Cabin was great, awesome view. We stayed there for a month while working in Gainesville and had no issues with the rental property what so ever. Would bring my family here for a stay any time.
drove up from Florida, had friends and family coming from NC and SC got to property on Aug 3 for check-in only to discover it was not available. The property manager's son has been living there for 2 months and no one contacted me about it when they sent check in instructions on July 31. VRBO set us up at a hotel for two nights but when the instructions got to my phone it was for Aug. 4 and 5 in lieu of Aug 3 and 4. I had to pay for Aug. 3 myself for 3 rooms at the hotel. Just be aware that VRBO will not find you another place you have to do that yourself.
When we got there. The beds were not made. Used towels in the the shower and my son found a large garden snake in the crawl space. He is a exterminator so he inspects the house we stay in. He found mouse dropping also. We had a good weekend, but could have been better.
The cabin was fine, clean and neat inside with all the amenities you would want. The only improvement I would recommend is cleaning up the back deck. With a nice deck area the property would be outstanding. Enjoyed our Stay.

Nice view of the lake.
We wanted something close to local attractions and a view of the water. Private, quiet and cozy.
This property is not super clean as described. There was dust on most surfaces, fire place full of ashes. Very dark because most of the lights were not working. This property is extremely cluttered with owners possessions, books and nick-knacks everywhere . The driveway is extremely steep and the property is located near power lines. There are extension cords laying in the floors of all the rooms. The toaster does not work. The master bedroom shade will not close completely. The television in the master bedroom does not work. The owner was not very responsive when trying to communicate.
Quiet retreat in lovely wooded area
Enjoyed the peaceful easy feeling

Super Clean?
The property was clean enough and definitely had a great lake house vibe. There was room for improvement as multiple light bulbs were burnt out and the grass they encouraged us to park on was pretty overgrown. More than anything, I was made to feel like I was putting the host out when I requested that the lighting be addressed as neither of the overhead fixtures in the living area were working. We ended up just stealing working light bulbs from a couple lamps and fixing one of the fixtures in order to get by.
We loved our stay at this cabin! Wonderful deck to view the lake, sunsets, and to grill and eat al fresco! Cabin was well stocked, cozy and had great walking trails on property with beautiful lake views!

Super Nice Owner - however
The lake house part was good and the Owner was nice, however it does not accommodate 6 - only 4 at best can sit to eat dinner inside, so if it’s raining you are taking shifts to eat. The next door neighbor decided to work on home projects at dinner so we were yelling at each other to talk and the driveway was blocked when we went to leave. It’s rustic and needs a deep cleaning cobwebs in every corner. When I let the Owner know there was no propane to grill as we started to cook, I got no response. If you are paying $120 a night total it’s worth it!
What a great property. Especially for the bass anglers who are planning a tournament out of Laurel Park. Only 15 minutes from launch ramp. Tight parking, but you are able to back your boat and truck down to house. A very well prepared house. Neat, good condition, 5 stars all the way.
Very quaint Mountain to Lake atmosphere! Very relaxing pace to stay per friends feedback!
Thank You Sheila!

What makes this property unique
The cabin is right on the Lake on a point, has great views from every room. Sit on the deck and watch awesome sunsets, and Blue Heron and Eagles fly by fishing. Boat Rowers are out rowing and easy to put your kayak in the Lake on the other side of the point. Also small place to swim its corp property and public. Lots to do there within driving distance. Rent boats, go dig for gold, wineries, hiking, visit the North Georgia Mountains, public parks, big pool and children's water park very close. Lake Lanier islands close by lots of fun there. Great places to eat and chill for an evening of fun. or stay home and grill out 2 type grills there.
