Great stay, but...
First and foremost, the house is beautiful, the amenities are great, and the location is perfect. And had the house cost half of what we paid, I would stop right there. But, at this price point, I need to go on. As far as cleanliness, there are cobwebs throughout the house and the outside decks appear to have not been swept in years. The decks are also in serious need of repair. They are all chipping badly, and there are loose boards sticking up causing a tripping hazard. We were notified the day we arrived that we we couldn't recline any of the theater seats because a few were broke but they couldn't say which ones. Almost every door, interior and exterior, has issues. They either stick, or can't lock. The one slider by the pool got completely stuck and the alarm wouldn't stop. We had to call maintenance , who did respond quickly, who got the door closed, but was unable to fix it, so we can't use that door. The gas grill was absolutely filthy, and we spent an hour cleaning it before we could use it. Again, none of these things ruined our vacation. We had a great time. But at this price point, I simply expect better. Lastly, we had no idea that someone would be stopping by everyday to check the pool. We have been here when they stopped, but have to wonder if we weren't here, would they just come in? This is something that should be communicated ahead of time.
