About this property
18th century house, a unique stay in an oasis of charm and luxury
Dating back to 1711, this beautiful house offers a completely unique holiday, revealing the charm of its 300 years of history - original floors, ceiling beams, open fire places - while having been renovated to the highest standard of luxury.
The house stands on its own large and secluded, beautiful grounds with two 18th century barns and a playing area for the youngest, The land offers guests complete privacy, peace and quiet, yet with only 1,5 km to the village centre with grocery store and restaurants, and only 2,5 km to a lake perfect for swimming and family fun.
Outdoor entertainment is made perfect on the wooden/cobbled deck with interior lights, circle shaped outdoor wooden dinner table under an ancient, huge pear tree, gas grill, deck chairs, armchairs, outdoor corner sofa etc.
Still, the main treasure of this mansion is its stylish interior.
The ground floor contains the kitchen, complete with original flooring and ceiling beams, stove, dishwasher, double top of the line Samsung fridge/freezer, microwave, a Nespresso Creatista (20 capsules included in rental) and seating for six.
Some pieces of furniture are inherited from the owners own great-grandparents, others reflect their own interest in art and interior design.
On the same flood, there is a spacious dining room for eight with an open fireplace (one bag of birch wood included in rental) and two adjoining armchairs, a spacious main entrance with adjoining restroom, and a beautiful living room with original floors, two sofas, an original 18th century, fully functional tile stove and a single bed. Also on the ground floor, a newly renovated, tiled laundry room with high quality Samsung washing machine, tumble dryer and steam generator iron.
On the first floor is yet another spacious living area with a sofa and four armchairs as well as a 75” Samsung LED TV with Apple TV. On this floor you will also find the main, newly renovated master suite with a high quality double bed, multiple storing space, stove and its own private, newly renovated, en suite tiled bathroom with shower.
Also on this floor, another large double bedroom with multiple wardrobes and two kids beds (if needed) as well as another, smaller double bedroom. Also, a newly renovated, tiled main bathroom with oversized walk-in shower, separate huge bathtub, cupboards and double basins.
13 (!) wireless Sonos speakers provide the whole house with music at guests own will, and wireless Wi-Fi is included in the rental.
This house, truly, provides a one of a kind, unique opportunity for a vacation that combines a 300 year-old history with the best of modern comfort.
