The old cabin was moved to Robertson County, Kentucky from a nearby county in 2000 and reconstructed in a creative yet classic style with modern amenities. The remote location, 200+ acres and significant distance from the road offers a perfect place for a retreat, and the perfect place to regenerate your soul. My parents lived here for 20 years and the house is filled with a love and warmth that carries over to present day. This cabin has been a labor of love and holds a special place in our family's heart.

This was the second time we stayed at this cabin and it did not disappoint. We love the location. It is so peaceful and the cabin has everything you need. We will be coming back.
We stayed for 3 nights with our three labs and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin is beautiful and extremely well maintained, kitchen supplies and all basic needs were ample, it was interesting to read the history and see many cherished photos. Terrie was very quick to respond and allowed us to change our reservation to arrive sooner than expected. This was my first rental experience, and it exceeded my expectations and our needs.
Overall, the experience was great. The farm itself is a lovely path of land and I spent the majority of my time relaxing and just enjoying nature. The house/cabin was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is outfitted with pretty much everything you need. Aside from a few check in hiccups, it was a great location and the perfect place to get away for a weekend.
The property was even better than advertised. Communications with the host was quick and speedy. Quiet place to just enjoy life but please remember bug spray for evening front porch relaxation. We will be back.
The cabin was great! It was quiet and peaceful. My wife and I stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. It's like you stepped back in time with modern amenities. The cabin sits on a lot of acreage with trails and lakes, and no close neighbors 🙌. The Host is just a text or call away and answer's quickly. You can't go wrong booking this property.
My wife, one of my daughters and I all had various writing and art projects we were working on. We rented this place to get away and have a chance to get something done. This place was perfect. We each had our own workspace and could really concentrate. The place was well furnished; the kitchen especially well equipped. We were also able to do some bird watching. The only problem was the air conditioner which wasn't quite up to the task when it got up into the mid-90s.
Pictures don't do this place justice. Charming and romantic are the way I would describe this property. We loved everything about this place. Clean, spacious, and simply delightful. I truly hope my travels take me this way again for another opportunity to stay here. Owner was great to work with, and the fenced in area in the back for our dog took this property from a 10 out of 10 to a 12 out of 10. Thank you!!
We loved our stay! Being artists ourselves, we appreciated all the small aesthetic choices that had been lovingly made. They had plenty of info about the build of the cabin, which we found super interesting.
The bed was comfy (always important!), all the outlets worked, water got plenty hot, fridge had a few condiments in it, which didn’t bother us one bit!
The acreage was beautiful! There are some amazing trails on the property, but the paths are not even, so make sure to bring some good shoes.
To us this place felt warm, cared for and lived in. If you’re wanting a place that feels void of the owners personality, you might want to try another place. For us though, we were halfway through our stay and were already picking out another weekend to come again! Could not recommend it more.
This property is beautiful, very secluded. Has all the necessary amenities washer, dryer, stove, air conditioner, Wi-Fi, streaming services for the TV. If you're into hiking, then they have literally miles of trails (just bring tick spray, those little buggers are everywhere). Very rustic cabin, quite enjoyable. This is my second time being there, and I would consider a third!
Very homey, comfortable, rustic. We spent most of the time on the front porch playing games and chatting. The property is beautiful and the cabin is full of homey touches. Terri was very easy to work with and very responsive. This was my second stay here and 100% would book again.
This is a rustic cabin in a beautiful, quiet setting. It is a large property with great hiking trails. It is also a reasonable and scenic drive to town if you want to grab a bite to eat or make an ice cream run. Terrie was great and very responsive. We can't wait until our next visit.
I'll start with the few negative items - Although modern amenities are listed, the dishwasher is very slow & clothes dryer timer is broken. (Upon arrival there is a note advising that we not use them.)
We were disappointed to see a heavy infestation of large stink bugs & orange lady bugs in the bathrooms & bedrooms. These freaked out the kids.
There was also a note saying there is a mouse issue in the spring, however we were there in January & there are definitely mice year-round. My daughter had a hard time sleeping in the cabin, due to the daily mouse parade in the walls/roof every morning at 5-6am.
Although a deadbolt is listed, the main entry door simply has a handle lock (equivalent security of an interior door lock). Being city folk, we would have felt more secure with a better lock.
On a positive note - The cabin is beautiful & much bigger than the pictures show. The trails are extremely interesting & the property map is really well-made. If your family is adventurous, you can see several lakes & an interesting old house on your hikes. We awoke to deer in the front yard every day. At night, we could hear coyotes howling. We are Floridians, so our kids absolutely loved the frozen lakes & rolling down the big hills. Being a cabin I was worried about draftiness, but it was surprisingly warm in 30 degree temps. There are many interesting features to discover inside & outside. You will not be disappointed with the decor.
Giving 4 stars just for the cleanliness - with a little extra cleaning, this property would be perfection. Thank you to the hosts for being easily accessible during our stay.
This was my 1st time using VRBO. I was not disappointed! The house was immaculate and grounds where even more amazing. The owners where awesome and had everything in place for us! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Beautiful, unique cabin with a fascinating history. You must read about how the cabin was restored and rebuilt on the property. Gorgeous property and surrounding area. Terri and her family were all extremely friendly and helpful with any questions I had.
A beautiful, expansive property gave my family of four plenty to do. Hiking, riding bikes exploring the property, fishing, or just relaxing on the porch with book.
Good wifi and a study meant we could keep up on work if needed, but the quiet rural setting and the beautiful atmosphere of the home made it easy to forget about the "outside world".
Highly recommended.
