Property was very clean and comfortable. Location is walkable to everything in the historic part of town, so once I got there I didn’t use my car until I checked out. Courtyard is incredibly peaceful and pretty!
Beautiful property. In downtown walking distance to so many restaurants and shops. Has all the amenities you will need and more, including snacks and wine. They were nice enough to allow us to check in early since we arrived before check in time. Great communication and tons of information about the surrounding area included. Will definitely book again if we return to Natchez.
Our overall stay was nothing short of amazing. The property, the communication, the location. It was all great and we loved the Gaol. We will definitely be back
Plans for this weekend were cancelled so off we came to beautiful Natchez. We have previously stayed at The Gaol and Mr. Richard's other properties. The Gaol is always neat, clean and provides snacks and WINE. Love being on Franklin Street for all shopping! Don't worry we will be back again! Totally recommend!!
Awesome place to stay with a beautiful private court yard. Richard left us with all the amenities we could possibly need and answered promptly to any questions we had. Definitely recommend this condo if you are in the Natchez area.
The Gaul/old jail was renovated BEAUTIFULLY!!! Mr. Richard was a wonderful Host and Mrs Barbara well just loved her!! Everything was as Mr Richard said it was-the shopping and dining was close by ( walking distance) The Courtyard took my breath away it was stunning we spent as much time out there as we could!! And we could of not of asked for better weather!! If you are looking for a place to stay in Natchez THIS IS DEFINITELY IT!!! The people are so friendly and we loved every minute of our stay will definitely be coming back and staying here again!!
Thank you Mr Richard!!
My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Gaol in Natchez. The unit was beautifully decorated with antiques and very comfortable furniture. We enjoyed morning coffee in the courtyard. The location was central to the sites we visited. Very clean with a gracious host. We plan on returning to the Gaol.
This is a great location that is within walking distance to downtown dining and shopping. The property was just like it was advertised and was super clean with all the supplies we needed. Richard was a great host and super accommodating. The courtyard area was a nice place to sit and visit and enjoy the evening with friends. We definitely recommend this location!
This property is located in the downtown area. We had three adults. The place is very unique inside with two beds in a large common room, kitchen living area and a loft above with bedroom. 1 1/2 bath. We loved it. Great for our group. The courtyard was so pretty and a great place for a glass of wine and coffee in the morning. The cat welcomed us in the courtyard the last morning.
We loved the accommodations…comfortable, unique, roomy…the courtyard is a very big bonus as it was a great place to have an outdoor private picnic after grabbing lunch to go. If you love antiques, you will enjoy this location! Thanks Richard!

This property is exactly as advertised, has everything you could need, is super convenient to downtown shops, and we felt safe, secure, and comfortable. Would stay here again.
The close proximity to the antique shops was perfect. We were able to walk to local restaurants and just enjoy all that part of Natchez had to offer.
It was just the cutest property with plenty of room for the 3 of us.
We enjoyed our stay so much at the Gaol. We loved the openness of the whole place. My adult sons loved the pinball machine! We were able to walk downtown to eat from this location and we were lucky enough to have nice weather. I can’t forget to say how nice the courtyard was. Beautiful!! If you stay you will have to check out the antiques next door. We will be back!
Very nicely updated historical property. The courtyard in the back is a nice place to spend some quiet time. It is very private and picturesque. The location is within reasonable walking distance for most of the historic downtown. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend accommodation,
Delightful! Richard was very accommodating and great to talk with. The Gaol is well appointed and very cute. We fully enjoyed our stay and plan on returning soon.
The Gaol was everything we hoped for! Great way to spend our 32nd wedding anniversary. It was near everything we wanted to do. The owner's antique stop was next door. Will definitely be staying again.
The Gaol was the perfect place for us. Very clean and a quick walk to local eateries and antique stores. Host was also accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Why they chose this property
Owned the building since 1995 - was rented in the past to an Antique Store, then as a workshop for an Antique dealer, later as an Artist Studio, then as storage for my Antique store almost next door! We restored the building in 2019/2020 and finished it just in time for Corona virus to hit!
What makes this property unique
Beautiful large private space!
