Wonderful place

Great place to come back to relax tonafter a day of adventures. My family and I enjoyed our stay. This house had everything we needed and made us feel "at home". We had a minor incident with getting into the house but the owners were very easy to communicate with and we got in, in no time! Highly recommended if your visiting the area!!

Harper Woods convenient stay near family

Harper woods stay

Nice quiet neighborhood and cute, clean house. Very close to Grosse pointe and downtown. The shower diverted and hold and cold faucets need tightened as they fell off so we hand tightened them. It was great to have a garage to store our bikes and car in.

Great Stay!

Very clean place and had everything we needed. Using the garage was a plus! Communication with the owner was okay, but questions we asked regarding possibly extending our stay or checking in early went unanswered, which we found frustrating. With that being said, overall our stay met our expectations and we would definitely stay here again.

Close to Ascention St. John Hospital

Being from out of town and knowing that hospitalization would be an unknown amount of time, decided that a VRBO would be a good option. Due to complications we ended up (luckily) being able to extend our stay to 11 total nights. It was an easy process and convenient place to stay, allowing us time to rest and regroup between being at hospital.

Very nice, clean and comfortable home

I really like this house, I almost feel at home here. It's well kept and has everything I need and would ask for. The owner takes good care of everything here and is available to answer questions if I have them. Access is always easy to check in. I would recommend anyone looking for a nice place to stay in a good neighborhood to try this property

Lovely home in nice neighborhood

Communication with owner was easy, quick responses and helpful. House was an easy check in. Well appointed with personal items in bath, lots of dishes, utensils, pots and pans … clothes soap for the laundry. And the garage for the car was truly an added perk! Hardwood floors … we’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks Laura!

I would return.

We were in town, for 4 days, to join in our son's retirement ceremonies after 29 years in the army. We didn't spend much time at the house aside from sleeping. The neighborhood was a little "iffy" but the neighbors were friendly. The house itself was VERY clean. That was the most important thing for me. I would stay there again.

Great House in Great Location

Clean and nicely decorated. Has a two car garage for overnight parking. A previous review mentioned 'not the best neighborhood,' but the neighborhood was fine. Harper Woods is within metro-Detroit. It's not in Mayberry. I am a 58 year old woman, and I never felt worried for my safety during our 4 day/3 night stay. Homes in the general area were well cared for, and nighttime was not loud at all.

Exactly what we needed for our business trip!

We had to travel to downtown every day of our stay for training. This was a perfect location for quick on and off the highway, commute. The neighborhood was quiet. The neighbors we did see were very friendly. The house itself was so cute and accommodating. It felt like home and not just a place to stay. The owner was great to communicate with. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again if life finds me back in the area.

Just like Grandma's House!

This house totally reminded me or my grandmother's house in Detroit just over the I-94 Bridge off Moross, right down to the glass doorknobs. Love the real hardwood floors too. Exactly what we were looking for, though when we arrived, we were almost overpowered by the plug in air fresheners. Once they were unplugged, and the airwick sold stand up freshener moved the basement stairwell, all was great. Nice and quiet too.

We bought this house as an investment/self use. We work in Detroit part of the year so we love to be there when we have to travel. We have decorated and prepared the house for our own use and we love sharing it with our guests.
