This home was perfect for our large family. Lots of room, beautiful dock, open yard space and more. The owners are super nice and responsive. Even a rainy day was full of games, movies and laughter. Only caveat, a few of the listed kayaks are currently in real need of repair/replacement. Luckily for us we had brought our own. We will book again!
The house was wonderful and we loved the location. The dock was great for swimming… not too rough and cleaner than if back in a cove. The house had tons of space and great amenities. The only downfall was the beds. A few of them were so uncomfortable causing a lack of sleep and neck and back pain. Another had a really loud boxspring (probably needs replaced) that would also cause wakings if anyone moved. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay!

was beautiful
Easy check in , place was dirty for what you paid, not enough seating , Bedding was comfortable, air condition stop working called owner and he didn't respond till next morning luckily we got it fixed before going to sleep it took awhile to cool house off, on the good side had almost everything you need to vacation, the pontoon boat was a big hit , we had a lot of fun Gary was very friendly , the house was beautiful , was way to far from the action but that is our fault for not investigating better on property , picture make it look different than what it Is the back yard is a big hill in the back yard
Quick to respond to any issues with maintenance of items. Great location that is a bit tricky to get to. The boat ramp for the location is below sub-par. I recommend going to bubba brews to launch. The house has plenty of amenities but could use some updates to flooring and walls. Some fixes seem to be a temporary solution when really a permanent solution is required. The lower-level kitchen seemed to be useless and un-needed.
Took our family of 19 on vacation we took our boat had a great time skiing, wake boarding, tubing, knee boarding, didn't have much luck fishing. House fit our family needs well. Best beds that i ever sleep on in a VRBRO. The only down side was very poor Internet. Had to go up hill to get service todo some work
Great time! 2 kitchens came in handy for our large group!! The lake was awesome, wasn’t sure if I’d get in but it is a beautiful lake!
As long as you don’t take showers at the same time it’s good!!
We made a ton of memories!
This home was great for our family! We had four families combined and the set up was perfect for us. We brought our boat and dropped it in at the community launch, having the dock there at the house was amazing. The kids were in the water every single day. This was a great stay and a great location.
Stayed here for a trip with friends to watch March Madness. The house was super spacious, offered a ton of things to do, and the owners were really easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay there again.
Excellent location. If you are looking to get away, this secluded cabin allows you to do just that. Great space for a group of 12. Still plenty of room for more people. Double kitchen made for cooking meals in one and desserts in another. Double oven was a wonderful bonus to the kitchen.
Kids had a great time playing pool and roasting s'mores every night. Kayaks on the property were a big hit for everyone that offered great views of Norris Lake.
Leaky dishwasher on the first floor, water heater needed to be reset a few times throughout the day and low water pressure were the only issues, but once we figured out the water schedule for everyone, we were able to manage.
Would definitely return.
We enjoyed our stay here. The house was welcoming with any supplies we needed. We loved suiting on the deck looking at the lake. The only issue was low water pressure when you had two things going (ex: shower and dishwasher).
Family had a great time. The house is very comfortable and has lots of space for us all to be together but for each family to have their own space. The kayaks were a hit. Both adults and kids had fun exploring the lake and surrounding shoreline. This is a beautiful, peaceful setting. Enjoyed the firepit in the evenings. although some of the chairs were in sad shape. Couple of constructive comments - bottom oven does not work at all and the top oven takes forever to preheat. Their were no horseshoe stakes so couldn't play, which was disappointing. One of the cornhole bases was broken and there were no beanbags to be found, Word of warning - don't do laundry and try to take a shower at the same time! But none of these things took away from our experience. Would definitely return.
Great location and property layout. Some appliances need repair or replacement. Rented Gary’s pontoon boat, the rate was reasonable. Enjoyed our vacation here.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Again it was another wonderful week at the lake. This house is a great house to have adult children in the basement with grandparents on the main floor. We look forward to our trip next summer!
Excellent house and location. Nice boat dock but steep hill to it. Only issue was getting a hold of the owner concerning the rental of his platoon boat. Would rent again
Pros-Large house with enough room for 11 family members, the inside of the house was very clean, we rented the pontoon boat and made for an enjoyable week
Cons-The outside of the house and the dock area looked like it hadnt been cleaned up for the spring/summer season. The plank going to the dock was an accident waiting to happen. In fact we did have someone fall. We had three nice refrigerators but only one of the ice makers worked. The refri in main kitchen dripped water and we had to keep a towel by it. There was not enough seating for a group of 11 on the top deck. All the chairs on the bottom deck were filthy. The information notebook needs to have more details-we didnt know how to turn dock lights on and the garbage cans were all full and there was no instructions to when they would be picked up.
All that being said-we might rent again if the outside areas were cleaned and repaired. The house itself was great!
VERY NICE PLACE. WE HAD 10 ADULTS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE. VERY CLEAN. Gary was a great host we had everything we needed. Rented his pontoon boat for the day and had a great time. Awesome lake very big and clean. Should have rented it more but we were so busy doing other things. I slept in one of the bunkbeds and it was one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on I was really surprised. Everyone in the family really enjoyed the week no complaints at all from anybody and that's suprising with my family. Maynardville people were so warm and friendly. Thanks to them and thanks to you Gary we were so blessed to stay there. A lot of great family memories were made that week. Thanks again Gary, Scott
The property has everything that you need and more. We had 5 couples with us and we had more than enough space! We will definitely rent again! Boat dock is perfect too!
This is a great place to spend the week at Lake Norris. We vacation at the lake every summer and now that our kids are college age it was nice that they had a space to enjoy with their friends. The downstairs had a full kitchen and the door closed from the main floor so the basement was private. The house is beautiful and Gary was very easy to work with. We have already booked again for next summer! Thanks Gary!
