BUILDING AMENITIES: Silver Creek Lodge is just steps from the Silver Creek ski area, which provides great trails, terrain parks, and night skiing. Silver Creek is also home to the Coca-Cola Tube Park and Adaptive Sports Program. Lodge amenities include an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness room, retail shops, dining options, Locker Room Sports Bar (located on the main level), parking on-site, elevators, public washer/dryer, free WiFi, free long distance dialing, and free Resort Shuttle Service that will transport you to the Western Territory slopes, The Village, or the slopes at Soaring Eagle. Please check Snowshoe's website for hours, openings, and closures. Please note different slopes open/close at different times/days/months.

Great stay

We stayed here to ride the train at cass which we do every year. Our condo was clean and beautiful. Very comfortable beds! We all slept great. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub which was a bonus. All in all a fantastic stay. I’d stay longer if I could.

Great Space in a Great Place!

My wife and I traveled with our adult daughter and son along with our four grandkids (ages 20 months to 16). We had plenty of space and enjoyed the spectacular views. We made the trip to attend our youngest daughter’s wedding.

Best place in Snowshoe!

This is our absolute favorite spot to stay when going to Snowshoe. Great accommodations. We had 12 adults in our group. Very comfortable space. Plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, utensils, cookware, etc. Room for ski equipment. Loved night time skiing and being able to quickly get to our room.

Paradise

This 4-bedroom penthouse condo at Silver Creek was an absolute dream! Lodge amenities, including pool and hot tub, kids area, in-house equipment rental, and shops, and proximity to the slopes and tubing were perfect. Everybody in our party of 17 had something fun to do at all times. Sports bar food can be improved, and difficult to find change for the vending machines (would ideally take card).

Annual Ski Trip

This condo fits our family size very well. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that I noticed that needed improvement was the cleanliness of the kitchen floor. We could have done without the crusty mini marshmallows in the dishwasher area. The carpet in the dining area needs to be re-stretched. It has a large fold and creates a trip hazard.

Thoughtfully Equipped Apartment

This apartment was great - plenty of room for everyone, a huge kitchen with every tool/gadget you can think of and loads of space for storing ski stuff. In the ideal location in the lodge at Silver Creek. Skiing was not open at Silver Creek when we were there, however we were able to call the bus to take us across to Snowshoe, and it arrived within a few minutes every time.

We've stayed here many times and will continue to! (The only reason I dropped a star on cleanliness was because a few of the kitchen utensils had dried food on them. Which I realize is more the previous renter's fault than the cleaning staff or owners. There was also what looked like dried up food on the fireplace in the master)

Amazing Stay

Absolutely loved our trip! 12 adults with plenty of room for more. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Great areas for gathering and playing games. The location is perfect! Able to ski at Snowshoe during the day and Silver Creek at night. Snowshoe is about 15 minutes away. Loved being able to walk out and jump on tubing slopes. Ski rental, restaurant, small grocery store, ski accessory store, huge game area, indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub on site. Shuttle service was great. Picked us up at the front and the longest wait time was 20 minutes. We have already booked this place for next year because all 12 adults want a "redo"! So much fun.

Warm fridge crusty comforter

Great location with easy access to Silvercreek slopes However, for the price per night, a higher standard of cleanliness is expected. The kitchen floor was sticky, carpet felt dirty, and there was something white and crusty on the king comforter. In addition, the fridge and freezer were warm. We called maintenance and they never came. Not enough towels were provided and the bunk beds were not made. Again for the price per night a higher standard should be met.

Not ready for prime time

Owner communication was excellent. Property was located within a very short walk to several slopes. We had a lot of fun at this location. One of the primary things I post in a review and look for when I’m considering a property is whether a guest would return. Unfortunately for the price and total package we experienced I would not re-select this property. There are a few things that would need to change for me personally. For the unit my main complaint would be bedding. Perhaps mattress upgrades are in work one twin was up to standards. All the pull out couches had the thinnest mattress commercially available. All the main beds had a motel six quality mattress. When I’m on vacation I’m looking for Doubletree quality. And since we paid premium price for the vacation week I believe this was warranted. For the facility, snowshoe, there are numerous disadvantages. All groceries within 45 minutes are convenient store ++ prices. The unit has enough soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels to get you started. If you are there for a week he will need significant number of these items. As far as food items go you would want to pack everything in that you want for the week for all meals that you intend to cook. Regarding the ski experience rental and ticket acquisition are as challenging as possible. They are understaffed overworked and extremely inefficient process. Staff was wonderful for the most part as long as there was no wrinkle in the process. If you have a party of 14 like we did and anything comes up it is an uphill battle to take care of that one little issue. Many guests were dealing with inaccurate information provided on one part of the property and were sent on a wild goose chase to accomplish some small administrative function. Again you are paying the equivalent rate of larger ski resorts and they are not delivering on the experience. All that being said we had a blast and if you keep the right attitude you likely will as well. However since we have a choice where to spend our time and money I will likely be looking for other locations.

Penthouse

This is the penthouse at Silver Creek. It might. be the largest accommodation in Snowshoe at the top of the mountain. Very nice place. Would have been nice if the bunk beds were made. I did ask for a late check out. Never heard from the property owner. Overall very nice. I do recommend for a large group.
