Four ceiling fans, including one in each bedroom, will ensure everyone will stay cool. Enjoy some tunes on the stereo whenever you want! This condo also has a private washer/dryer to help with the daily wash. When it's time to venture out, you can cook something delicious on the shared charcoal grill or head out directly to the shared pool. The beach is never far away!

In addition to the beach steps away from the condo's building, Spyglass Public Beach access and Butler Beach are each under four miles away down A1A. Historic downtown St. Augustine, including the beautiful Castillo de San Marcos, is less than 12 miles away from this home. Just under 11 miles away, guests can take in every species of alligator and crocodile - in addition to many more animals - at the Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Enjoy some unique Florida history and demonstrations at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, 13 miles away.

Location but

The location was great. Dated but clean, mattresses need a upgrade, all the glass tables worried me with small kids. I always go through and check for any low cleaning products that mine could get into. If you have small kids definitely do this here. They was in every room with a cabinet. Master bathtub didn't work. Showers are camper size small. Other than that we had a great stay.

Beautiful beach, that's why the 3 stars

Beautiful beach! Peaceful and clean beach. Condo is in need of some work. Has gone down hill since we stayed last year and rates have skyrocketed. Condo is roomy, homey, great water pressure, we liked the toaster oven. Other areas are rough. Hard king bed...very very hard. Few holes in walls. Living room furniture is comfy and not dirty. All tile on floors and bathrooms is old, but at least theres no carpet! Honestly the absolute best thing about this Condo is the beach and views! That's what you're money is buying

September in St Augustine

We have stayed at the Windjammer 4 of the last 5 times we have visited St Augustine and we love this complex. However, the unit we stayed in needed some real TLC. It is what I would call a "diamond in the rough". Wonderful location, beautiful views of the beach and the intercostal, great beach. But it was in need of repairs AND the beds were terrible. The master bed was un-sleepable. My husband was able to sleep okay in one of the guest beds. I I spent the first two nights going between the recliner and the sofa and then was able to make a mattress pad of two comforters in order to get some sleep in a bed. There were areas in the condo which needed repairs and some basics in the kitchen were missing. But we still enjoyed our vacation and we made the best of our time there. I would hope that the owners would work to make some updates and repairs so that this place could achieve great status. We would definitely return to the Windjammer, but would need some assurances that this unit was cared for better, in order stay in it again.

Property as listed

Checking in and out was easy with text messages/email. Unit was very clean. Master bed mattress is on the harder side but that’s preference only. Patio doors off master allow one to lay in bed and watch the sunrise!

Sunrises and Sunsets

Loved the grocery carts. Top floor view was great. Used the on-site car wash station. Key code entries everywhere helped in feeling secure. Used the fishing dock and caught many fish. Pool was not heated. Shower was phone booth size. Road speed limit was 55 - hard to walk down sidewalk and feel safe. Loved the sunrise from balcony and sunsets from fishing dock. A quiet, out of the way getaway.

Please Read

The room was great and the view was even better. But my 70+ year old parents came with me and the elevator went out at the beginning of the week and was never repaired. They struggled every day to go up and down the stairs. They wanted to go walk on the beach the last day but didn’t want to go down the stairs. Like I said the room was great but the experience was not nearly as great due to the maintenance of the facility.

Absolutely PERFECT!

This is our first trip to Windjammer and will definitely go back next year. From the .moment we made reservations, Vacasa kept us informed. When we arrived on a Saturday we didn't know how to get a parking pass for the covered parking area because the parking office was c!osed. Vacasa told us it was fine after they found out. They texted us to see if the condo was clean and it was. The condo is very roomy and we loved the firm mattress. The kitchen was VERY well stocked which was perfect because we eat in most days (big pot for low country boil, stir fry pan, etc) with more than enough utensils. There were chairs and beach equipment provided. The dishwasher was so quiet I wondered if it was working!! It was!!! All furniture was comfy, the TVS large and modern. The balcony. I wish I could describe the beautiful view. I spent lots of time stargazing with my Binoculars, viewing gorgeous sunrises every morning and just listening to the ocean. The balcony is large with views from living room and bedroom. We took our chairs to the walkway outside our front door to watch the sunset over the Inter coastal waterway each evening. We met new friends doing the same thing from the condo next door! If there was anything I wish was different..... The steps going down to the beach. I have extremely bad knees and have trouble with steps. BUT, the boardwalk was mostly step-free except for the10 steps . The covered parking was such a nice perk. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Vacasa, for being prompt, courteous and efficient.

Crescent Beach Disappointment

We rented this condo, a year in advance, for 4 weeks in February. We looked forward to a relaxing time sitting on our deck overlooking the ocean. We weren’t informed that they would be painting the outside of the complex while we were there. This involved moving our furniture and covering our deck railings with heavy duty plastic and obstructing our view for the last 2 weeks we were there. They also ran jackhammers every week day from7:45 am - 4:45pm. The noise was so loud we could hear it with the doors closed. We had to leave every day just to get away from it. I called repeatedly to speak to someone to get some realistic compensation for our problem. We finally talked to someone as we were driving home who was able to help. If we had been notified before we came about this problem, we would have gone elsewhere. We paid more for an ocean front condo and didn’t get it for 2 weeks. The TV didn’t work the first 3 days we were there. The man was very nice who came to fix it. We won’t be back.

Location, Clean, View and Value - Needs TLC

We chose this property for its location, view, size and value and we were not disappointed. It was also very clean and fresh when we arrived. However I’m not able to rate it a 5 as it is needs a security issue repaired and a little TLC. The bedroom slider door lock does not work and while this was reported to Vacasa in earlier reviews, it is still not repaired. During our stay we learned that there is 3 months of restoration work being done on the building with contractors accessing lanais to perform spaulding and painting work. Scaffolding was on the lanai side of the building so we found a broomstick pole and placed it in the tracked of the bedroom door slider as we were not around much during the day. The master bath sink has a missing drain stopper putting you ask risk for losing something down the drain, and the screen door at the entrance needs repair so it closes. Overall the condo was spacious and comfortable and everything we expected and the sunsets behind the condo were a nice surprise in addition to the starter packs of soaps, shampoo, and kitchen cleaning items provided. It just lacks a property manager/owner that cares. I would stay again and recommend this property.

Great beach

Check in was easy. The condo met our needs, and was very clean. A bit dated, but we knew that from the pictures. The jacuzzi tub does not work. We knew that from the reviews, but we’re hoping it would now for our 5 yr old. The kitchen could be better stocked. We were a party of five, (my husband, four of our kids, and me). We had to hand wash utensils in order to have enough for breakfast and lunch. We ate most dinners out. The beaches were great. Not crowded at all. I didn’t know that people were allowed to drive on the beaches until we got there, but it didn’t cause any problems. The property management company was very good at communicating until right after check in. However, i did inform them that there we’re broken blinds upon our arrival. The blinds to the sliding glass doors have a note taped to the wall right next to them. It says that if you break the blinds you are responsible to pay for fixing them. There are also notes posted in the elevator that ALL lights must be off or not visible from the beach from May-October due to sea turtles. You can be fined $500 for any violation. The management company texted me to see how clean things were and I brought the broken blinds to their attention. I also let them know that the master bedroom sliding glass door has a broken lock and no way to lock it. Its a long shot that someone would scale the balcony and break in, but the door should be able to lock (even with a broom handle). The good news is that you can not lock yourself on the balcony, but I digress. They said that they would send someone out. They never did. Luckily we found replacement blinds in the guest room closet. I guess they break often because we also found a ton of broken blinds in the closet too. Beware of the blinds. The management company started again with lots of texts and emails after we left. I get it, they want reviews, but it was a bit much. I am actually grateful that someone didn’t come in to the condo during our stay, but i would feel a lot differently if we had gotten fined for visible lights after dark.

Fabulous Stay!

My mother, myself, and my 9 month old daughter stayed here for a week for our Fall Break trip. It was FABULOUS! The beach is super close. (short walk on the boardwalk) There was a ramp, which was nice because we had a bunch to carry up and down- but there are about 5 or 6 steps once you actually get down to the beach. The condo was huge! The couches were comfy, the recliner was perfect, and the TV had Roku. The view of the ocean was wonderful and could be seen throughout the majority of the condo. The main bedroom was lovely to sleep in and wake up to the sunrise over the ocean. The jacuzzi tub was fun for my daughter to play and splash in. The kitchen had everything we needed, pots, pans, etc. The outdoor pool was a nice bonus too!! We will definitely remember the Windjammer for our next stay!

First Time at Crescent Beach

The views of the ocean and beach were wonderful. The condo is a little dated, but it was comfortable, especially the beds. There are too many mirrors for my taste, and the tub in the bedroom is certainly not needed, I would love to stay here again because of the beach access, the view, cleanliness, and the location,

Ideal location, nice amenities,

BEACH The beach was great. The sand was clean. The water was the perfect temperature. It was not crowded on the beach at all in front of the Windjammer. The weather was on our side for all days of our trip… sun, breeze and the occasional afternoon storm made it very enjoyable. LOCATION The surrounding restaurants were fantastic and the wait times were not outrageous. The drive into St. Augustine or Palm Coast was very quick, although there were plenty of supermarkets nearby if we needed anything. The location of the condo was ideal. We were on the top floor of the Windjammer so the view was the best. CONDO The condo was well equipped for us - all the towels, linens, even down to a small supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, dish washing pods, dish washing soap, shampoo, conditioner and bars of soap were provided. The TVs worked very well and had many channels. The pool was also very nice. However, inside the condo there were a few things that were wearing out or broken - most notably was the tub :(. Also the hot water did not feed the washing machine to wash the clothes, and there were other minor things that were broken (no need to make a list here). We reached out to the person listed on the back of the door who was responsible for the maintenance and repairs when the water and internet were shut off for the morning - unfortunately there was no answer or acknowledgment. Also upon arrival it was posted that a parking permit was required to park in the lot, but this was not provided upon arrival and left a very uneasy feeling until we had to retrieve it ourselves on Monday morning. The attendant on site who would grant us the parking permit did not represent the host or VRBO and had a rather cold disposition toward us. We also reached out to the host to ask about the parking permit since there was no other information for us and the representative either hung up on me or lost connection. Admittedly it was not easy to reach people for assistance during this trip, but the positive was that we could completely check in and out on our own. Overall our experience was really nice and relaxing. We would be comfortable staying in this condo again in the future.
