Renovated house with sandy beach on the Bay 5 minutes from Elk Rapids
Renovated home surrounded by mature trees with beautiful views of the Bay. This house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and an oversize bonus room with a pull out sofa over the garage. A shaded plank wood path takes you to its own sandy beach. A paddle board or kayaks can take you on a peaceful tour of the bay. Or just swim in the turquoise waters. A fire pit and Adirondack chairs make for a perfect location to watch the sunset across the bay, roast marshmallows or star gaze when the sun sets to a beautiful starry night.
This house is a five minute drive (or a 15 minute bike ride) to the quaint town of Elk Rapids which hosts many wonderful restaurants, as well as its own public beach and park. The park has a fantastic playground as well as public tennis and pickle ball courts and a delicious ice cream shop.
Less than two miles from the house is Maplehurst Natural Area- a beautiful preserve of hiking trails and fishing for the kids.

Everything was great about the stay. The house is exactly as advertised, has all the supplies you need (towels, bedding, extra blankets, paper towel, toilet paper, ziplock bags, etc.) The house is newly renovated with spacious kitchen. The beach is absolutely amazing, and has kayaks, body boards, paddles, and life jackets. It was a amazing space for our family of four, plus a friend that joined us. View is amazing, we loved the hammock and solitude. Very quiet. 5 star for sure!!!
Clean, nicely renovated home provided a great place for our family to enjoy the pure Michigan beauty of up north! Sandy beach and shallow swimming made for relaxing days full of fun, especially with the kayaks and paddle boards. Thoughtful touches like sand toys, life jackets, bikes etc make this especially family friendly, and we also appreciated the nice touch of a local cherry pie and bottle of wine! Thanks again for a great week!
We could not have had a better experience at this truly magical home! The home is very comfortable and stylish with a beautiful, spacious and very well-stocked kitchen. My family enjoyed sharing many meals here together creating memories that will last a lifetime. The gorgeous views of the lake and path to your own private beach are the icing on the cake! Thank you Ben and Rebecca for your excellent communication and for allowing us to stay in your paradise.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lake home. The beds were comfortable and linens and towels fresh. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the SUP boards and kayaks. Dining on the deck was the highlight of the evening and we later enjoyed the beach fire. Weather was good most days for us (June was a little earlier than we wanted for our vacation, but it worked out and we had sunshine and the water warmed up on our 3rd day. Everything was set up well for our family and we will return (if we don't end up moving to the area in retirement, haha)!
Ben & Rebecca's home was absolutely perfect in every way! They were very attentive hosts, and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into making this an enjoyable space. We spent most of our time enjoying the beach or back deck, but the nearby town of Elk Rapids was cute and a great place to walk around or grab a meal. We definitely plan on returning to this house in the future!
