Snowmobile Trip - 2/8/25

Cabin and location were great. Just enough room for our large trailer, and right on the trail. Inside was much better than the pictures show. Great little cabin.

Cute cabin, beautiful area

The cabin is beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed for our few days. The only problem we encountered was the sauna was not working, which was a huge draw for choosing the cabin for a winter trip and we never heard anything back after reaching out about it.. Even still, the location was fantastic and we'd consider another stay in the future.

Nice!

Communication from the manager and owner made everything easy - including finding the house at night, and getting inside. The kitchen has the pots and pans that we needed, and even an electric griddle. The living room has comfy couches and room to relax. Awesome location!

Great For Atv

We picked this place mainly because it was on the atv trails, but it's a really great cabin. Little out of town so private but close enough to just run and grab something if you need it quick. Would stay again for sure!

Cute Quiet Cabin

Nice cabin in the woods, close to lots of North Shore attractions! We had 5 adults and 1 dog and used the trail shack as our home base for a long weekend getaway. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and we were very relaxed and happy during our stay.

Nice cabin, great location

We had a very nice stay at the cabin--the woodwork is truly amazing and fun to look at. We loved the fireplace, kitchen, and comfy master bed. The second bedroom is up a set of (super cool but) uneven steep stairs, so know if that works for your party before booking.Do note that this stay is listed as pet friendly but after booking, in the house rules, you are told that dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms, on any carpet or furniture. While these are certainly reasonable asks, disclosure prior to booking would have been useful. fri3bdlyfriendly, but

Perfect location

We loved our stay here! The cabin is very comfortable & clean with the cutest decor. We were able to visit several state parks up and down Hay 61 due to the centralized location of this property. The hosts were so accommodating, we loved it so much that we extended our stay by one night. We will definitely be back in the future!

North Shore getaway

We (two couples) enjoyed our four days immensely, biking, hiking, cooking together, and sitting around a campfire. One of us even used the sauna in summer! This is a great location for whatever you're looking to do on the North Shore.

About the host

Hosted by Melissa Bellanger

Host profile image
We are a family of five. We have another rental in the area and we love the North Shores variety of activities. One day we will be hiking, then biking, then on ATV or Snowmobile trails. I wish we had more time for the North Shore ourselves. I seem to enjoy more the more time I spend up there. Every season has something new to offer.

Why they chose this property

I loved the private lot of the Trail Shack and the convenience and flexibility that it offered. I wanted a clean, comfortable place with some character. I loved the access to all of the trails. You can access beaver bay and silver bay through the trail systems and avoid ever going on highway 61.

What makes this property unique

Easy access to roads, trails, restaurants, bars, activities without compromising privacy.
