Beautiful newly renovated home located 10 minutes from Cruz Bay. Enjoy your vacation in this fantastic retreat. Banana Tree Villa is a private home located in the quiet Gifft Hill neighborhood. This villa is 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with a lush tropical garden view. Perfect for the family get-a-way! Sleeps 4.

Gas grill on downstairs deck! Perfect for an evening under the stars!

Owner lives upstairs. Downstairs villa has a private entrance and plenty of flat parking out front.

If shopping and dining are on your "todo" list for this vacation you will find Banana Tree located a short 10 minute drive to the shops and restaurants of Wharfside village and 15 minutes to Mongoose Junction where you are sure to find the perfect souvenir to remind you of this awesome island.

Hiking trails and beaches of the National Park are large draw to the island for many of the frequent visitors of St. John and there are several trails that begin just a 15 minute drive from the property.

Southbound

Stay here, bring a speaker, backpack cooler, make some ice at the villa, fill up the cooler, bring some koozies and enjoy some drinks on any beach you want! We’re not picky, loved the stay and the adventure getting to and from the house each day even if it’s a little rough on the edges getting there. A good memory to make!

Bananariffic!

We really enjoyed our stay! The villa has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and great spaces to relax after a day exploring the beaches and trails of St John. It is in a great location for accessing both sides of the island.

St John Getaway

The Queen and I spent a great weekend at Banana Tree Villa. Very clean with excellent amenities and full kitchen, air conditioning. Host was waiting for us to arrive and briefed us on the house and the island.

Disappointed w/property and listing

The drive to the property is thru abandon cars, garbage, pot holes and leeking batteries. The property is a downstairs apartment under a rental unit (approx.20 steps). There is no view of the water. The outdoor cushions were stained/moldy and the fridge, cupboards and freezer were full of old food, little room for ours. Ice maker was in the cloths cupboard which we found cleaned and setup. A little more attention to detail and this would have been a much better experience. The floors and finishings are nice. Frogs and hummingbirds were a plus. Nothing can be done about the access Im afraid, shame.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay! Host was great and even took time out of her day to help surprise our kids for Easter! Place was exactly as advertised and we will definitely go back to stay again!

2024 St John

List:No view, no washer nor dryer very humid, driveway unusable -pictures are inaccurate. Beach and bath towels are very musky - bring your own. Towels dingy color. No dishwasher either. There are nice things but not enough to come again. I do not like pellet grill. I’m used to and partial to gas. This is a place for someone to live in not a vacation rental. Had to ask for items….better to stay at Cinnamon Bay than pay high fee here.

Beautiful home!

We really enjoyed the home. It has all the modern things you might like to make it easy when you come home from the beach. The neighborhood is a bit run down but the house is amazing!

Great Stay

Everything went very smoothly. The on island contact met us at our jeep rental office and escorted us to the property. She was friendly and showed us everything we needed to know before leaving. Property was beautiful, well appointed, and well maintained. We were very comfortable there and would not hesitate to stay again!

Great Stay

Everything you need is at this beautiful home with a beautiful view! The details and furnishings of this home makes for a cozy, comfortable stay and you will find it hard to leave! Shelli was so nice to deal with to help with anything we needed. The drive around St John is difficult and it isn’t easy to get to the home but it’s not unusual for the island in general. The view from the porch is beautiful so it’s worth the upward trek to the top. Just make sure you rent a Jeep or SUV to help with the bumpy roads. Overall wonderful stay!!

Perfection at it’s best!

We had a marvelous time at our stay at the banana tree Villa! They had everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation! The view is fantastic from upon the Mountain top. You are only 15 minutes from Cruz Bay downtown and if you rent a car you can get to all the beaches within 30 minutes. Truly perfect! We’ll be back!!!!

Island vibes

Summed up in 2 words... No Worries! From beginning to end everything was taken care of every question was answered. We were picked up at Cruz Bay ferry landing & swept away to our rental jeep & then off to Banana Tree. Great location secluded but yet close to downtown Cruz Bay. Successful mother/daughter trip

The home and property are well kept and offer everything needed for a day at the beach, including beach chairs, beach towels, noodles and cooler. The home is charming and ( I assume) updated. We only rented the upstairs so I can only speak about the main floor, but imagine the lower floor is just nice and as accurate as the pictures. I would definitely recommend Banana Tree Villa to family & friends.

Perfect home for having fun and comfort!

This was my first time visiting the USVI and I am so glad we stayed at Shelli's place! It had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning. The property manager was incredibly understanding and nice about our change in arrival time as our flight was changed and we missed the ferry we planned to catch. The home and its views are incredible. We were so sad we had to go home!

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful stay in this amazing villa. The view was incredible, the house is very beautiful and functional, the kitchen is big and breakfasts on the porch are one of our best memories! We would love to come back here one day.

Hidden Retreat

We loved the house. Its even better than what the photos show. It's a little off the beaten path but only about 10 minutes from Cruz Bay. It beautifully decorated and the kitchen is amazingly well stocked. We made the mistake of trying to follow the gps instead of the directions given to us. Our mistake. My only suggestion would be to add some weather stripping on doors that don't quite meet, and to add some type of fans on the deck. We would highly recommend this property and can't wait to come back.

Beautiful View - Great Accomodations

We could not have dreamed of any place more perfect than Banana Tree Villa to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a party of 8 and were very comfortable with ample space. The owners did not miss a single detail! The villa came equipped with everything we could have ever needed and the furnishings and decor were superb....perfect for an island adventure.

Beautiful house and property on St John

This house is well maintained and nicely furnished. The couches and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed using the well stocked kitchens and the grill. The upper deck has 2 hammocks with a lovely view of Cruz bay harbor and we saw quite a few fabulous sunsets. Beach chairs and a shade tent were provided for use as well as a jeep! Plenty of hot water . Ac available in all the rooms with ceiling fans for comfort. Kelly, the property manager, was very helpful and attentive. During your stay I recommend using St. John Market for groceries. Take a day to see the sea turtles at Maho Bay too. I would definitely return to this house.
