We had a great stay at the home. It was very close to the beach and it was also fun to stay on the canal. Had everything you needed. However, bring your beach chair. Only 1 was provided. Very clean and spacious. Loved the pool and Lanai. Walking distance to Publix and Junkanoo/Fresh Catch.
Minor problems with the pool and the hot tub Owner was in the process of fixing those And Service people were unable to repair it during our stay so they showed us how to manually override the system and everything turned out well.
We thoroughly enjoyed the home, pool, hot tub and setting. Easy proximity to beach and Publix. The back yard is tranquil and scenic… many birds to watch while sipping morning coffee or afternoon beverage. We recommend a daily stroll to the beach for sunset… quick walk straight across Estero Blvd. from Madera. Head south on the island for liquor store or other merchants. It’s a long jaunt to Times Square (our group did not want to try the trolley) but we were very happy in our mid-island location in this lovely home. We did not enjoy Bayfront Bistro.
Our family loved this home. Was an absolute perfect vacation. The only thing I would suggest is updating the description. Include the pool coverage, which bathrooms go with what bedrooms, include better layout description. Other than that...it was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
This property is mismanaged by the Coastal Beach Florida Vacation group. Communication was lacking to say the least. We were told we would receive check-in instructions and had to ask multiple times. Once we were able to access the property and settle into the house, we found multiple issues with this property.
1. Dirty carpets
2. Coffee grinds left in the coffee maker
3. Toaster oven was not clean
4. Stained and frayed towels
5. Kitchen sprayer broken
6. Shower door broken
7. Yellow stains on mattress pads and sheets were worn
8. Air vents were VERY dirty (dust build up)
9. Hole in the master bathroom linen closet that accessed owners closet
10. Hair in bathroom drawers
We reached out to Carolyn Sunday morning after reviewing all the issues with the property. My wife was calmly trying to speak with Carolyn about the issues and she became very defensive and rude. We explained that the house had not been properly disinfected or maintained, especially in times of Covid. Carolyn did offer to send someone out to clean the carpets, but did not explain it would be a dry clean. We kindly declined as we didn't want someone from the outside in our house due to Covid. She also said that the cleaning crew did not have time to wipe out drawers. My wife asked if there was someone else we could speak with regarding the property, Carolyn proceeded to hang up on my wife, "Saying I will get a co-worker to call you back". We later received a text from Carolyn saying hat Nicki would reach out via phone to us later that Sunday afternoon. 48 hours went by and we never received a call in that time. It was not until later that we emailed Nicki all the issues regarding the house. In addition to the issues we had earlier, we now had a safety concern when 2 men entered our pool area early one morning to work on the pool enclosure that was in the process of being prepped for inspection. This is a major concern having teenage girls in the house and the men did not ring the door bell or alert us that they were there working. With being inside the enclosure, the men had access to the sliding glass door to the house. Property mgt. group did not alert us of this issue. This is a complete disregard to safety and privacy of renters. Nicki responded that she sent us an email. We were not expecting an email, but rather a phone call as stated in a text from Carolyn. We are on vacation not checking emails. This house is dirty and not maintained.
4 kids-4 adults house has plenty of wide open space. Located a couple minute walk from Publix, the beach is literally right down the street and the canal is considered by the locals as one of the best for boating and walking. Enjoy a boardwalk around the canal, dock your boat or enjoy the beautiful pool and spa! Spoke with the owner personally to understand the pool/spa and he was immediately attentive and talked me through how they worked in tandem. Can’t say enough good things about this house other than to say we will be back by unanimous choice!
Two couples with three young kids loved this house. Two minute walk to the beach as well as screened in pool and hot tub were awesome perks. House design worked out well for the adults and kids. Appliances worked well, were quiet, cleaned efficiently etc. Property manager was in quick contact about minor items (borrowing baby gates, info on pool heater, etc.). There is a publix grocery store within walking distance too. Definitely recommend this house!

Home is poorly maintained but great location and views
This home is not regularly maintained or cleaned and should not be rented until these issues are corrected. Home was dirty on check in - trash (used tissue, seeds, candy wrappers) on floors in every room, hair on bathroom floors and in showers. Manager sent cleaning crew out about an hour later. Towels all had stains and hairs on them and some were actually shredding. Cleaners said that the extra linens in the closets are never washed, so we started running these in the washer. Washer spin cycle didn't work (everything came out soaking wet) and the machine made horribly loud noises. Manager said they were purchasing a new washer but it couldn't be delivered that week. Next we had to run the dryer 3 times to get anything dry. Before checking in, I messaged the owner/manager to confirm that pool would be ready at checkin. It was not. The pool manager was there and said he hadn't been informed anyone was checking in so pool was unusable for the first 24 hours. Next morning, laundry floor was flooded. We had to restrict our laundry for the week to only what was absolutely necessary, and only tiny loads at a time. Carolyn said the owners offered to pay for our laundry if we took it to the local laundromat (while on vacation? After paying thousands to stay here? During COVID?). The toilet in the jack and Jill was leaking. Manager sent plumber out who changed the wax seal, but the toilet continued to leak the entire stay. The grout around that toilet is filthy and clearly indicates that the leak has been ongoing for longterm. Owners and management must have known. The roof in the twin beds room has water damage stains (leaking roof?) and there are drywall repair patches on the walls that haven't been finished or painted over. Carolyn said that she's been trying to get the owners to do repairs but because the house is always rented so they can't. Solution = stop renting this home and repair it. Overall, this home is in very poor condition and has many long term maintenance issues that were not disclosed to us before we rented and I'd bet it's against vrbo terms of service to rent a home in such condition. The layout of the home and the location are fabulous and the views over the canal and pool are superb, but having to deal with all these maintenance issues, not being able to properly do laundry, or to be stepping in toilet water in the bathroom... Not fun.
Good location, easy walk to the Beach. The great room with the big doors that opened to the deck was our favorite, ate most of our meals on the deck overlooking the pool and water!
