Beautiful Apartment
I loved my stay here. This is a beautiful apartment. Very modern looking, and modern appliances. Very well stocked with plates, cups, silverware and pots and pans, etc. I loved the set-up in the apartment. I used the desk a lot. It was great to have a private gated parking lot, with a remote control for the gate, that I loved.
Carentan is a great town, and the apartment is in a great spot within the town, withing walking distance of restaurants, the town square, the train station. I chose Carentan because of my interest in D-Day and the subsequent battles, and Carentan is a great location as a home base to see these spots. On my way back from the restaurant down the street, I noticed a plaque on a building that said it was the headquarters of the 101st airborne for a time.
My hostess was very kind and helpful. She did not speak English very well (but better than I spoke French!), but did a good job of helping me with the apartment.
