We absolutely loved our stay. So close to Washington state park for plenty of hiking. This was a great place to get away and relax to the sounds of the creek and the nature around. The host was available at any time for question, comments and concerns. We strongly suggest this destination, vacation, Cabin on the Creek.
We had a great time at this awesome home on the creek! We've been coming to Payson regularly for the last couple of years and we love this place! First time here, but will definitely return! Great location, great creek access and so close to so many hiking
trails.
Thank you Brian!!
areas. Thank you Brian!return was
What an amazing place to stay. The beauty, peace and solitude were priceless. The cabin was clean with everything you need for cooking. The bed was very comfortable. I will be back.
My husband just received clean scans after an eight-month cancer journey. He needed to get out of town and be able to walk to a creek to play in the water, fish, and relax. And that's what we got with Brian's cabin. My husband loves nature, and he spent hours at the creek every day. I loved the kitchen, the big windows, the balcony, and not having to drive for a week! We picked up groceries in town before getting to the cabin and never got back in the car until we left! It's a great place for a week getaway. Thanks, Brian!
Place was GREAT. SOUND OF CREEK, TREES, and VERY QUIET. Bed was soooo comfortable. Had to buy big some spray to kill spiders. But had a great time. Thank you
We had such an amazing time! The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. Brian was kind enough to offer to light tge stove for us before we got there so it was nice and cozy when we got there and warned us about a snow storm headed our way. His house keeper is a lovely woman who when she came across us putting chains on our tires stopped to make sure we were alright and offer us help and advice. We'll definitely be back again when theres less snow 😊
This is an incredible cabin! If you are looking to REALLY go into the woods, this is the place for you. We so enjoyed our stay and Brian was very communicative and helpful with internet issues (disclaimer- would not recc for remote work). The cabin is rustic, charming and feels like home the second you walk in. It’s pretty challenging to find and you will be on unpaved dirt/gravel roads, SUV/truck is a must. We will definitely return :).
We did enjoy our stay, the creek was awesome and the nature surrounding was so serene. However, this property proposes difficulties for people that have physical limitations such as my wife and I have. The driveway down is rough and steep. You definitely need a 4X4 or a high profile vehicle for this. There is limited cell service. These 2 things should have been conveyed up front. The cabin is rustic and is an ongoing project. The kitchen is well stocked and fully functional. None of the stairs have sufficient or any railings at all. We had to sleep upstairs as that was the only bathroom near a room. The only outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The shower tub was difficult for us to get in and out of. We had to bring a heater upstairs as the room was frigid. To be fair, most of our difficulties stem from my hip replacement and neck fusion surgeries and my wife's numerous back surgeries. We did have a very restful weekend and we did keep a positive mind so as to enjoy our experience.
My family stayed at Brian's cabin over the Thanksgiving break.
We had the best experience staying here. Dealing with the host Brian was a pleasure, as he is super responsive to requests. The cabin itself, wile being rustic, has every amenity you could want - especially in the kitchen. We absolutely LOVED this place and will absolutely be back.
We had such a nice and relaxing a long weekend escaping from the heat in the valley. Enjoyed the creek and a nice rain storm our last evening there. Brain was accommodating and communicative. Everything was great!
This is a great property if you like the outdoors. Lots of nearby trails and off road access. It is remote but there are other houses around it. They were all empty in March though.
Great big kitchen and just enough amenities to be comfortable. If you're looking for frills or hotel style comfort, this may not be the place. But it's a great house to bring your dog and explore the area.
This cabin was such a gem! Husband and I wanted to get away for a long weekend and we cannot believe our luck in finding such a perfect spot. The rooms were very nice, bed was super comfortable, and the cabin had all the amenities a person could ask for. We were a little worried about not having a heater - but that wood burning stove kept the ENTIRE cabin nice and toasty. We will definitely be back.
The location is perfect, you can see the creek from inside the kitchen and dining room, the upstairs bedroom, and of course the deck where you can also hear it. Wood stove kept us perfectly warm. Kitchen is big and had everything we needed. Also close enough to town to go for dinner, etc. It was very quiet in the area for most of our stay, saw a few people in other homes on Saturday and Sunday, but not right next door to us. Should be noted, You probably cannot get a car all the way down the driveway, we had four wheel drive and clearance so we could, otherwise, you would have to carry belongings approx. 50 yards. to cabin from level part of driveway. There are stairs up to the cabin and bathroom is upstairs. We were not uncomfortable having our dogs there, it is nice, but not so perfect you're afraid to relax. Our dogs loved the walks on the road to the creek. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
This cabin was perfect for us. While there is no heat, there were space heaters throughout the house as well as a fireplace and wood stove which kept us all plenty warm. There was even a big stack of wood for us at the house to use. We even ended up turning the space heaters off because we didn’t need them. The kitchen was spacious and stocked with everything we needed. Hiking trails nearby were great too. Brian was also very responsive to our questions both before we arrived and while we were there. Overall an excellent stay and we will be back.
