We have stayed here for the last 18 years love it - check in process was different as a non-owner - my reservation was 5 different reservations so 5 different charges at check in - which triggered a fraud alert on my CC - previous we have been able to request location in resort - did not get that ability - but highly recommend this property.
This property was great! Looked even better than listing photos. The resort was fantastic! Restaurant food and drinks were good, a bit pricey but good. I would definitely book this condo again!
The location of this condo within the resort was perfect! We were steps from the pool and ocean! The resort was clean and the staff were prompt and friendly.
The Marriott was perfect for us. The property seems not too crowded, the beach is great, and the pool is great, too. The condo was nice and equipped with everything we needed. The staff could not have been nicer. When the new re-built Marriott opens, it might be more crowded, but I would not hesitate to stay here again. The food is just ok, but the bartenders were great, and everyone enjoyed daily pina coladas in paradise.
This Marriott property is outstanding, but the host was not honest or customer service friendly Prior to booking the host offered a discount that was never applied. After booking there was an error and she did nothing to assist in correcting. My recommendation is book the property with Marriott directly or another host.
My husband and I booked this property for 5 nights stay with my two adult children. The property was great and we had a great time! The condo was very clean and up to date with pretty much anything you would need for you stay there. The beach/pool area was beautiful and our whole family very much enjoyed the floating docs for lounging and playing on. We ate at the on-site restaurant twice and no one had any complaints and the volcano cake was delicious! The booking process was very easy and the owner did respond in a timely manner throughout the booking process. My only complaint, and it’s a pretty big one was that the property was listed at one price but when I got the invoice the price had gone up several hundred dollars with no explanation as to why. This was after initial contact/communication with the owner. When I inquired about the higher rate I was told that they had made a mistake on the initial listing and that the price was higher because it was a holiday weekend. We went ahead and booked because it was kind of a last minute trip and I didn’t have many other options but I do feel like they should have rented to us at the price they initially listed. Aside from that, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this property.
We only stayed one night before our catamaran trip, so we didn’t fully experience the resort. But from what we saw, the property was great. Staff was lovely. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, great view. Zero issues booking with host, everything was as expected. Will book again.
This is a great place to stay. Very family friendly. They have activities for kids to do almost everyday- if you just need an hour at the beach alone! They also have pool and ping pong by the grills so kids and adults can hang while cooking. The pool/beach restaurant is a bit expensive but convenient. Snorkeling galore and the pool has a water slide... adults can ride too! I would highly recommend the night kayak trip.
The property was clean and comfortable. There were 5 in our party and we had plenty of space. We brought our Roku stick to watch stud but there was cable and netflix. The staff was amazing. Whatever you need they had it or for it does you. I woul highly reccomend this property!
PROS: The site has outdated photos and we were very pleasantly surprised by the actual decor. The photos also are not totally clear on the overall layout/configuration of the room. You enter into the open kitchen, dining and LR areas with gorgeous water views. I believe practically every unit at this property as waterviews. There is one bedroom to the right and the other to the left, both with their own bathroom and balcony. THe master balcony has a table that seats 4 and can be accessed from the LR as well. The other room has a smaller balcony with two chairs. The unit was very well appointed and equipped with anything you need in the kitchen, all new and clean. The master bath has a great tub and sink area and the toilet and shower are separate for more privacy. The property has many activities -yoga 2x/week, night kayaking, day and evening sails directly from their dock, shopping vendors come on some mornings and afternoons (good stuff, not shlocky), tango lessons, bingo, tie dying for kids, other kid activities. The pool is open 24 hours which was a HUGE PLUS for our teenagers who went for a swim after dinner every night. The service was excellent. Ira at the front door takes great care of everyone making sure taxis are readily available. The pool is also literally right on the beach so while you are in the pool you look out onto the beach. The beach has 3 large floating docks that you can swim out to and lounge on, very nice!
CONS: the property is built on a hills so we had to take 3 elevators to get all the way down to the beach and pool. Even the buildings one level down have to take 2 elevators to the pool/beach. There are no "walk out to the beach" units. We didn't love this but it didn't bother us much during our stay. There is only one restaurant on site with a limited menu. You will definitely want to venture out for dinners, and there are many excellent places on the island to eat.
TIP: You can call a day before you arrive to request a specific building and level (no guarantees), so go online to look at the layout of the property to see where you would like to stay. Virgin Gorda building is lower level which means less travel to the pool/beach, but still not walk out, but less of a view and may be obstructed view below the 3rd/4th floors.
The condo was great. Fit our family of 5 perfectly. The beach is small but well taken care of. Our 1st time to the Virgin Islands & we liked it very much. A couple of tips to first timers—get some groceries, food is expensive on the island & consider renting a car—the taxi service adds up due to the fact not many restaurants or shops in walking distance
Every room looks out over the bay, and the sunsets are amazing! The higher up the room, the better the view - but also a longer walk... Good snorkeling around the area. Hotel staff very nice.
