The setting of the house is wooded and fairly private with covered front and back porches. This property is ideally located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. Owners were great to work with and provided detailed arrival and departure information. Perfect for 2 or 3 couples. Kitchen well-equipped. On our future radar!
This was a great house to stay in for my family. The house was as described, owners very helpful, and easy access to a pool, golf course, restaurant, and fitness center. Hope to stay here again next year!
A very spacious home with comfortable beds. A nice back patio and yard. Convenient location to Charlevoix and other activities. Hope to be back next year and would highly recommend.
The home is beautiful and in a great neighborhood, close to activities in and around Charlevoix. Home was comfortable and well-equipped for cooking. Communication from the owners was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
We found this home to be very clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen fully furnished with anything one might need. Generally it was a quiet neighborhood with the exception of the new construction across the street. Since we were gone most of the day and our stay included a weekend, this wasn't a major concern. The beds were comfortable except the twin beds were not satisfactory for an adult. Also that room above the garage was warmer than the rest of the house, so was difficult to keep cool . We had a technical issue with the TV and the owner returned our call promptly that evening. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it even though we didn't golf. It was close to Charlevoix and shopping.
The Country Club Cottage was fantastic venue for anyone looking to vacation in the Charlevoix/Petoskey area! The cottage was exactly described in the VRBO listing, and the communication with MaryAnn & James was exceptional! We'd highly recommend this to anyone considering this rental.
This property has lots of room and privacy. We had some issues when we first checked-in but the owner took care of them quickly. The master bed is very comfy, the queen bed is comfy but very noisy. The A/C works great and there is a full garage for parking your car. The counters in the kitchen and master bath need upgrading. They are tile with stained grout that is cracking and chipping. Additionally, the lot across the street was being cleared for new home construction. Lots of tree cutting, grinding and excavation equiptment. This is obviously out of the control of the property owners, but it is very loud and they start work at 8 am.
Clean, beautiful and spacious home in a great location! Owners were quick to respond to any inquiries. The owners made this home so welcoming - fluffy towels in the master, luggage racks with a large walk-in closet, kitchen amenities & toys for children amongst many others. Wooded setting next to a golf course with multiple beaches nearby (including playgrounds), nice downtown, and close proximity to a number of other sights. Our family of 3 adults and two kids had a wonderful stay.

Why they chose this property
We came to this area on vacation with our children years ago and thought this was the best little resort town we have ever visited. When we had the opportunity we invested in a vacation home here and the rest is history.
What makes this property unique
We love the white fish in restaurants or to purchase it from John Cross Fisheries, the local fish market. We visit the shops, the beaches, and the local attractions whenever we are here and haven't tired of them yet. The downtown marina is fabulous with the outdoor amphitheater and the local library is one of the best libraries for a small town we have ever experienced. The local bike trail goes from near our house to Petoskey and is an easy ride.
