If you are looking for privacy and some of the best Appalachian views I've seen, this is the place. It's a quaint cabin in what I'd say is perched in the perfect spot. You cannot get tired of the view over Maggie Valley from the deck. I've stayed here several times and the location, access to the surrounding areasand the hosts cannot be beat.
Very caring property managers making sure we had all we needed to get to the cabin safely and enjoy our stay. The accommodations were great and well represented by the posting. During our stay we had some questions and the property managers were super quick to respond and assist. We loved our visit and checking out Maggie Valley! Highly reccommend!
Thus little cabin is exactly as described and pictured. Tbh the drive to the cabin concerned me. However, after going back and forth twice it was perfectly fine. The host, Jarrod made a point to come out to introduce himself which I really appreciated. We had everything we needed and would definitely recommend (and already have). Thank you again Jarrod for sharing your beautiful property with us. Wendy really appreciate.
We had the best time at the cabin. It was very secluded and the most beautiful views. The cabin was beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving meal. The owner was great and answered every question we had. We will surely be back to Maggie Valley.
11/18-11/20-24 We had a peaceful time at the cabin. Beautiful view of Maggie valley below. Could see Ghost town across the valley. The last half mile up to the cabin is definatly UP! Had a lol dnow but road was still drivable. All in all. More then we expected. Great place to sit an enjoy the mtn be with family and enjoy maggie valley an surounding area from thanks for sharing your lil slice of heaven with us!!! Johnny
Very quiet & peaceful. At the bottom of the Mountain Best Restaurant!! Getting up the mountain you definitely needed 4wheel drive, gravel roads up to top due to last hurricane 😢 but overall I’ll be back ❤️ property manager answered quickly and professionally.
Needed a place to stay for July 4th celebrations, Cabin was beautiful and very clean. Host was very timely and responsive to questions or requests. Very fun place to stay. Best place in Maggie Valley to watch fireworks!!!
The cabin was just as described, clean and tidy. Jarrod explained the road situation perfectly. If you are looking for seclusion but close to town, this is the place. The view is 10 out of 10.
Love Every thing about this cabin. The Amazing view sitting on the porch swing feeling like your the only one up on the mountain. The comfy feel of peace and quiet. Love that it's dog friendly. We'll be back again for sure ❤️
The coyote Den was the perfect place for us. It was pet friendly, the kitchen was well stocked, and very clean. If you are looking to get away from everything this is the perfect place to go with awesome views.
Property is awesome but very secluded and the drive in is very difficult, i wouldn't recommend this if your going to have a truck and trailer or if your on a motorcycle
We had a very relaxing stay. The cabin was private and had an amazing view, which we especially enjoyed when drinking our morning coffee. The host lived right down the road and was very nice. The cabin was well equipped and we loved the fact that our two fur babies were welcome. Would love to come back someday.
Stunning views, cabin very comfortable, host communication excellent.
As others have stated, the steep uphill drive, partial gravel, ruts and drop offs either side can be daunting and we have an AWD and took the less steep route .
VRBO description of cabin proximity to local attractions and Maggie Valley restaurants, etc., are not accurate . It’s a 10 min driver to the main SOCO
road , not practical to walk .
Cabin interior is well equipped but a little tired.
However , overall stay was great, we went for the mountain views and cooler temps and that’s what we got .
The Rental was exactly as described. The view was spectacular. The cabin was clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. When we found the gas grill didn't operate the owner immediately solved the problem with a full tank of propane. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. The description mentions that the shortest access requires 4 wheel drive. This was definitely true. The more moderate route was challenging for our 2-wheel drive SUV. I recommend this only for those experienced driving on steep, gravel roads with hairpin curves. The owner is friendly and located nearby. He did everything possible to insure our enjoyable visit.
Small but comfortable cabin totally away from it all — but not too far from town (as long as you have 4X4 or AWD!). The view from the porch is as good as the pictures suggest. And the owner was great, making the check-in process easy, communicating well, and giving great area suggestions.
It's great to have a dog-friendly place, but just a note, there isn't much room for the dogs to roam. But pack them in your car and take them on your adventures, of which there are so many nearby.
