We stayed here during the holidays and the weather was frigid which limits a lot to being indoors. The temperatures reached 19 degrees, and the heat in the house was not working which was extremely uncomfortable. We reached out to the property owner Daisy who had a technician come over to evaluate. He found that the heat in the boiler room was powered off (he wasn't sure why) and there were other issues that he couldn't resolve which required further service. Given the holiday timing, they wouldn't be able to have anyone come to fix it. We would have driven home that night but my husband was tired from the drive in so we stayed and layered up a lot. Especially during extreme temperatures, the heating/cooling system should have been properly evaluated before having renters stay for a period of time.
Additionally, as timing would have it, we arrived the day of a bad storm that caused trees to fall. This property had a sizable tree that fell down and landed next to the edge of the house, while we were in it. Thankfully, no one was hurt but it came close the edge of the house and the outcome could have been much worse if the angle of the tree landed even a little differently. Given the trees on this property, it should be fully evaluated by a tree service for safety concerns and potential removal of dangerously positioned trees. Outside of that the property needs upgrades (ie, blinds fell off track, drawer fell out when opened, etc.)
On a positive note, Daisy is very friendly and receptive, and did what she could from a distance. But there are several issues that need to be properly addressed in order for renters to have a positive and safe experience.
