This cabin was clean, well stocked with all the necessities and more. It was quiet and peaceful. But most of all it was magical. I will definitely be back.
The cabin was exactly as described. We enjoyed our stay very much. We arrived on Monday and didn’t leave the property until Friday morning to go home. It was so cozy and comfortable we didn’t want to leave. The fire place inside was super!! We enjoyed a fire inside every day. The last day & evening the weather was so cold we had sleet so the fire place was well used that day especially. We also enjoyed the outside fire pit one day but the winds came up and we couldn’t use it for the last two days. The lake was beautiful. We enjoyed fishing and feeding the fish. Great memories. Thank you
Everything you need was there. Cabin was clean, rustic, and quant. Being close to the water was wonderful and the Canadian Geese were a treat to see. A bit outdated. Overall stay was pleasant and relaxing.
With our second visit to Lucky Lake, this has quickly become our favorite place! The peace & quiet of this little side of the mountain is exactly what my husband and I needed. The cabin is very well stocked. Dana is a wonderful host and a pleasure to communicate with.
Arrived a few days after Christmas and stayed 4 nights. Had a wonderful time, enjoyed the hot tub and the quietness of the area and the seclusion. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay there again.
This cabin was great! The owner was very easy to work with. We appreciated the directions that he gave on getting through the mountain roads. The lake was gorgeous. We saw deer every day that we were there. The cabin was clean and had everything that we needed.
We have stayed at Lucky Lake many times over the years, and we are never disappointed. The cabin is clean, cozy and well stocked with all the necessities. The lake is peaceful and has an abundance of wildlife. We always enjoy watching the deer and the many varieties of birds. I cannot wait to return!
My friend from high school and i had a great weekend trip to the mountains of GA. We did the rail bike ride in Blue Ridge, plenty of shopping, great food and excellent coffee at the coffee shop. We also explored Helen GA and Ellijay GA. The mountains are beautiful this time of year. Will definitely go back....
The Lucky Lake cabin is a beautiful place to get away from it all and enjoy some peace. Beautiful views from the cabin onto the lake & cabin is surrounded by trees. The bedrooms are spacious, beds comfy, and the cabin was immaculately clean. About a 20 minute drive to Ellijay and Blue Ridge. If you want to be in the heart of the mountains this is it. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.
Our stay was everything we expected and then some. The cabin was great and the view of the pond also was. The cabin was equipped everything you would need during your stay. We enjoyed the whole experience!!
The property was as described in the listing. The owner was easy to contact and sends a packet with precise instructions and information for your stay. The cabin was clean, and the area was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed fishing in the lake. The cabin is well equipped with games, puzzles, and a DVD selection. The roads are a little sketchy to get there, but we are used to mountain roads, so it wasn’t a big deal. We saw deer, fish, turtles, and more. We felt relaxed and rejuvenated. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
It is certainly in the mountains! Roads to access were not very wide but ok once you got used to them. Covered porch with the pond view was great for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. Outdoor grill needed cleaning so we chose not to use it. The cabin was very comfortable, kitchen well stocked with kitchenware but there should be place mats for the kitchen table so the table doesn't get damaged. The master bed was very comfortable and the hot-tub right outside of the master was very relaxing. Overall a very nice place to stay.
I told my husband to pack his bags, that’s all. I had planned everything and the cabin did not disappoint. So peaceful and serene. The deer visited us on a daily basis, bucks and does with their fawns. The cabin was well appointed and maintained. My only suggestion would be more light in the kitchen area.
Overall i would 100% go back .Cabin was nice and location even better .The lake next to it adds to the magic of being in the woods .
We had a very small housekeeping issue, but the owner was quick to respond and cared .
The year was 1998. As I aimlessly looked around my childhood home in Woodstock, I was blissfully unaware that later that summer, the Dow Industrial average would plummet 512 points. It would be the second-worst point loss in history. Radios blasted Celine Dion's "My Heart Would Go On", which no doubt encouraged the souls that lost so much money. Little did Celine know, her song would not only top the charts, but possibly provide an inspiring message to Wall Street. Those two phenomena, though coincidentally complimentary, were unrelated. Her song owed much of its success to last December, when Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet captured the hearts of Americans in James Cameron's "Titanic", leading us to forever ask the question "Could they both have fit?" The answer is absolutely not. Did the Titanic really sink though? Or was the movie based on a conspiracy involving a billionaire's tomfoolery? The world may never know. I was a boy at the time, unable to comprehend these things nor predict that in a few years, the world would go insane over the clocks ticking into a new millennium. We all survived, thank goodness, because if we didn't, we never would have been able to stay here 14 years later. It has been a magical, peaceful place where we were briefly free from the cries of our newborn. We missed her so, but enjoyed an escape together. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us. The time has come to march back into the fray, at the mercy of our little sweet angel baby. Pray for us.
We had an amazing time here! There was even a deer laying under a tree for us when we arrived!
The property feels far away from people but close enough to be able to run to the store or to go do activities. To be honest we just stayed in the whole weekend but we loved playing games and watching movies. We appreciated that there was plenty of essentials available (dish soap, hand soap, paper towels) and even more than one roll of toilet paper. It’s definitely an interesting (rugged) ride to get to the property so I would be prepared for that but really it’s fine if you know it’s coming. We appreciated all the directions from how to get in to what to do when we left.
Also watch out for the geese family! We did not feed them but as soon as they heard a chip bag crinkle they came running!!! It was quite entertaining.
Highly recommend staying here
