Description and pictures were accurate. It was very relaxing space, short drive into Park Rapids for some fun shopping, and a great outdoor space for all cousins to hang out and have a good time. Curt was amazing with answering all inquiries quickly. Overall a nice to place to stay!!
Our family enjoyed our second great stay at this beautiful cabin and location. The space in the cabin is perfect for our yearly family gathering, and the location is so gorgeous, between the river and the lake. Curt is very quick to respond to any questions as well. Thanks Curt, we plan to be back!
Quiet end of the road in the woods cabin. We loved it plenty of beds & lots of space to spread out. The canoes & row boat were well used by the kids. Kids enjoyed the chipmunks! Owner was very responsive.
Our group of 10 absolutely loved this property! Right on the river where you can swim, tube, canoe, kayak, and boat! This property and house were huge! Plenty of room to hang out inside or out! The house had everything you need for a large group of people! We definitely want to stay here again! In the woods, private yard, amazing river! No complaints!
We enjoyed our stay again this year. Even though the river was a little lower than expected the kids still had fun playing. We also went into Menahga to swim at Spirit Lake which has a beautiful beach only 3 miles away. This cabin is close enough to Park Rapids that we were able to take in some tourists' attractions there also.
We had a wonderful fall getaway. The place was specious, quiet, and well stocked.
Exterior of building needs updating but surprisingly interior was very nice.
Accommodated 5 couples well. Different bedroom setup for each couple though.

Very private
We like it. The water levels were very low for our boats.
We had a large group of family, friends, kids and adults, (17 )Ages 4-84. Swan Point was perfect for us…we all made great use of the canoes, kayaks, and row boat, the kids just swimming in the clear, sandy bottom river just off the dock. Going upstream and doing some fishing in the lake. The house was very spacious and had everything and more that we needed. Plenty of space to pitch a couple air mattresses for the extra members in our party. Overall, exactly what we were hoping for, for our group.
Though this home is a bit rustic, it was clean, stocked with fresh water, bedding, towels, etc! And they also provided firewood ( we did bring much of own but when it turned cool, we were glad to have a bit more!). Your thoughtfulness to the little details was commendable! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
This was our third year staying at Swan's Point as our vacation. Again we had a very relaxing time (as much as you can with an 11th month old baby :) ). The water was high so we were able to dock our boat with no troubles. The kitchen was will stocked with appliances, pans, dishes, etc. for cooking and grilling. Plenty of room both indoors and outdoors for us all (9) to visit and play.
This property's setting was the best. The peaceful woods and water with birds singing and even a fox siting made the visit the perfect exhale for our family.
We needed a place for our extended family to stay for a long weekend as we were all in town for a memorial service. We had plenty of room for all of us and everything we needed for large family meals including a well stocked kitchen, gas grill, and lots of seating around a camp fire. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. The bottled water available was also very appreciated. Not fancy but very cozy. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Our family really enjoyed our time spent at Whispering Pines at Swan Point. The location was magnificent. You are literally at the end of the road. It is quiet and peaceful. It is nice and dark at night. Our 2 and 4 year old grandsons loved to explore and play in the river. The river is clear and only about 4 feet deep which was fun for playing in the water. The cabin was a little more rustic than we initially thought, but it was nice for the kids. The long hallway provided an opportunity for the kids to play, and unwind. The birds, squirrels and chipmunks provided hours of enjoyment just watching them. Thank you for the extra bird seed as we filled the feeders a couple of times throughout the week. We enjoyed the camp fires we had everyday. There was plenty of firewood available on site. It was close to town so we could make a quick stop to get the things we needed. There was a person who lived up the road who sold eggs from his chickens that we visited a couple of times. Nothing like fresh eggs. The cabin was stocked with the things we needed for the week. The beds were comfortable and clean. We didn't use the TV's much but did bring our ROKU just in case. If you want a place out of the way this is the place for you, quiet, peaceful, nature, and solitude. Hopefully we will be able to make it back in the near future.
We had a group of 8 and had more than enough room to spare! The location was quiet and secluded for a relaxing weekend. The water was very shallow by the dock, but it was a pretty short paddle in a canoe or kayak to the main lake. The cabin was comfortable with all the necessities. Our host was responsive in a timely manner to any questions we had.
We had 12 people (8 adults and 4 kids) and this property was spacious enough for all of us to spread out and relax. We loved the large dining room and the property had plenty of room for the kids to run around outside. We enjoyed the river and lake, the large bonfire pit, and Itasca State Park in driving distance made a fun day trip for us. Thanks for the memories!
We have found the cabin we want to repeat! The cabin is spacious with all the room we needed. We especially loved the big kitchen table for meals and family games! The additional table was great as a couple of us love doing puzzles while on vacation. We had a 15 month old, just shy of walking and the long hallway in the cabin was like an indoor playground for him.
There is not enough to be said about the beautiful (huge) yard and bodies of water! We loved having the lakes and river to play in. We even found a rope swing on the river that my adult sons enjoyed trying out. The beach is small, but wonderful for little ones to play and explore with sand, water, and a few beach toys.
A bonus here is the bird watching. Eagles nest on the property and there are many bird feeders bringing in all kinds of birds, even hummingbirds.
A wonderful cabin location and experience. Extremely responsive host. We are already planning our return next year.
We had a relaxing few days with our whole family (infant up to adults) having plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the river/lake. The shallow water and sand on the river was perfect for the toddler in our group and a short ride up to the lake was perfect for older ages.

Great Property
We just stayed here for a week long family vacation. There was more than enough room for all 10 of us, and the owners made sure the house was well stocked with everything we needed and then some!
Property was secluded (perfect for some family time! Yard was large enough for many yard games. The hammocks were perfect for a nap! The house had plenty of room for everyone to spread out if they needed some quiet time. Bedrooms worked well for our family. Things that could be improved- there was only one canoe paddle. The dryer sounded like a bearing was going out. The garbage was full and tipped over when we arrived (outside garbage cans) did not pick up till friday morning. Last i know the water was low but the beach could have been cleaned of moss. overall it was a great place to vacation we would stay again!

Why they chose this property
Vacationed at this property as a child and have many happy and fulfilling memories. Excited to have the opportunity to return per diem and enjoy "The Great Outdoors". Looking forward to completing upgrades and renovations in the upcoming years.
What makes this property unique
This property is at the Point joining Lower Twin Lake and Shell River. Unique, as it is at the end of the road. No through traffic. Water is deep enough for fishing boats but shallow enough for children and adults to enjoy. A walking path has been maintained around the point for a back to nature experience. Surrounding roads are maintained and groomed dirt/gravel roads. Nearest towns are Menahga and Park Rapids. Local people are welcoming and very pleasant. Nice place to visit!
