Not too bad

It was difficult to regulate the temperature. The handle came off the stove. The door code quit working and we had to call someone for the lockbox code with the key. It’s was satisfactory but dated. Would not recommend

The description was spot on we loved the house and everyone was super excited when we got there and thought it was way nicer than it even looked in the pictures. Well kept. And felt like someone loved their home

Love this cabin!

This was our second time to stay at this homey little cabin. Tons of space and completely furnished with everything you need. Upstairs is a great bonus space for the older kiddos! We will be back!!!

Nice family home

We have stayed in this house three times now and we are still very pleased with the home. There is plenty of room for my large family and extra friends. The beds are comfy and the location is great. This year deer came in the yard and my daughter got to feed them by hand. We will definitely look at this house again next time we ski Wolf Creek.

Family Vacation

The house has plenty of room, games for the kids to play. There are no extra paper products. There were not even full rolls of toilet paper. Had to purchase toiler paper and paper towels. The front of the dishwasher as been broken for two years. We love this place and have stayed in it for 4 years.

Tops for a Family. We call it our family memory home

11 of us came to join in at our family reunion. My cousins had it at South Fork community hosting about 100. We were So Close to all the activities. Went to Crede, pagosa, Alamosa, ALL amazing! Moose Creek was a dream come true for all. We had ALL supplies plus for our stay. It was like a home away from home. I can honestly say hubby and I were anxious about it, as this is our First time to rent. Since we’re in the 70’s range, we have kiddos, grands and great grands, we didn’t want to disappoint. THX YOU, as they Loved it. Everything we needed was provided, and More! Some LOVED the Ping pong tournaments., others played cards, others tv, or on computers. ALL had access to entertainment .More important, our family was able to Laugh, hug, share stories, and have a Great time. What a RELIEF and THX You for the time of our life. So many memories were made there we call it our memory cabin. Thx you for your Kindness, and the use of your beautiful home. It was Perfect.

Mission Accomplished

Gramma, 3 grandsons and great aunt went to South Fork to cool off and decompress for a few days. Moose Creek provided every amenity and comfort that we required. The boys loved the upstairs games and activities and we all enjoyed the comfortable living area, kitchen, bedrooms and ample bathrooms. Everything was available that we possibly needed. I recommend Moose Creek to anyone who wants a cozy getaway.

Great location for OHV

My husband & I & our 2 fur babies stayed at the barn house for 5 nights. It was a great location for us to do the off road rides we had planned to do. The house was perfect for us. The only thing we missed was having a washer & dryer, but we made do. Otherwise could not have asked for more & hope to return soon.

Hunting vacation 2020

Great property. We went with family and friends for an elk hunting vacation and needed A place with a corral for the mules we brought. This place delivered! Had a great time. There was a snow storm that came in and the whole area was without electric. Would have liked to have had either a fireplace backup for heat or a generator for the house that could run the heating unit. Also, both bathrooms were inside bedrooms and it would have been nice to at least have a half bath open for use without having to go through a bedroom in the middle of the night. Overall, great experience and the property manager was very responsive and helpful, both before and during our trip.

Amazing property and view!

We loved the property and the view. The house was nice. We would have liked a portable/window fan. We stayed in summer months and it was hot. There is no A/C. The rooms have ceiling fans, but the main room fan is on same circuit as the lights, so when you turn the lights off at night, you lose the use of the fan. It was hot and stagnant. A window fan would have solved that problem and is easy to add to the property. Otherwise it was a great stay and we would definitely return!

OK Place to Stay

We enjoyed our time at this property overall. The location was good and the views were very nice. It was somewhat secluded and very quiet. All things we wanted. However, I probably would not stay here again with the family. There is not a convenient dining area for a group of more than 3-4. You have to take your food upstairs from the kitchen, which is somewhat inconvenient. There is a patio to eat outside with lovely views, but it would not be an option in rain or cold weather. Upstairs is more spacious, but there is still not a large table, other than a corner nook table, for a group to sit at. There is also no washer/dryer or dishwasher. The washer/dryer issue is no big thing for a short weekend, but a longer stay would be an issue. The lack of a dishwasher in the era of Covid-19 is an issue in my opinion. You are making the assumption that anyone who washed dishes prior to your stay did it well. The kitchen was poorly equipped if you want to cook for yourself. There was only one pot ... I don't mean to sound overly negative on this property. It's in a beautiful San Juan Mt. location, but there are some things that could be done that would really improve the property.

Beautiful Winter Mountain Mornings

We enjoyed our stay at King Ranch. Plenty of sleeping space for the 6 of us plus our dog. Extra blankets in the closet which we didn't need. Extra space heater for grandma to use. Note that the main living space is on the 2nd floor, with the kitchen and master suite on the first. Kitchen was great to make quick french toast before we headed to Wolf Creek. Previous guest left spices and other shelf-stable items for use. No sink disposal so gotta make sure you don't clog the drain. The automatic lights under the cabinets helped brighten the area. Two bathrooms worked great for our family to quickly take turns showering after skiing. Very scenic views and quiet property - located away from the main Southfork area. We joked with the kids that we were staying in a barn so they needed to bring sleeping bags! Just a few things that could be improved: washer/dryer would have been nice if we were staying longer that 3 nights, internet worked great in the living area/TV but it didn't connect with the 2 bedroom TVs (not that we had much time to watch TV), and for check out, we had to take our trash out to the realtor office to dump (just added extra 30 minutes to our drive back home).

Great property!

Secluded property, but close to town! This a perfect place to vacation and not be with all the other people! The pictures do not do it justice. Kitchen is small, but had everything we needed to cook in. Property is gated which was great since we had a truck and trailer full. Never had to unload. The only thing missing for us was a washer and dryer. There is a very nice laundromat in town. Darla was excellent! Would recommend this property!

Spacious yet cozy and warm!

Cozy and warm on a cold (-4 degree) winter's night! Plenty of room to spread out for all 6 kids (loved having upstairs entertainment for the kids with ping pong, fuse ball, and old school Nintendo!). We loved the central location in South Fork, minutes to groceries, gas and ski shops yet close enough to nature to see a beautiful 10 point buck walk by the window. We spent 3 days at Wolf Creek skiing (25 quick and scenic minutes away) and loved coming “home' to a very relaxing and very accommodating place. Kitchen had all we needed to prepare and serve meals and the washer and dryer were very handy options to have to wash and dry all the week's clothes. We'll be back!
