Are You Kidding Me???
Where do I begin? Although it was located on a Main Street with good access for food (groceries/restaurants), it was embedded in a neighborhood with constantly barking dogs (keeping us awake at night) and dilapidated structures. The immediate views from the roof were deplorable, lots of trash, debris, and the remnants of golf car repair parts. In the distance, the Caribbean Sea can be viewed. The inside of the unit was dark with old furnishings. Some of the cabinets had missing or broken handles. The walls were cracked and in need of paint. The shower remained hot for only 2-3 minutes at most because of the tiny hot water tank. A brand new TV was on the wall but was unplugged, plastic seal still attached, with no programmed channels (not connected to WiFi networks). To get to our unit, three full flights of stairs had to be climbed with luggage upon our arrival. We rented a golf cart from the owner of the “hotel,” and every day, the seats were full of dust/dirt and had to be wiped down or our clothes would be soiled. It is important to know that this “hotel” is just above a hardware store, so it really is questionable as to why he would not have fresh paint, professional repairs for the cracks in the wall, no hooks in the bathroom to hang up a robe or towel, improved lighting, etc. If all you need is a “basic” place to sleep, it will suffice.
