Modern Farmhouse Cottage Near Cashiers Crossroads and High Hampton

Old Willow Cottage is a charming modern farmhouse located less than one mile from the Cashiers Crossroads near High Hampton, tucked away in a private enclave of five cottages. "Casherz", as the locals call it, has something for the waterfall-chaser, day hiker, and nature enthusiast. This area is very popular for fly fishing with abundant trout streams nearby. This small village comes to life in the warmer months as visitors arrive to enjoy all that the mountains have to offer.

Old Willow Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. The master bedroom is located on the main floor with a king size bed appointed with cozy and luxurious linens. The master bath is exquisitely finished with a large shower and heated marble floors that come in handy on those cold mountain mornings. The guest bedrooms are located upstairs, each with their own private bathroom and large closet. The second master suite has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. The cottage is equipped with six Smart TVs, one located in each bedroom as well as the living room, bonus room, and the screened porch. This cottage features designer furnishings, hardwood floors, ten foot ceilings, and a beautiful stone fireplace with gas logs. The modern kitchen is nicely equipped and flows into the living and dining areas. The vaulted screened porch has a wood-burning fireplace complete with a gas/charcoal grill on the outside patio. The laundry room has a high efficiency washer and dryer with a utility sink. The carport protects you and your car from the weather and comes equipped with a charging outlet for those with an electric vehicle.

The cottage is an ideal location to go on day trips to nearby towns. The quaint and popular town of Highlands is a short drive from the cottage. Other nearby towns to explore are Sapphire, Brevard, Sylva, Waynesville, and Bryson City. Each town has a charm all their own with hiking trails, shopping, and great restaurants. There is abundant wildlife including bears, deer, turkeys, and more. You might be lucky to get a glimpse of our famous white squirrels too. Please do not feed the bears!

Perfect Thanksgiving

Wedding Weekend in Cashiers

We were in Cashiers for a friend’s wedding immediately post hurricane Helene. The house was terrific, decorated well and very conveniently located to things. Our host communicated with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this property.

Heaven in Cashiers

Arrived about 6pm . Easy level entry and easy door code. This house is furnished with everything you could need. The bedrooms are big and loved the linens and comfortable mattresses. The bathrooms are large and luxurious. Decor of the home is bright and comfortable. We all love the well equipped and beautiful kitchen. Location very convenient. Our host replied quickly to our questions. We would definitely rent again.

Charming Cashiers Cottage

Convenient to Cashiers, this cottage is pristine and exudes luxury in it's furnishings and amenities. Living spaces and closets are large with high ceilings and the kitchen is large and well-stocked. We spent considerable time on the large screened porch, which features a large stone fireplace.The owner has thought of every possible detail to ensure that guests enjoy a 5-star experience.

Perfect anniversary getaway

Perfection is the best description for this property! It is stunning, it has everything you would think about needing. Ed even left us creamer for our coffee! We enjoyed our stay so much we requested an extra day which Ed made happen. The location was perfect, We were able to visit all the near by towns. This home is 20 out of 10!!! Thanks Ed!

Gorgeous Cottage!

Christmas Getaway

Our family has been traveling to Cashiers / Highlands area for years and this was by far our favorite rental. The home was exactly as described and perfect for our family of 4. The location was great; right off of the main highway so very convenient to shopping, hiking, etc but the neighborhood felt very secluded once you were there. The screened porch and outdoor fireplace was perfect for the couple of cold rainy days that we had during our stay. We will definitely be back!

LUXURY, PRIVACY, RELAXATION

We stayed at this property over Thanksgiving. And WOW. Hands down our favorite rental property in over 20 years. It's peaceful, luxurious, and relaxing. It's like a PRIVATE FIVE STAR hotel. Some of the amazing details include: Charging stations for electronics Shampoo, conditioner, soap in all the bathrooms Coffee station with coffee pods and sweetener Laundry room with detergent and dryer sheets Private SCREENED IN PORCH with TV, FIREPLACE, firewood, and blankets (my favorite space in the house) Seasonal decor Heated bathroom floors Well appointed kitchen with EVERYTHING we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving feast from state of the art appliances to a meat thermometer and everything in between No detail has been overlooked. Truly the most amazing property. Just go. You will not regret it.

Amazing Mountain Cottage

We cannot say enough how much we enjoyed this home. We have rented a lot of homes in the Cashiers area and this is by far the best! This house is so well appointed and stocked you will lack for nothing. We had a few questions for the owner regarding electronics and he was super responsive. The house is beautiful inside and so comfortable. We have already booked this home again for another stay.

A great way to visit Cashiers

My wife and I have been making summer trips to Cashiers for more than thirty years, usually renting homes near High Hampton Inn. This last visit was probably our best. The cottage was perfect: clean, well equipped with a very practical,comfortable layout. The location was ideal for us. We had a couple stay with us for a few days and they shared our enthusiasm for the house. Our host was very responsive and easy to work with. We highly recommend the cottage.

Prime location, Wonderful Home!

This house has everything you could possibly need to feel at home in Cashiers - it is pristinely clean and appears brand new, it is well-stocked with everything you will need to be comfortable, the rooms are large and spacious with high ceilings and the decor is up-to-date and well-appointed. The climate system works very well, the beds are comfortable, the showers have good water-pressure, the towels are lovely and plentiful and the kitchen fully equipped and a delight! The Cottage is located in a lovely new community close to the center of everything. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back!

Golf Trip

Spent a week golfing in Cashiers. The house was perfect for our needs. There were three of us, and each had a comfortable room with ensuite. Kitchen was fully furnished. Looking forward to a return trip next year.

Favorite rental in 40 years!

This Schoolhouse Cottage is in a wonderful location for visitors interested in all that Cashiers has to offer. It is minutes away from the Village Green, which features a weekly farmer's market, seasonal concerts, and craft fairs. Several of my favorite local restaurants are walking distance from the house and local shopping and other amenities are very close by. Since the home is so close to the crossroads, it is also very easy to access hiking trails, trout waters, and sightseeing in such beautiful spots as Whitewater Falls, the Chattooga River, Whiteside Mountain, Lake Glenville, Yellow Mountain Fire Tower, and Panthertown to name a few. The cottage itself is beautiful and very well designed to accommodate a variety of gatherings, from families to groups of friends or even a couple. There are state-of-the-art amenities and clear instructions for every appliance and feature. The decor is light and inviting, and the Schoolhouse Cottage enclave includes a beautiful communal yard. I have visited Cashiers for 40 years and this is my favorite rental!
