This bright, modern, newly renovated suite in idyllic Deep Cove is the perfect place to explore Vancouver and its North Shore. Live like a local in this stunning beachfront community: a 5-minute walk takes you to world-class kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals, Vancouver's most popular hiking trail, gorgeous views, and, of course, doughnuts. Ski, snowshoe, or mountain bike on nearby Mt. Seymour. Bring your dog and explore the forest trails. Deep Cove is just 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver - you can explore the city while staying in the heart of nature.
The fully furnished guest suite is equipped with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, heated bathroom floors, washer and dryer, and a large soaking tub. It's modern and bright, with polished concrete floors, an open-plan layout, and trendy barn doors leading to the oversize bedroom. Wall-to-wall windows in the bedroom look out on a woodland backyard stream with a park greenbelt behind it.
The suite sleeps 3 people: there's a queen bed in the bedroom, and we have a fold-up floor mattress available as an extra sleeping space. All linens are provided, and the kitchen has all the essential equipment for cooking your own meals. The dining table can be extended to seat 4.
The suite has Disney+, Roku, high-speed WiFi, cable TV, and a sound bar. Connect your phone to the sound bar via Bluetooth to play music. Work remotely at the desk in the bedroom.
The village of Deep Cove is a 5-minute walk away. You can go for a swim in the Cove, rent kayaks and stand up paddleboards at Deep Cove Kayak, hike the Quarry Rock trail to the lookout over Indian Arm, and enjoy coffee and pastries from popular Honey Doughnuts. Pick up ice cream or gelato and sit on the sea wall to watch the Tuesday night kayak races. Take the kids to the playground and water splash park in Myrtle Park - just beyond the backyard. Find out why Deep Cove has been voted one of Vancouver’s best neighbourhoods!
Other nearby attractions: Mt. Seymour ski resort (15 minute drive), Lynn Valley trails and suspension bridge (20 minutes), Grouse Mountain (25 minutes), Capilano Suspension Bridge (20 minutes), Lonsdale Quay and The Shipyards (20 minutes). Downtown is a 25-minute drive, or get there by taking the SeaBus from Lonsdale Quay. It’s 30 minutes to Horseshoe Bay and 1.5 hours to Whistler.
The suite is on the lower level of our family home and is accessed via its own entrance with a keypad door lock. Our family of 4 shares the house, but not your space. Please note: the house is built into a hill, with several stairs leading down to the guest suite door, so it’s not appropriate for those with mobility issues. Street parking is free and there is a transit stop just around the corner. Outdoor space is available for you in the front yard. It’s not private – there are always lots of people walking, riding, or driving by on nice days – but it is a sunny part of our property.
Driving an electric vehicle? We've got a Flo Level 2 charger you can use during your stay.
Bring Fido! Our suite is pet-friendly, with prior approval. (Please let us know a little about your dog when booking. We allow up to 2 dogs.) North Vancouver is a fantastic place for dogs, and there are several great trails nearby that your dog will love to explore - both on-leash and off. We border Myrtle Park, which includes a fenced off-leash dog park where your pup can make some new friends. We do ask that you please keep your dog off the bed and furniture, and please clean up after them.
Our guest suite is completely self-contained with its own private entrance, and you’ll self-checkin using a keypad.
We welcome long-term guests outside of summer months! If your dates aren't available on our calendar, send us a message - it's possible we just haven't released those dates yet.
We hope to welcome you to our guest suite in The Cove soon!
