Nice

The cottage itself is very nice, clean with basic necessities. However you are on a property with several other cottages right next door, and the dock backs onto highway 35. If privacy and quiet are what you’re hoping for, I wouldn’t recommend. The access to boats and firepits are a huge plus, as well as Netflix and Wifi.

Cozy Getaway

Loved having the use of paddle boards, paddle boats, kayaks. Cabins are rustic and neat but could use an upgrade in kitchen amenities. Netflix and WIFI was a definite plus.

good overall experience

The property was very nice and we enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The owner is very helpful and checked in on us to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The location is ideal for people who want to get away from the city, but still want to be within driving distance from towns. The only downside was the smell of sewage which sometimes carried through into the cottage, so I would recommend an air freshener (we brought a wax melter and it masked the smell). Overall, it was a great experience and we would highly consider returning.

Feedback

We encountered a few difficulties during our stay: We could not get a key for the cottage until a day after we arrived. We did not have water for over 24 hours. Furthermore; the smell from the septic tank is very strong at times and makes staying indoors unpleasant. It is our opinion you should let people know the cottages face a road and show an accurate photo of the location.
