Cheep and Cheerful

Cascade Lodge is well situated within the main Whistler Village making it an ideal location for those who plan to walk or ride their bikes. The unit itself had gorgeous views of both mountains; we enjoyed the sunrise from our balcony every morning! And the pool area is one of the best we've experienced in Whistler! Despite this being an older non-renovated suite, we were comfortable for 3 nights. The size of the unit helped as it's quite roomy! And the main bedroom bed was very comfortable! We provided some feedback on simple things that Vacasa needs to take care of to ensure that the unit feels better maintained, not just clean. I think we'd stay here again.

Best value for money in town - Fantastic Location and Fabulous Views

Fantastic location, Fabulous views from this room, a 360 view of the mountains, this makes you forget that the slightly dated unit needs a full upgrade. 1 bedroom has a large seperate bedroom and then a living room with balcony and full size kitchen which the studios do not have, so well worth paying a little more to get a 1 bedroom unit at this property. Amenities are great, large outdoor pool area, on-site underground parking (yes you pay extra for this) but considering all Whistler is paid parking now, price is very reasonable.

Lots of space, excellent location for family get-away, loved the pool!

We were in Whistler for two nights for a quick family get away. This was our first time staying at the Cascade Lodge. Our family turns in early and gets up early, so this location was great for us as it was away from the late night party noise of the main Village Stroll, but close enough to get there in the afternoon and evening for shopping and meals. The room was super spacious with a dining table for meals and full kitchen. The pool was excellent - even when busy it was big enough to find space for swimming with the kids (or a lounge for an afternoon snooze). We chose to get take out for dinners and eat in the room. There were so many excellent choices in the close-by Main Street area. The room was fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, glasses, etc. A few notes for future stays: 1. The fridge was ultra-cold and ended up freezing some of the food we brought. We turned the temp down a few times, but still ended up with slushy drinks and frozen fruit and yogurt. 2. The unit faces south-east, so we got the beautiful sunrise over Blackcomb mountain. The bedroom did not have great blinds to block out the light, so if you plan on sleeping in, bring a sleep mask. Other than those very minor items, our stay was excellent and we will definitely look at the Cascade Lodge again.

Worth the price!!!

This was one of the best places to stay in whistler. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was outstanding. Very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The best part was the separate rooms with own amenities in one suite. Perfect for multiple guests. For the price and location it was definitely worth staying here. Everything was walking distance which made it easier for all of us.

Beautiful view and village proximity

We would stay here again for sure. Price was good for the location and unit size. Everything worked in the unit. The TV in the bedroom was an old tube tv so could not connect HDMI to it, similar for living room TV, this was a flat TV but easily a decade old and a tad small for the room. A/C worked well. Horizontal blinds in the bedroom didn't block morning sun very well but shades in the living room were very good and kept this room dark. Sliding door to balcony could use lubrication as it was very difficult and heavy to open. Would stay again in the future as none of these were deal breakers.

Birthday getaway

Our one bedroom suite was very clean and comfortable. Overlooking the pool and the mountains. It was a beautiful view. Bed was only a queen but very comfortable. The bathroom fan would not shut off, a bit annoying but overall we enjoyed our stay and would most certainly go back and stay there again.

Nice, w/ essentials

Our condo was basic and surprisingly quiet. View: amazing. There is a small patio off the living room to soak in the beauty. Kitchen: basic, but good. Could use complimentary salt& pepper. The condo had ground coffee (equivalent of 1 coffee pot of coffee) and 1/2&1/2 shots in the refrigerator. Location: 10-13minute walk from the gondola (condo door to gondola line) and Express ticket text. 5 mins from the market, restaurants, shops, pharmacy and great little Japanese restaurants and market. Across the street from delicious restaurants. Ski/board valet: super easy and convenient. It’s free, but don’t forget to tip these sweet guys. Pool/hot tub (the reason we chose this condo over a nicer condo): the pool is Luke warm (my kids got in, but couldn’t stay long b/c they got too cold). The 2 hot tubs were so packed, we couldn’t get in after waiting over 45mins. Service: Helpful staff. Parking: approximately $21 per day (?). Note, there is a height limit, so if you have a high vehicle or roof rack, you’ll want to measure. Negatives were few: The condo only had 1 pillow for the fold out bed, but I’m sure you could request an additional. There was a really loud vent sound in the bathroom, that had nothing to do w/the bathroom vent.

Great location, rooms need a lot of attention and upgrades

Great location, center village, easy to get everywhere. Great, large outdoor pool and hot tubs open all year. Very friendly and helpful staff. However… the building is shared with Worldmark by Wyndham. We stayed in Worldmark rooms in the building, which were all in perfect working order, and in Vacasa rooms which had a lot of broken, nonfunctional stuff and stains on carpet and sofa (Kool-Aid??). The Vacasa room washing machine left tons of detergent soap on clothes after two attempts at washing. The dryer never thoroughly dried clothes after 4 hours on high. The coffee maker lid was broken, the dishwasher didn’t work, the hot and cold water in the kitchen sink tap came out barely at a drizzle…. It was amazing how much didn’t work in the Vacasa rooms compared to the Worldmark rooms in the same building! Wow

Great Space for the Price

We couldn't believe our luck with this view!! The size was also great, we were able to fit a travel crib in the bedroom without a problem. We cooked the entire time we were there and the kitchen was well equipped. Very comfortable and clean. We also loved the pool and the staff. Looking forward to coming back.
