This is a studio style rustic cabin located on the main street Big Bear Blvd near popular attractions, such as The Village a mile away, and Snow Summit less than a mile away. This cabin features full wood logs as part of the architecture, cozy private spa and fireplace to complete the Big Bear Lake experience!
From the curb the property may not seem all that appealing, but once you enter the driveway lined by pine trees, you'll find a little gem hidden behind those pine trees. Plenty of room for parking, and much privacy for couples.
The main cabin (originally the bed and breakfast building operated by the original owners) is not accessible to guest occupying this listing unless permission is given. A large selection of boardgames and DVDs are available in there, and you can request specific entertainment options from there to be used and then returned during your stay. You're welcome to use and enjoy any of the benches in and around the gardens on the property, and kindly share the barbecues :)

This is a the perfect sized cabin for 2 to get away. The bed is extremely comfortable. The property manager is very sweet. VERY close to the heart of Big Bear.
Very difficult check in. But the stay was wonderful. The check-in gal is a darling asian lady who speaks NO english. But she's a hard worker keeping the property rustic and beautiful. We especially enjoyed the 6 kittens on the property she takes good care of. We'd stay here again but in a larger unit.
Fireplace needs the chimney cleared. Cosmetic improvements woukd go a long way vs bandaid repairs.
Snow off sidewalk would have been nice. Communication needs improvement.
Overall my husband and I enjoyed our one-night stay here. We got a bit confused because the email said we were in 5G I think, but after not being able to open the lockbox at cabin 5, the cleaning lady showed us that we were in cabin 4. A little odd. We liked that there was a mini fridge, a Fire TV, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and even earplugs. However, and I saw it mentioned before, the chimney REALLY needs to be cleaned out. The room filled with smoke even though the flue was open and made EVERYTHING smell like we had been camping. I can see why the smoke alarm has been removed. But we still had a pleasant stay and would recommend it (if the chimney gets cleaned).
Upon our arrival to our cabin, the key had already been taken out of lock box. Knocked on the door and a couple answered and said it was their room. I checked my reservation and co former it was my room. The property manager came out and called someone who I spoke with. I gave him my reservation number and he spoke with the couple in the cabin. Turns out the couple was allowed to check in early for the cabin they had booked for the next day. A whole day early. The manager on the phone apologized and stated he would upgrade us to a bigger better room if that was OK. I said I chose the room I chose because I like the layout of it but I would check it out anyways. It was almost the same layout, so I didn’t want to cause any more fuss and just accepted the room. The room was nice but the hot water quickly ran out when we tried to fill up the hot tub Jacuzzi inside the room. Also, the drain plug at the bottom of the Jacuzzi didn’t really do its job and allowed the water to drain quickly.
I booked for a few days away from real life. Great property. Nice room. The fireplace was a little smokey. Great jacuzzi tub. It was a bit uncomfortable 'checking in'. I received an email with a passcode for a lockbox with the key, but nowhere did I notice which unit was mine. Process of elimination, I found it!
Well I gave this place 5 stars on
Cleanliness, check in process, accuracy online, communication with property owner, location… but I must be truthful about what happened while we were there, we left twice and both times someone came into our cabin stole my wife’s boots, her leggings, her hair brush, and her sunglasses. All personal items, not enough to file a police report, but enough to pack our stuff up and leave 4 days early. Creepy place
Perfect location near snow summit especially with crowded mountains and parking issues. Quiet location. Could use a light in the closet. Small and functional
I went skiing for my birthday and this VRBO could not have been more perfect. Locations was amazing and the place was very cozy with a fire place and spa tub which was great to soak in after a day of skiing. The only thing was there was no firewood and I had to go buy some. Everything else was perfect.
