We enjoyed hiking Mt Rainier and walking to dinner each night in Packwood! The beds were comfy and we loved the hot tub after hiking. The cabin was clean and everything you need is available in the kitchen.
We rented two adjacent homes on Bugle Lane for an extended family gathering. The Wolf Den, like the other homes, is very new and has a beautiful setting. We enjoyed pleasant fall weather, close to Mt Rainier and all its spectacular scenery.
Well appointed home. The things that make the home comfortable and functional were provided. Area is centrally located. Would stay there again without hesitation.
We go on a girls trip every year, and this is the second year we have stayed at the Wolfe Den. The cabin itself is perfect and the location to town can't be beat! We look forward to booking here again next year.
Upon arrival we had a problem with the gate code, but we were able to reach the host and rectify the situation immediately. The house is clean and comfortable, and the hot tub is a definite bonus. The proximity of the house to restaurants, coffee and groceries is very convenient, and seeing the elk roam the neighborhood was priceless!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Wolf Den! It was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was a good base for our day trips to Mt. Rainier. Would definitely stay again if we end up in Packwood in the future!
Our family really enjoyed the Wolfe Den house. Cozy beds, well stocked kitchen for cooking and an all around wonderful reprieve for our family. Great proximity to skiing/boarding at White Pass. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay a couple days longer. We would love to stay here again.
It was great. Walking distance to the grocery store and town. And walking distance to the flea market.
My husbands birthday weekend was fantastic, he enjoyed his weekend.
My husband, our adult son, our 3 grandsons and I stayed at the Wolfe Den for 3 nights. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The location is great! All the guys went skiing at White Pass and it was a nice walk for me to go to the stores in Packwood.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This lovely vacation home in a secure cul de sac is spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The color scheme and fun decor add to the feeling of an adventurous vacation ahead! And what a comfort it was to return to it after all the great adventures the 6 of us had in Ranier NP. Highly recommended for a large family or group.
Great location for a quick daily trip up the mountain to skiing, clean and well organized to be comfortable after a day on the slopes. Host was super communicative about how to access and kept us up to speed on check in status. 10/10 would stay here again!
We enjoy staying in Packwood as a base to visit Mt Rainier and Goat Rocks. This house was beautiful and comfortable for our family. Stylish new features, well-appointed kitchen, and comfortable beds. The location is a new development a few blocks back from the main highway through town, so it's good walking distance to town but without a lot of traffic noise. Would definitely stay again!
Safe & comfortable relaxation right outside of Mt Rainier
We booked this location to be close to the Paradise entrance of Mt Rainier and it worked really well for us! We had a full day of hiking and exploring some of the most beautiful meadows, waterfalls and glaciers I've ever seen. The "Wolf Den" was quiet, clean and so comfortable - the beds, chairs, couch, hot tub, fire pit...everything was so well set up for our family to spend time relaxing together in the evenings. A short drive (or walk if it wasn't so hot) to a grocery store, bakery & other cute restaurants if you forget anything. I would absolutely stay here again!
The Wolfe Den was a great base camp for exploring Rainier that was super convenient to the park and Packwood. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed for our stay. There were elk out front every morning and evening, and sitting with a coffee while our little boy watched them graze was a great way to start the day.
Would absolutely love to come back!
We stayed at the Wolf Den while we visited Mt. Rainier National Park and the location is perfect. 20 minutes to the Stevens Canyon entrance and 45 minutes to the Nisqually entrance. The house was spotless and stocked with good cookware and plenty of supplies, basic spices and condiments. The beds and linens were high quality also, we could tell the host didn’t skimp on the things that make guests feel at home. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking too! We liked that the neighborhood was gated, and we loved having coffee and watching the elk walk by. Thank you Wolf Den!
This house was perfect for our group of seven. The house was really clean and new. I really appreciated the bounty of towels and the nice quality of the dishes. We enjoyed sitting outside in the back patio area after hiking, and we were pleased that the little town of Packwood had groceries and good pizza!
Very relaxing Christmas vacation with ski benefits
The house is very clean and have everything you need. Kids enjoyed their room with bank beds. Everything you need in kitchen, a lot of towels, etc.
Very nice decorations and bedding for Christmas time. We enjoyed Christmas tree. Thank you for thinking about small details.
