About this property

*DISCOUNTED RATES* KABINO: Lindas Perch On Bank of Henrys Fork Mtn Views Fishing 6+ acres WIFI

"Lindas Perch" sits high atop a bank overlooking Henrys Fork. Spectacular views include the Grand Tetons, local Golden Eagles and Peregrine falcons fishing the abundant waters.

Once a year there is a cherished event in the area. The Stonefly makes it's annual appearance and the trout go crazy! Locals have enjoyed this phenomenon for years, now you can be part of it at our newest property in Ashton Idaho. This secluded property on almost 6.5 acres is worth the extra effort to access. Local services include boat rentals, guide service, and float trips on the Snake River and adjoining Henry's Fork!

This is a truly "World Class" fishing environment but don't disregard the birding, hiking, sightseeing, and close proximity to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons. Snake River provides early season fishing due to its natural warm springs that bring it alive way ahead of neighboring waters. While you're at it, plan a day to tour the Upper and Lower Mesa Falls, or take a hike up to the headwaters of the Snake River and enjoy the natural hot springs. Lodge provides a uniquely different location, spectacular views, secluded setting yet close to all services and local amenities.

PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON CHILDREN, AS THIS IS ON A CLIFFSIDE. SEE PICTURES FOR FURTHER CLARITY.

RIVER ACCESS:
There is a boat launch before you turn onto Fishermans Drive from the Highway. If you take a right off of the Highway onto Fishermans Drive on your way to the cabin, there are a couple of public, wide open spots for fishing, floating, etc. If you go past the cabin and continue on Fishermans Drive, you will drive down a steep hill and continue along the river to another boat launch.

Perfect vacation spot

That title came from our 8 year old grandson. But all 7 of us thought that way. We live in a 150 year old farm house in Missouri with animals all around us. We felt like we were in our homestead. But with a much different landscape. The view can not be matched anywhere. We saw moose and many bald eagles. The boys caught an abundance of fish and the girls got their horse rides in. Your library seemed to be hand picked for us. The scope gave us so much fun. We watched the bald eagle catch fish and then take a bath. As matriarch of the family I loved your decor and the warm feeling my little group got the moment we walked through the door. We’ve stayed in many homes for family vacations but Linda’s perch was best.

Beautiful cabin!

Wow! What a view! Such a cute cabin with everything you would need. A friend and I came and stayed here after a backpacking trip. I give this place 5 stars BUT there were SO many bugs. Mostly stink bugs and black flies. Came home to about 15 bugs flying around my room. The other thing is, just be prepared to buy firewood and make a fire to keep the house warm as there is no heat downstairs. This all being said, I just want my review to be fair to other people who are bothered by those kinds of things. We had a fantastic time and the cabin was cozy and comfortable.

As Advertised

Perfect getaway break from Teton and Yellowstone park days. Secluded, 365 degree views, wildlife, well supplied cabin. If you need a quiet break and enjoy natural surroundings this is the place. Pictures in ad are true. Make sure to get groceries before hitting cabin, Ashton a very small but friendly town. Also recommend taking Fisherman Dr all the way along the river, it connects back up to Hwy 47. Enjoy, hit both Mesa Falls on 47 too. I'll be your Huckleberry.

Relaxing getaway

The cabin and location was just described in the listing. The view is like no other. My husband and I felt instantly relaxed and at home the moment we arrived. It was the perfect place for peace and solitude to recharge and spend time together. We barely left the cabin other than to do some local fishing. We are already talking about coming back next year. The hosts were great! Informative and very quick in responding. Great place!

Amazing views from Linda’s Perch

Linda’s Perch was an amazing rustic cabin with views of the river and Tetons. We got some amazing pictures from the sunrises and sunsets. We managed the temperature inside by opening windows at night and closing the house up during the day. There were some nice breezes flowing through. The amenities were as described. It’s a little ways from Yellowstone, but we thought it was worth the drive.

Amazing Views

Our family of 4 from Daytona Beach, Florida thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Linda’s Perch in June of 2023! The cabin itself was quaint and well-appointed with amazing views as far as the eye can see. We were lucky enough to see a double rainbow from end to end with the Tetons in the background. An easy 1 hour drive to the West Entrance of Yellowstone made the location of the cabin ideal. A 30 minute drive to Mesa Falls is well worth the drive with Mesa Falls being one of the most beautiful things we feasted our eyes on… it’s absolutely breathtaking! We highly recommend Linda’s Perch to anyone looking for a little slice of heaven and some real peace and quiet!

Location was exactly what we were looking for, unique and lovely

Great location, on a clear day a dawn view of the mountains was inspiring. Only complaint is the property was a slight bit buggy on the inside…. More than I expected and I live in Florida…. A few killed bugs and it was perfect

Nice little cabin

I really enjoyed the stay at the place. Many good things to say and only few items for the property manager to improve. 1. There are in total 3 locks in the whole cabin. No locks and ventilation in the bathrooms. 2. The place itself is nice but is far away from Grand Teton and Yellowstone. 3. There are lot of spices left in the kitchen from the previous groups…if you need more there is a Walmart within 20 min drive. 4. The sleeping arrangements are as shown. And the beds might be difficult for taller persons. 5. The entry way can play tricks on you in google map. Make sure to check out google earth layout of the “road”.

Perfect location for our friends wedding

The property was 3 miles from our friends wedding venue/house so location was perfect for us! There were quite a few fdead stink bugs around and SO many alive ones but otherwise the property was perfect. The outdoor space with the river was so calming and beautiful to look out at!

Unique Experience

The property is very unique. That paired with the views make for a very different experience. Amazing river views where you can sit and watch wildlife go by. Not sure if it is common or we just got lucky, but we enjoyed watching nightly lightning storms roll across the Tetons.

Beautiful location convenient to Yellowstone

Our stay at Linda's Perch was perfect for our trip to Yellowstone National Park in late July. The house was exactly as described and the views of the Snake River and Teton Range are even better than in the pictures. We really enjoyed relaxing and eating dinner on the porches after long days exploring. The West Yellowstone entrance is about an hour away so we had plenty of time to enjoy the park and make it back before sunset in the evening. The home was well equipped and had everything we needed for several nights. Highly recommend!

A great getaway

Our family enjoyed this centrally located cabin! It was close to Yellowstone, and all the activities we enjoyed in the area. The views and remoteness of the cabin were picture perfect. It did get warm in the cabin my afternoon and cooled by late evening but it is August and fans helped upstairs. We enjoyed the river during our stay. The management company was easy to work with.

Perfect stay

This property is perfect if you want to visit both Yellowstone and Grand Teton national park. Peaceful location with dark skies and panoramic views. You can leave the door open upstairs and hear the sound of the river. The house was clean and well-decorated, and all the necessary amenities were available. They had a full stock of pots, pans, utensils, and even spices and condiments, and we were able to prepare meals without any problems every night. The check-in and out process was easy, and the communication with the property manager was smooth. We highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay perfect mixture of rustic meets modern. We went early in June so even though it was hot it was still cool in the nights and we had a wonderful woodfire to relax while cooking dinner. One of our best trips thanks

Privacy with a view

The view on this home was amazing. I could have sat on the balcony all day listening to the river. The fall colors were spectacular when we were there too. The location was private but not too far from town. I loved the decor of this home. It was so homey feeling and there were so many little touches that made it super cute. We were here for a quick trip so I am sad we didn't get to spend more time here!

Marathon Weekend

The views from the house are spectacular. We also had the delight of seeing a bear and several birds of prey from the porch. Location of house was perfect for our needs of running the Mesa Falls Marathon and fly fishing. The house is more run down than the online pictures depict. For example, the double bed was on the floor when we arrived with no bed frame. Another issue we experienced was that all of the towels folded in the linen closet were extremely damp-seems they weren’t dried enough from previous renters. We did make the property management aware of the issues. Overall, the house was generally clean and we had a wonderful stay.

Amazing location

We absolutely loved the cabin and the view. The cabin had everything we needed and the lack of air conditioning didn't matter with the constant breeze. There were many fly fishing locations in beautiful rivers around, but there is not access from the cabin (which is on a cliff). There were more hummingbirds feeding on the back porch than I had ever seen at one time. We would recommend it to anyone who asks!
