Welcome to Cedar Key Village, a charming lakefront community of 11 homes. This spectacular all Cedar lake front Cabin is nestled in a secluded no wake cove. Beautiful lake side garden adds to the beauty of the lake and mountains. Boat slip and a semii-dock provided.
Amazing views of the lake and mountains surrounded by deep woods. There are very few homes on the lake that have such a beautiful view. The gardens in front of the cabin are simply lovely. My husband worked hard for four years to create this magic for you! The all cedar cabin is very well maintained and always spotlessly clean. Read the reviews, everyone just loves it. It is simply charming and inviting. You will not want your vacation to end.
The entire house is for your use, including your shared dock with your next door traveler. You can drive to your dock, only a few properties on the lake have this feature or you can take the 1 minute walk. Driving is great if you have a cooler for your boat.
Our parking lot is just a minute to the cabin by foot. You will unload in front of the cabin and then park in the resort parking lot.
Smith Mountain is a hydroelectric lake which means the lake levels will go up and down based on electrical usage. Typically you don't notice it unless there is a big rain storm coming and they lower the lake. We have a floating dock in the cove which works great for launching your kayaks, canoes or paddle boards in case the lake is lower.
There is no trash service for our side of the lake but we do have a dump 5 minutes away. We ask all guest to take trash to the dump prior to their departure.
We offer free wifi and have great cell connection

The cabin was perfect. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake and watching the stars at night. The host was very responsive if we had a question.
I finally planned a long-overdue Mother-Son Trip with my 47-yr. old son and his 12-yr.-old fur-baby. This cozy cabin didn't disappoint, but rather exceeded our expectations & afforded us the ideal setting for the relaxing get in touch with nature experience we were looking for. My son was able to go on several short hikes nearby the cabin and fish from dock on Smith Mountain Lake. I enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck over-looking the large, well-landscaped back yard & listening to the sounds of nature while sipping my coffee each morning and basking in the sun. The interior of the cabin was just as I expected. So tastefully decorated and not "child- proofed". I felt as though a decorator had just left before we arrived. Not to mention a cabin with a bidet?!! How lovely is that? Alicia, the Host was very accommodating and helpful from the first contact, throughout and after our stay. I could not ask for a better Host - She's top notch and strives to please! Something you don't see too often these days!
There are only a couple things I'd do differently the next time I visit. (Yes, I do plan on coming back!! ) Plan to stay longer; 7-10 days would be ideal, for me. Once you've experience heaven, its so difficult to rip yourself away and return to normal life as we know it. Pack more wine!
Our family (my husband, our 13 yo son, our 10 month old baby, and myself) stayed at the cabin for a short weekend visit. We found it clean and easy to access. It had all of the things we needed including a high chair (which was a nice bonus). The dock was lovely and our son spent a lot of time fishing down there during out trip. The views from the cabin were really nice and the area was peaceful. Overall it was a great experience and we would certainly rent this cabin again.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The view is gorgeous! The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Decorated so nicely. It was peaceful and quiet. I was hoping to see the stars at night (which I am sure would have been amazing), but a tropical storm came in and the skies never cleared. Alicia was great and contacted us as soon as we arrived. She gave us ideas on places to go and things to see. Great communication. We had no problems at all. Would definitely love to come back again!
We enjoyed our stay at the lake. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. Our favorite thing to do was simply sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful lake, the mountains, wildlife and the wonderful peace and quiet. Thank you Alicia for sharing your home with us.
You can read the good in other peoples reviews. But here's what I DID NOT love.
Firstly, the dock for cabin 6 is pretty high off the water and there is not an easy access to the water if you are in a kayak, canoe, or paddle board. It is about 4-5 feet off the water so we had to lower everything down into our kayaks/canoes/paddle board while trying to balance in the boat and one of us standing on the dock. Then we had to lift a 85 lbs dog down into that. Not easy. Not only this we also had to drop the heavy canoe and paddle boards off this dock which was not easy. The only other way into the water with these things is over very large rough rocks that are wobbly. This was the most inconvenient thing I'd say about this location.
There was also no washer or dryer to my knowledge. I did not see it in the house description on this website nor could I find one at all in the whole house. That is quite inconvenient when you have wet lake clothes for multiple days.
There is no trash that runs out that far so you have to drive it to a nearby dump. They will not have a cleaner do it for you. Not the worst thing in the world but noted.
The last day before we were leaving I was grabbing a few things out of the kitchen before we left and saw two roaches...not what you want to see when you book a house for nearly 2000$ for 3 nights....
I think the house was fine. Not the best I've stayed at but we still had a lot of fun! Fine but i.m.o not worth the $$
first time to smith mountain lake and we had a wonderful trip. location was ideal, cabin was a nice place to rest and relax at the end of the trip. communication with the owners was easy and they were very helpful. we really enjoyed it and will be back!
The Cabin is cute, cozy and perfect for the 4 occupancy limit. It’s right on the water and the lake was clear and soo inviting. The coolest most convenient store, The White House convenience store was within 10 minutes and offers everything you need to stock up. I can’t wait to go back to the cabin.
Beautiful location — the lake is crystal clear, there is a lot of wildlife, tons of fish, and a lot to do. The host was wonderful — tons of recommendations for restaurants and other things to do. We will be back!
Very nice, clean and comfortable cabin on the lake with awesome views. Was looking forward to a quiet getaway and this place did not disappoint. Communication with the owner was excellent and there were no issues whatsoever. We highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful property. We loved how quite it is during the day, and the best part, no wake zone. The sunsets are amazing. Property owner is very responsive and even took the time to search for my lost wedding band. My wife and I truly appreciate the all around service and treatment. Highly recommend.
It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of life in this beautiful cabin! The views were breathtakingly gorgeous. The shower was divine. The mattress was so comfortable. Honestly, the best night sleep I have had since before my kids were born. My family enjoyed time spent with extended family who lived about an hour away. However, it was so much fun going back to the cabin in the evening and relaxing after our visits. My kids really loved playing the board games at night. It was amazing to witness the time they spent off their tablets. Enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning. My kids really loved hiking and seeing the wildlife. Easiest checking in and out process ever. No massive cleaning list to get done upon checking out which is impressive! Thank you for allowing us to stay. We cannot wait to book our next visit again soon.

We had an amazing time at Alicia's cabin! She was the perfect host and provided us with all of the information we could have needed. She was easy to reach and very helpful! The cabin is great! It's well stocked and extremely clean. It happened to be a bit chilly and rainy outside when we visited, but the cabin stayed warm and cozy. We loved the electric fireplace! The cove is beautiful and so private, it felt like we were in another world! Will definitely stay again!
Beautiful cabin inside and out. The views of the lake were gorgeous and the host was very responsive and detailed. Will definitely stay again if I return to Smith Mountain Lake.
This was the perfect cabin for a relaxing weekend to celebrate my birthday in a tranquil place. The cabin was perfect. We absolutely loved the fact that she truly had everything we needed for our stay. It was nice to be able to cook and have everything necessary to do so. Her communication was awesome. We are looking forward to coming back.
Cozy cabin in a beautiful setting. The cabin it self was clean, and comfortable. The view of the lake from the deck was un obstructed, and beautiful. Short walk to dock to enjoy another view of the lake. We rented kayak"s to explore the various coves. Fished, swam and just enjoyed a peaceful vacation. Owner was a phone call away to answer any questions. Perfect!!!
We stayed in a small 2 bedroom cabin with lake access. The views from the deck were great. We were in a no wake area on the lake so the lake was perfect for kayaking and any powerboats were slow movers.
Very cozy cottage among other similar cottages. Quiet and clean with all of the necessities. Comfortable beds, terrific TV setup and great kitchen amenities. Great for swimming off the dock in a no wake cove that makes it extra serene. Highly recommend.
