Reviewer Comments:
Living in Indiana winter can be cold and miserable, So we escaped to Jekyll Island for the month February and enjoyed the warm sunny weather. We had a great visit with warm days and great food.
The house is very nice with plenty of room for a small family. It is a short walk across the street to a beautiful beach. We’ll definitely stay here again.
Just a short walk to the beach. Quiet during our stay. Relaxing outdoor area in front. Close to our interests ( golf, biking, area around Jekyll Island Club). Wood floors need work. The inset front door knob caused me to mash my thumb two times. Leson learned after the second time.

Beautiful Island BAD accommodations
Terrible the house was supposed to be unlocked, waited 2 hours in cold weather for someone to respond then when we got inside a terrible odor we wanted to move but the representative said they had nothing available, we spent 2 hours with the doors open and fans running all bundled up, to try and remove the smell The next afternoon someone finally reached out to us but problem was not resolved. They brought a dehumidifier the next afternoon but it leaked out onto floor and never helped someone was supposed to reach out to me but still haven’t heard back, the only thing that saved us is that we were busy and stayed out of the house. Now that I am home I can still smell the odor had to clean everything BAD BAD BAD would not recommend
The house is great !! Needs a little work Here and there but a great little place to stay. Was very clean and hospitable. Agency was great check in and out directions could have been mor clear but all in all no real complaints here !
The property does need some updating. The was mold on the shower curtain liner. There were places where large areas of paint was coming off. The house was at a good location and a quiet area. We had deer come in the backyard almost everyday. The outside seating area was neat area to hangout in the evening when it cooled down.
We go to a different place each year. And I picked Jekyll Island. The house was furnished nicely. Our check-in was easy since you left the keys there. We enjoyed shopping, eating, and just catching up on our lives.

End of July Stay
The house was perfect size for our family of 5 and had an ample amount of kitchen items to cook meals. You could walk to a beach access easily. Unfortunately, the house is not as advertised. The master bed mattress is way too small for the frame and very uncomfortable. There is no clothes line to hang towels, multiple blinds were broken, and there is tons of paint chipping all over the house. The overall condition of the house was sub par.
We enjoyed our stay in Jekyll, as we always do. We were happy with the house upon arrival, but as our stay progressed, we noticed many areas of improvement. First, the house was very poorly cleaned. A lot of dust and loose hair found around the house, including all over the sofa and under furniture. The blinds would fall down as we attempted to open them. The outlets need replacing, as our plug ins would simply fall out. Fridge was rusted and looked nasty. Most issues were minor, but should be required to maintain an expensive vacation rental.

Disappointed
I would like to start by saying thank you to the rental company, Parker-Kaufman, for helping to make things right, as much as they could, with the property. I gave the rating a 2 because the condition of the rental is not at all what you see in the pictures. I brought my 11 month old granddaughter and this rental was not safe for her. The paint on the windows in the living and dinning room is peeling so bad you can pull it off in sheets The rug was so dirty my granddaughters feet, knees and hands were black after she crawled on it. The furniture is stained and worn. The pillows on the couch are made with feathers and there were feathers coming out of them every time we moved them. The outlet next to the dining room table doesn't work. There were dirty dishes and silverware in the cabinets. There was hair in both showers. The bed in the master bedroom does not fit the frame correctly and actually fell through the frame in the middle of the night. The outside furniture is rusted, worn out and filthy. Not a place to sit and relax. The back yard has poles for a clothes line but there is no rope on it to hang up your towels and bathing suits from the beach.
I know I sound like I have nothing nice to say about this place but please, if you have young children, do not take them here until they update things. If you have a group of only adults, be prepared, you may have to do some cleaning and the place is not as nice as what the pictures show.
