Fantastic House and Owners

Probably the cleanest house we’ve ever rented. Beautifully decorated with an amazing view! The owners were quick to respond and resolve a small issue that was far outside their control. Definitely will stay again!

Awesome location and house. Appreciated the sidewalk to the lake. I know it would be hard to do, but having a kitchen on the lower level would provide additional capability for a family to cook.

Great house for visiting with family!

This house was a wonderful place to gather together in multiple small groups for a family visit. Spectacular view to the lake through the trees. The porches on multiple levels were well used, and the large dining room table helped. Small kitchen, but that's not uncommon w/ vacation homes. Lots of little extras that added to the experience (games, propane fire pit, kayaks, etc.) I suspect we'll be back one of these days!

Fantastic home for families

The home is very clean and comfortable. Great home for families with young children. Owners are very responsive and nice to deal with. They have thought about everything their guests might need and the house is well stocked with necessities (towels, linens, pillows, cookware, etc). The hill to access the water is steep and not easy for people with mobility issues but that was communicated when we booked. The pathway is definitely walkable and easy enough for anyone with no mobility issues. We really enjoyed our stay!

Lake house

The host was communicative in regards to directions. The house was decent, but it was outdated. The sheets especially were old and used up. If you are planning on renting a boat/pontoon and leave it at the dock, reconsider since the water level fluctuates a lot/fast and I don’t think it would be safe to park the boat there.

Wonderful place to stay!

This house was perfect for us for this trip. Great location - about 15 minutes to Pickens, where there are grocery stores and a few restaurants. We enjoyed Coyote Coffee in Pickens for breakfast. There is a great hike in Keowee Toxaway State Park that is 5 minutes down the road. The house is very clean, and the beds are comfortable. We had plenty of room to spread out when we wanted, but mostly enjoyed being together in the family room and the screened porch, which was very relaxing. Next time, we'd like to stay here in warmer weather so we can swim off the dock pier. We had planned to use the kayaks, but just didn't have enough time. I love that the house comes with kayaks and a paddle board. The owners were very nice and responsive. Great stay - hope to be back!

Cousin Camp with the grandparents

Nice property right on the lake if you can handle lots of steps down with no hand rail. That was our biggest challenge. The house was well stocked and was very quiet. The hosts were quick to respond to our requests. But when I called about a tv not working the host intimated it was my problem . Not cool and as it turns out the previous renter also had a problem .

FIRST Annual family getaway

First off, this is a BEAUTIFUL property. The views are spectacular from the decks. This was the first time that my large extended family came together in a location, where we all traveled and spent several days in the same house together. That being said... Everyone had a marvelous time. Everything is provided for you, by the owners, who are very responsive to anything that you might have questions about. The house is beautifully outfitted with everything that you need. (Always bring extra toilet paper and paper towels) There are even kayaks provided, for those that want to venture out and ping pong if you prefer an indoor sport. There is plenty of room to spread out. The kids enjoyed having their "own" space to play and watch movies. There are tons of games. Parks nearby for hiking, geocaching, and kids playground. This is a terrific place and certainly worth staying again. Thank you Robert!

Amazing stay!

We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed every inch of this property! Everything was exactly as advertised and exceeded our expectations. We loved how the bedrooms were separated from the living area allowing those who turned in early to not be disturbed. Kitchen was a little small, but fully stocked and workable. The outside areas were nicely appointed and we appreciated the screen in porch. The kiddos loved the bottom floor with the separate den as well as the ping pong table in the garage. The cove was perfect for floating and it was nice to have a short walk to the boat dock. Super close to Lake Jocassee as well if you are looking to lake hop as we do. Overall- excellent stay and we will be back! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

Great family getaway!

This is a beautiful property with different areas that all can have some quiet if they want. Great outdoor sitting areas with 2 balconies. We had multigenerational, so we really appreciated that. The kids loved the ping pong table. Us Floridians got a work out with the steps but that's just us...weak quads! The views are magical by day and night. We cooked a bit and even used the crockpot. A new skillet would be good, but that's the only suggestion I have! Fantastic spot!! Thank you for a peaceful stay!!

Wonderful Family Lake House

Great house with all the amenities! So many thoughtful touches to make our stay comfortable. We especially appreciated the toys and puzzles for the kids, and that they had their own little space to play. We loved the neighborhood and this section of the lake. It was perfect for our family getaway!

Beautiful getaway

We’ve stayed at many rentals and this one ranks #1 In cleanliness! We were also impressed with the amount of everyday essentials already at the house such as trash bags, dish soap, and condiments. The location was great, 30 minutes to Clemson. It has a beautiful view in the back. We didn’t utilize the water and activities available but were also impressed with what was offered. The only not so great things were that the bathrooms downstairs are kind of dated and dark and the kitchen is small but they weren’t really deal breakers for us. Overall the property is a great place to stay!

Excellent Family Vacation Spot!

This house was excellent for our family of 12! We had age ranges from 5 to 75 and everyone loved it! There was plenty of provided entertainment (kayaks, games, puzzles, toys, ping pong, swings) to keep the littles entertained and the adults appreciated the porch sitting options! Well stocked kitchen for cooking and linens / towels were appreciated. We would definitely rent here again!

Sweet location on a gorgeous lake!

What an amazing property. The house was beautifully decorated, had plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 kids. We took the kayaks out every day multiple times, floated and fished. The lake was peaceful and just stunning! We checked out a brewery nearby, but just wanted to stay at the house and play in the water. The kids DVDs and lego set were a lifesaver! Host is very receptive and friendly. Def recommend!!!!

Lovely stay

We loved the location. They have a boat dock that allowed us to dock our boat. We enjoyed the home with our group. The owners are fantastic and always available. The water is emerald green. The house is located on a quiet inlet which is great for peace and quiet.

Wonderful time on Lake Keowee

One of our best VRBO rentals! The house was clean, very well kept, and had all the right toys for some fun at the lake. Having the kayaks available was really fun. We brought a couple of paddle boards ourselves and eight of us made our way across the lake to Jump Off Rock. We all took the plunge even though the water was likely only in the high 50’s. It was a great fit as we had two families that included seven teenagers. The two boys were upstairs and the five girls in the basement. As the homeowners instructed, we stocked up on some food in nearby Pickens, but also enjoyed some of the quaint restaurants in Pickens as well. Coyote Coffee was the favorite of the bunch...but the doughnuts at You Drive Me Glazy were probably the best we ever had. We would definitely recommend to others and would stay again if we are able to return to western SC.
