Aug 2024 getaway

Host was great, and responded quickly to any and all messages. The view of the sunset from the dock was better then described! The fish were very active and jumping everywhere while we watched the sunset. The neighborhood was beautiful and made for a nice evening walk.

26th Wedding Anniversary

It was a wonderful stay. Location was great. Five minute drive to ocean, shopping, and eating. The room was clean and one of the most comfortable beds to sleep in.

Spectacular salt breeze on pier at sunset. Reminded me of where I grew up on the river, quiet like home was. Wonderful find to stay; bed, bath, quiet & No Light Pollution.

Anniversary stay

Me and my girlfriend stayed here from 7/2 to 7/7, and our 3 year anniversary was on the 5th. This room is perfect for two trying to stay close to the beach, and everything else. Right next to wright brothers national memorial. We definitely enjoyed our stay and the owners were very nice. Thank you for letting us stay.

Great Getaway Location

My husband and I had a wonderful evening staying at this property. We were slipping away for an evening without kids, and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to get away to this relaxing space. After walking to dinner at a local restaurant, we returned in time to watch the sunset from the dock. We highly recommend staying here!

Cute and Comfortable on Carolina's Coast!

Cathy's place is indeed Instagram worthy! It is nicely styled, clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a perfect spot for our stop on the way to Ocracoke Island for a week's stay. We found local, fresh seafood that night for dinner and good, local coffee the next morning. Cathy was very responsive and a dream host!

Comfy room in a beautiful home and location!

This hidden gem is a very clean and comfortable room of a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood of Kill Devil Hills, just north of the Wright Brothers National Memorial on the Outer Banks. Wide sandy beaches and great restaurants are close by - the sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean are magnificent! Cathy and Adam are very friendly hosts, and they have a dock on an inlet of Roanoke Sound that is a great place to relax and breathe in the seaside beauty. If you enjoy watching soaring Ospreys and sunsets over the water, this is the place for you! I am looking forward to staying here again!

Quick Getaway

Took some rare time off work for a 4-day weekend. Cathy was a great hostess and responds quickly to messages! Greatly appreciate letting us borrow the bikes - there are multi-use trails around the area I highly recommend taking advantage of! At least one sunset from the dock is also a must :) Thanks for a great stay!

Great communication, clean room, and wonderful location. We enjoyed fishing off of the private pier. Next time we will use the kayak 😎Owner has added a privately controlled a/c unit, so the room is now perfect. Thanks for everything!

Hi, I'm Cathy! My Adam husband and I live in Kill Devil Hills with our two children. We LOVE the Outer Banks and have both lived here for 20+ years. Our favorite things to do are hang out and watch the sunset on our dock, travel and explore cool new places, watch our kids play sports and spend lazy days at the beach with friends and family.

We purchased this property in the fall of 2019 because we fell in love with the gorgeous view! It's truly the most gorgeous place on the Outer Banks.
