This is our 3rd stay at this cabin on Manson Lake
enjoyed the beautiful fall colors and serenity of having the lake to ourselves. Hiking paths at Bradley Park and Bearskin Trail were aglow with color. Love this quaint cottage, its many amenities and its location.
This is our 2nd visit to this cabin - the first was last October when we really enjoyed the fall beauty. We wanted to come back to enjoy the warmer weather and the lake. We appreciate having the kayaks, paddleboard and paddle boat to use. We managed to paddle the perimeter of the 236 acre lake entirely during our 3 day stay - what a beautiful and peaceful lake!
Cabin was very clean and well stocked. The location is minutes from Tomahawk and we hiked with our dog at Bradley Park 2 days - gorgeous trails and scenery. We will definitely be back next year!
Had a great stay and the owners were very responsive and easy to work with. The cabin had everything you would ever need for your stay. The shoreline near the dock is extremely shallow and good for swimming. We caught 40 or more bluegill from the weed bed about 30 feet offshore and one 3-pound small mouth from the dock. Great time.
Place was very clean and well equipped. Close to water and plenty of waterfowl to see every day. Owner was easy to reach and quick to respond to any questions. We were very early in spring (May 4-11). So dock wasn’t in yet but no problem.
Water is very shallow so fishing from shore didn’t work too well
Overall very nice and would stay again
Cute, clean cabin right on the lake. Many thoughtful little extras, such as coffee, tea, seasonings. As well as foil, cling wrap, etc. Well thought out and comfortable. Lots of wildlife viewing on Mason Lake.
This was our first time trying a VRBO and it was everything that we hoped it would be! It was great to be able to bring our sweet doggo and she loved it too! Cute, rustic, very quiet, close to the shoreline, hiking trails, restaurants/bars. It had lots of amenities and supplies you would find in your own home. Loved how "homey" and peaceful it was! We would love to come again and experience other seasons.
We had such a wonderful time during our stay, we wish it could have been longer. Thank you sooo much for letting us stay in your lovely home. We spent most of our time in the kayaks exploring every inch of the lake, we even found "fairy zone". We enjoyed floating on inner tubes and swimming and teaching the dogs to jump off the dock, the sandy beach was wonderful. We like to cook so we cooked all our meals and the kitchen with its pots/pans/utensils/spices were perfect. Thanks again for a wonderful stay for us to rest, relax and rejuvenate.
Had a great time at the cabin with wonderful lake access! Would definitely stay again!

Family weekend
We have a home on the lake and were in need of additional sleeping space for our large family get together. The cabin was great for that. We didn’t use it during the day as we were all at our cottage. Would reserve it again when the need arises!
Property was Perfect, very clean beautiful view couldn’t believe all the supplies that they had. They even had toys for the puppy and treats. Will give a high recommendation to anybody interested in this
We truly enjoyed our stay at your cabin. Upon arrival we found the entire place very clean. We really enjoyed our view of the lake in the morning, spending lots of time on the deck reading and fishing off the dock. We would definitely come back. The host was wonderful and answered all of our questions promptly. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!!
Our family had a nice stay at this cabin on Manson lake. The cabin suited our needs and was supplied with all the essentials. The lake is a nice small size with very nice clear water. Be careful it is not well marked and there are rock bars all over. It is not heavily used even on the weekend so you can get some nice ski runs in almost anytime of the day. Fishing was ok too. I managed to catch a couple bass and northern on the last morning and the kids caught some bluegill from the dock throughout the stay. We would stay again!
The week went so fast! Nice, quiet and relaxing cabin on dead end road. The lake is a nice size and pretty quiet. Lots of places to explore on my kayak. Other nice lakes and rivers in the area to check out too. Owner is very responsive to questions.
Great place to stay with family for a quiet getaway!
We had a wonderful time here! The owners were very responsive to any question we had! The cabin was very clean and organized. We loved the decorations and nice touches like the toys for the kids.
This is a very clean and well kept property. It is located at the end of a quiet dead-end street, and directly on the lake. Very peaceful, with great lake views from the living area. Communication with the host was excellent and he was extremely helpful. We had a great time and hope to return soon!
The cottage was very clean, great views and very comfortable Check in process was very easy the cottage was ready for our stay. The access to the lake was right there and although the fishing (ice fishing) was not good it was great to be able to just walk out the door and onto the lake for a walk. Overall a very relaxing stay.
This was a great cabin and the perfect getaway that we needed. We got to spend 2.5 days on the ice fishing and hiking. While the fishing was slow, it was a perfect getaway. We met a handful of the neighbors throughout our stay and they were all extremely friendly and welcoming to us. This is a great little neighborhood and well love to return here.

About the host
Hosted by Bobby Freitag
We are the Freitag's (Friday in German). We bought our little slice of paradise in the Northwoods in the fall of 2020. We want to share our getaway with you. Our lives can get pretty crazy with Emily's full time job as a nurse and Bobby's full time job as a Firefighter. We also own a lawn and landscape business. When we need time to relax and slow down, the Northwoods is where we head. If you have any questions for us, please don't hesitate to ask.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin may not be a huge party pad, but it's just like the quaint cabins from the northwoods trips that you remember and hold dearly in your childhood memories. Of course, we have updated a few things to help with todays amenities that we are all used to.
