Lack of basic supplies

The condo is fine. Nicely decorated, clean, well heated and great location. The building itself could do with some updates and the signs everywhere telling you what not to do are off putting. It’s like you joined an angry HOA and doesn’t make you think vacation. HUGE negative about the condo is lack of basic supplies. You will have to buy everything you need for cooking including salt and pepper (which are really expensive at the local store). There was nothing at all there. There was also not enough toilet paper for our stay, the toiletries were enough for one shower, and they provided only TWO dishwasher tabs for a 6 night stay. And despite the lack of tabs, they ask that you run the dishwasher when you leave. I’m guessing most will run it without any soap. The management company saved maybe few bucks by not providing these basics but it takes this condo from 5 star to 3 stars. We have come to expect toiletries and basic kitchen supplies in an VRBO. At a minimum I have never had to supply my own toilet paper. Also, the range/stove is currently broken and dangerous.

Great location and place. We didn’t know there would be construction happening right outside our window though. Also a few Dollie’s shared by the whole building during check in. Short staffed? Front desk staff were lovely! Friendly, helpful and very kind!

Perfect Family Vacation Location

Glacier Lodge is located in the upper village, across the street from the Cultural Connector trail, where you can literally walk/bike anywhere in Whistler, along a gorgeous paved pathway through the woods. Loved this location, rather than the main village. It's quieter, pretty and next door to a liquor store and a great restaurant called Portabello (where you will want to go to get fabulous coffee, pastries, hot breakfast bowls) This property has a fantastic outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs, lots of deck chairs and tables. The condo unit is perfect for 6 guests, with one King on the main floor, a queen in the loft and a pull out queen sofa. Modern decor, almost all the necessities you'd need - kitchen could use more plates/bowls, enough to feed 8 as visitors may have guests for dinner, also there is no frying pan. Cleanliness for me was a 6/10, I noticed the kitchen cupboards where a bit sticky, and the bathroom sink didn't drain well at all. That aside, I'd stay here again for sure. The front desk reps where so friendly, helpful.

Over communication

I really appreciated all of the emails leading up to the day of our check in. It felt good to have all of the details by email and by text which made the experience that much more comfortable.

Great location, bare bones kitchen

We love Glacier Lodge. Location, ski check and hot tubs are great. This unit was nicely decorated and comfortable for our family, but the kitchen was very minimally stocked. No cutting board or oven mitts, very few plates and bowls and a handful of pots and pans that made it a challenge to cook for a family. There also was not enough bedding for the pullout couch. There was also a good amount of roof noise from wind and melting snow. We didn't mind because we were tired out from long ski days but it was noticeable. Not Vacasa's problem but may be an issue for light sleepers. Overall a great time as usual!

Clean. great location. Rain drip on roof soooooo annoying. Like a type of torture...drip by drip all night long....you get the idea. over....and over again....such an easy fix for staff to put something down on roof.....apparently not how roof works. perhaps another unit?

Not for warm or hot weather

The layout of this unit was fabulous, appliances were ok but dated. If we visited during winter, it would’ve been perfect. However we visited during summer and this unit was unbearable and roasting hot. Even with fans and windows open, we could only cool the unit to 30 degrees Celsius. We had to leave as it was 10 degrees cooler outside. We had a 3 night reservation but could not fathom staying longer than necessary - we booked another place down the road and moved as soon as we were able first thing in the morning.
