door and parking areas. I would have assumed with a cleaning fee that was not cheap I would not have had to deal with this on top of washing our own dishes before we left. I understand that 'cleaning fees' are normal with rental properties like this, but I do not see what this fee was used to 'clean'. Even after sending the requested pics, there has been no resolution to our compensation for the stay. I understand how important reviews are so that is why I waited to write this review, but noone has taken acti

Excellent location cute property

Rental was easy as far online agreement’s and instructions. They let me update on checkin time and process. Little disappointed when I arrived 2 hours late and the sheets on the bed were dirty, a pile of dirty towels lying on the floor in front of the washing machine and an open bar of soap and shampoo in shower. Other than that the unit looked very clean. When I was contacted about checking in and the cleanliness of the unit I did complain about those key points but never heard back.

Nice place!! Really dog friendly

We stayed with my wife and our dog Oreo. The place is very cozy, and well located close to everything and short drive to many attractions. Our visit was at the beginning of summer and weather was ok to stay without AC. Jacuzzi was clean an ready; all appliances needed are there. We cook dinner and everything was there. I gave 4 stars because wasn’t 100% clean. Maybe because couple week since last cleaning/stay, nothing really bad, just some dust and spiderwebs. When they said are a pet friendly place they are not lying, there is a doggy treats jar, dog bed and dishes too!!. Easy check in and check out and Good communication. Great place to stay. We will comeback.

Wrong directions

Accommodation was fine once we found it!!! Address given is wrong there is no 82 Hemlock Hill Road. There is a Hemlock Hill Drive but no 82!! Correct address is 82 Creekside Drive, unit A is up the stairs between unit 82 and 76. Hopefully that will help others go directly to their accommodation.

Perfect Getaway to the Mountains

We enjoyed staying at the Condo. It's a one bedroom, so we were expecting it to be cozy. It had everything we needed and very comfortable. The hot-tub made it even more enjoyable. Access was a breeze. We already knew we liked the area and spent most of our time exploring. We will look to stay here again when we visit in winter for skiing.

Not what we expected, left location early.

The downstairs of the condo looks very similar to what is depicted on VRBO. It is small and quaint, nice if you are coming and going from other adventures. It is located very close to the other condos (quadruplex with thin walls) and the area is dated. The condo is pet-friendly but not very clean. Most notably, the sheets were dirty, the couch slipcover was very stained, and there were cobwebs along the ceiling in the bedroom. We ended up only staying one of the two nights that we booked the location.
