This property was perfect for our quick getaway to Dubuque with friends. We were able to easily get around to a lot of local spots on foot, great location. The house has a lot of cool quirks and flare. Back patio with hot tub was a fun bonus and the front porch was great for a morning cup of coffee!
We had everything we needed. We forgot to bring some things but it was a good time. We had good access to all the attractions in Dubuque, Iowa. The only things that may hinder people is the stairs are steep for some people.
This place was fabulous. Great location and price. The bedding was some of the best I’ve ever had at a VRBO. The hot tub was wonderful in the backyard. Enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed this property. The decor is amazing, and the creature comforts are appreciated. Very nice bedding, towels, and other incidentals made the stay easy and relaxing. We enjoyed a tasty lunch at the Barrel House. Highly recommend!
The home was great and as listed. We were walking distance to restaurants and farmers market. It had a great little courtyard for afternoon relaxation. Would definitely recommend and come back.
We play in a basketll tourney every year in Dubuque and the love this cute place. The convenience, amenities and proximity to everything is great. We espcilly like MArio's across the street!
We had a lovely stay at Lisa's place! She was easy to work with and it is in a great location. My only note is that the place could have used a deep cleaning to eliminate any dust. It was clean overall, but there were a few baseboards and corners where dust had collected.
We had a wedding in Dubuque and my husband and I were traveling with friends. The home we stayed in was perfect for our weekend. Enough rooms, bathrooms,
lovely patio to sit and have coffee on in the morning. communication was great. The home fit our needs and plenty to do and see in the area. Found some great restaurants as well.
From the warm welcome of the brick walls and hardwood floors to the artistic decor of vintage, antique and modern flair, this was a gem. The additional touch of cozy blankets and aromatic hand soaps were a warm welcome during the coldest time of the year.
My wife and I had a get-away weekend for our anniversary and the place couldn't have been more perfect. Tons of space, so easily can accommodate more than just the two of us - three levels, three bedrooms. And the courtyard was a great place to relax, especially with the hot tub!
We will definitely try to land this home next time we're in Dubuque and we are grateful to the hosts for providing such a wonderful experience.
Great long weekend family get away. Family of 5 with plenty of room to spread out but be together. We played board games on the large table. The kids used the hot tub and said it was great. Nice location and walking distance to a great coffee shop called Charolette's. About 20 minutes to Galena for a day trip and we went hiking and saw Grant's home. Lila the property manager was great and communicated everything along the way and we had no issues. We even brought our dog with and he loved it. Would stay again!
Clean, quaint, charming, quiet. Celebrated my 50th birthday and had a wonderful stay. Too hot and rainy to make use of the hot tub. Took advantage of the farmers market on Saturday morning. 3rd floor bedroom was extremely hot when we arrived. Looked the hose to vent outside was disconnected. Contacted Lisa and it was taken care of immediately.
This property was a very nice representation of the historical houses in the area. The information about the house indicates that the stairs are steep and that is definitely true. If you have bad knees this may not be the house for you. If I want to nitpick the other small complaint wasthe amount of hangers. We only had 5 hangers in our bedroom. All in all the house was great.
The home is really pretty, very clean and lots of new quality furnishings. We stayed for the film festival and it was a very short drive (about 10 blocks). Parking at the property is tricky. It is permit parking and random times for metered parking. The parking ticket was only $10.00 so we chose just to street park and take our chances. The host was very responsive and super helpful she left us water, coffee and other amenities which was very nice. We will stay again next year.
Beautiful and comfortable with an arty vintage flair
I stayed here with two friends for a work retreat, and we all loved this place.
It's so tastefully decorated--the eclectic selection of art on the walls was wonderful and whimsical, and not generic like so many properties; the furnishings were comfy, many of them vintage, and of high quality. The AC worked wonderfully--we were there in a heat wave, but the home stayed nice and cool.
This property is located in the historic core of Dubuque, walkable to cute restaurants and shops and kitty-corner to the grand old city hall. It's not the liveliest street, even a bit sparse, except for the farmer's market day, of course, which was a treat.
Our host was responsive to all requests. Also if you hate gross air plug-in fresheners, you'll be happy to know there are none here. Thank you for that, Lisa!
This property is three levels, and there are two sets of slim vintage stairs, so not recommended for mobility issues. If I could have changed one thing, it would be for there to be an umbrella on the cute back porch to sit under.
This is a good place. I would definitely come back here if I visited Dubuque again.
I chose this property because of the number of bathrooms. Appreciated that we could all have our own
Worked great for a friend's weekend.
