Gîte Romantique - Charming house 4 km from the sea

Looking for a romantic get-away in the beautiful Cotentin area?

Come and share memorable moments in this romantic gîte, a 25 square metreself catering holiday home on the edge of a mill stream.

Located 4km from the beaches of Barneville-Carteret and 30 minutes from Cherbourg, ideal for exploring the Cotentin area.

Our gîte (cottage) is composed of
a kitchen/dining space
a sleeping space with a double bed (140x190 cm) and storage
a bathroom
a terrace with private access to the mill stream

You can expect a warm welcome at this functional accommodation, located in a charming, peaceful environment.

Perfect for a couple wishing to discover (explore) the Contentin area.

Heating surcharge from October to March (23 centimes per kilowatt).


An electricity package of 8 kWh and 1/4 m3 of water is included/day (for stays of less than 7 days).
Beyond that, billing based on meter reading (electricity: 1 kwh = €0.30, water: 1 m3 = €5).
For weekly stays, a meter reading will be taken at the start and end of the stay and then re-invoiced to the tenant. This is to protect our beautiful planet.

During your stay you will find many things to visit and discover: the Carteret lighthouse, the garden of the host of the television gardening programme “Silence çapousse” (StéphaneMarie,thecoastal footpaths,(GR34), historically used by Customs Officers, the Vauvillepond,the City of the Sea,the World War II D-Day landing beaches,SaintVaast la Hougue…and of course our beautiful sandy or pebble beaches

Suitable for young children under parental supervision.

Enchantés du séjour

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la chaleur de l’accueil d’Helene et Laurent , le calme et l’aménagement du gîte petit mais dans un cadre enchanteur, ce petit coin de Normandie sauvage et pittoresque , nous y reviendrons un jour au printemps….

Romantisches Häuschen in der Normandie

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die kleine Gîtes war hübsch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es gab sogar Spiele und ein paar Bücher, sogar auf deutsch. Auch unsere kleine Hündin hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Gastgeber waren hilfsbereit und sehr aufgeschlossen. Ein kleines Highlight war das Frühstück jeden Morgen, dass von Helène gebracht wurde. Wir würden jeder Zeit wiederkommen.

Herrliche Tage in der Gite Romantique

Wir haben uns in der bezaubernden Gite Romantique rundum wohl gefühlt. Die herrliche, ruhige Lage und der fantastische Blick ins Grüne hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich, herzlichen und hilfsbereit. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen!

Gîtes très bien placé très calme avec tout ce qu’il faut Hélène à tout prévu pour c ’est hôtes et en plus très gentille et très à l’écoute .Gîte très sympa très très propre avec un super matelas et surtout une superbe vue sur la verdure. Je recommande ce gîte aller y vous me serez pas déçu ma note est de10 sur 10. Aller réserver des maintenant Hélène ce sera ravie de vous accueillir et en plus ils y a de belles choses à voir et à faire dans la région.
