We had no problems and enjoyed our stay. Clean and homey. Three gals going to a wedding, 2 bathrooms were a plus. Perfect for our weekend away! Thank you Karleen& Jim👍
Clean place, near CCRT - Bike Path & Breakwater beach
Nice place. We had 4 adults and a teenage stay for a girls weekend. Owners were very communicative. Place was tidy and as advertised. We loved that the Cape cod rail trail was 1/2 a mile away, could have rode or walked over to it but it had a great parking lot so we drove over instead. Breakwater beach a mile up the road and was wonderful (no parking permit required in off season). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
Karleen is a great host, communication was excellent. The house was perfect for our family, very spacious and so clean! The beds were very comfortable. The road is a little busy but we were not there enough for it to bother us. Would definitely stay again!
Cozy cottage with a roomy backyard . Close by beaches and restaurants. Brewster is a great location as a starting off place to other areas of the Cape.
My friends and I have been planning this getaway for years to celebrate turning 40. We had a wonderful week in Cape Cod! The house is maintained and very clean. With the small but thoughtful touches (like the little soaps in the bathrooms) it made me feel like I was staying at a friends house. I appreciate how the owner would check-in with us and was easily reachable during our stay. The sun room is a great spot to read and drink coffee. There is some road noise at night but having a sound machine helps block it out. We rented bikes for the week from Brewster Cycle Center (shout out to Tyler!) and it was a quick ride from the house to get on the rail trail. It's a 15 minute bike ride to Paine’s Creek Beach-a small and quiet beach with beautiful views. We had a great time on the Cape!
We had a great time reuniting with family in Brewster. We played board games, ate together, and went for family walks. We used the sand toys and chairs at Breakwater beach. We slept comfotably and enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!
We stayed over memorial day weekend and had a really great time. The house is clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the backyard, bbq, eating and reading outside and smores at night!
It's a short drive from the beach (less than 5 min) which is very convenient.
Karleen was easy to reach out for question we had during our stay and she made sure we had a great time!
Will definitely be renting again for our next Cape Cod vacation!
The property is lovely. Karleen was an incredibly accommodating and responsive host. It is a very comfortable place to stay. I loved the sunroom and the proximity to cute shops and beautiful beaches. Very clean and well equipped. We hope to come back again!
The cottage was in a perfect location on the cape -- close to both 6A and 6 which made it easy to get around to other parts of the Cape. Breakwater Beach was 3 minutes away which was a great place to watch the amazing bayside sunsets. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and we loved the layout. The host was warm and welcoming and was very responsive to our needs.
.We hope to return. The location in Brewster near beaches, walking trails, shops, museums, country store and historic sites is perfect. The house is well furnished and decorated and the kitchen is well appointed. It is roomy for 4 people. Although we could not use the yard because of weather the picnic table .and fireplace certainly looked inviting. We had a restful and enjoyable 3 days.
We had a lovely weekend at this cute house in beautiful Brewster. The home was well laid out, with plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate! We enjoyed the large back yard and the sunroom too! Our host was pleasant to co.municate with and very supportive throughout our stay! We hope to return!
This place is beautiful, and Karleen's prompt response made the entire trip experience lovely. Thank you for welcoming us to Cape Cod and into your beautiful, serene place.
The house was perfect for our short winter getaway, close to Brewster favorites and not far from Dennis, Orleans and Chatham. Our host was very quick to respond to questions, usually within 5 minutes. Beds are comfy but a little softer than I’m used to. Kitchen is well equipped. Coffee maker is the drip kind, we brought along our own small keureg. There are cozy blankets in the living room. We were greeted with fresh flowers and pretty holiday decorations. We didn’t use the tv at all: played cards and games every evening and laughed together.
We had a delightful time at this cottage. Very clean, comfortable and wonderful location.
Very pleasant owners to work with. I am already looking to renting again next year!
Thank you!
This house was perfect for our family group. Bedrooms and bathrooms accomodated 4 adults and 2 children, kitchen is well equipped, backyard is quiet and spacious. Great location for going to bay or ocean beaches as well as visiting a number of surrounding towns.
Karleen was helpful and responded right away when was needed. Clean vrbo with everything ready to go. Would stay again, especially if judging by its price point vs location.
We had an fantastic time at the house in Brewster. The property was a mile from a lovely beach and about the same to an quiet pond where we went kayaking. Brewster village is quaint and has an historic general store and lots of good restaurants. The location is perfectly located to explore both ends of the Cape and everything in between!
Immaculate, well furnished home in Brewster. Plenty of room and stocked with everything you might need. Great place to stay while exploring the Cape, convenient to shops and restaurants in Brewster and Orleans. Thank you very much for a wonderful long weekend!
The house was beautiful, comfortable, and exactly as advertised. We have stayed at other places on Cape but will for be coming back here again. Great communication from Karleen.

About the host

I am an artist and retired schoolteacher; my husband is a writer and retired Education specialist. We have been renting homes on the Cape for 10 years, so we have used that experience to direct us as to what best to provide for renters to our property. My husband and I enjoy working with people and hosting. Our Cape home is giving us the opportunity to create a special place that we hope will be provide renters with everything they would need to enjoy their time away from home.
Why they chose this property
It is a quiet walkable neighborhood with large yards and an abundance of trees with that "Old Cape" feeling. The beaches, both bay and lake, are easily accessed as is the main arteries on the Cape to get to other areas of interest. The nearby bike path is some of the most beautiful parts of the rail to trail as it takes you along Pleasant lake. We love the short walk to the 1800's Brewster (General) Store and that the Snowy Owl and Brewster bookstore are right down the road on 6A, with Nickerson Park only a 10-minute car ride.
