Stunning views of the sea - sunsets to die for. Hugh the property manager is excellent. Bed is super comfortable and the best restaurant in Barbados - The Fish Pot - is right next door!
We stayed six nights at Sea Spray Villa. This was our second stay. From our first stay, we had fond memories of the view from the deck. Once again the view was amazing from sunsets to rainbows. The villa was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well set up. The beach at the villa was good for swimming and snorkelling. The manager checked in regularly to answer any questions we had. Down the road was The Fish Pot restaurant for an excellent meal. Up the road was a small store where you can find the essentials amd friendly conversation. Buses went by regularly to Spreightstown. Wonderful time. Thank you!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay! Mostly sunning and reading and snorkeling right out in front of the villa. We were able to rent snorkels and masks by walking down the beach to the Fish Pot restaurant. There’s a man affiliated with the hotel/ restaurant who was happy to rent us his equipment. He also mentioned the option of going to SY Adam’s in Speightstown if we wanted to buy some affordable gear. All and all a PERFECT stay. Big thanks to Linda for hosting us and Mr. Bapp for checking us and making sure we had everything we needed.
The property is exactly what was expected. The private beach area is shared with two neighbours but was very private, only having company in the water once. We saw plenty of needlefish, and lots of sea turtles. Les and Linda were excellent hosts and called and emailed regularly.and emailed re
Had a great stay, the place has everything you need- washer/dryer, kitchen, stable internet to work if needed, air conditioning and gorgeous views over the ocean and a private beach with an outdoor shower on the way back up. The owners and caretaker Mr. Babb were great. I got in super late but he was still there to walk me through the apartment, showed me the ropes locally (restaurants, groceries, etc) and was always a phone call away. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet and scenic getaway
We enjoyed our stay with the situation right on the sea
Hugh was helpful and the locals were easy to interact with.
We did miss not having the washing machine and the fact there was no BBQ
Loved the privacy of a beautiful beach down the stairs. Definitely bring your snorkeling equipment, it’s beautiful and lively under water right off the beach.
We rented the villa because we wanted to experience the ocean right underneath us, and we enjoyed the sound of the waves and the serenity every day. It’s perfect for an escape, privacy and creativity process.
The place is very clean and pleasant. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating.
Sea Spray is a tucked away little treasure in Moontown/Half Moon Fort. We had a lovely 3 week stay - and although the seas were very rough - watching the waves crashing on the cliffs was breathtaking. Very well equipped kitchen and air conditioning worked well. Lovely balcony to watch the sunsets. Hugh was very helpful and at the ready when we needed him and Les and Linda checked on us several times to make sure we were doing well. Monkeys were so much fun too. Already booked for next year!

Easter Break 2015
My partner, daughter (aged 8), and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seaspray. The views are stunning, we even spotted a turtle from the balcony as well as many exotic fish.
The property is very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with all that you would need to accommodate your stay. Daphne our cleaner was amazing and very discrete, and the property Manager Tricia very helpful.
Merton's Fish Fry is a must, we visited on several occasions during our stay, for a very simple but delicious meal, it is a 5 minute walk from Seaspray.
We had a great time and hope to return to this beautiful villa, which we are glad that we have discovered :)

Really Great Property/Really Great Owners/Hosts!!
From the initial booking to the departure, everything about our stay at Sea Spray Villas was exceptional. Before our stay, the owners were very thorough about helping us with transfers as well as making recommendations. Our driver was great (even was patient with us as we hit a grocery store on the way to property) as was the local property manager who also helped us with a day trip and with a car rental.
The property was fantastic from the "woompf" of waves hitting just under the patio, to the space for the 2 of us, to the great little path down to the water for a morning swim before breakfast. The property feels very secure and comes complete with protective canons just next door!!
Thank you very much for sharing your property with us!
The villa was exactly as described and was a perfect size for the two of us. .The view from the patio and sunsets over the ocean was spectacular for hours. The snorkeling from the shoreline was some of the best I have ever done.
The support we received from the owners was second to none. The owners set us up with a transfer to and from the airport . Mr Peter was a excellent guide and resource .
The property manager Marcia was always ahead of us for the things we needed during our stay. Thanks to Both of them for making our stay awesome .
We rented the car from the owners. this enhanced our touring of the island with no additional fuss of a rental agency.
Top notch grades to all.
PS. the friendliest safest island we have ever been too.
Will be back.

We had a wonderful time at SeaSpray. The setting is absolutely gorgeous with a spacious outside patio facing the ocean and a small private beach accessed by a walkway from the front door. The Villa was spotless and well furnished with all necessary amenities including a well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, stereo system, DirectTV, telephone for local calls, fast internet and a hot shower.
The property is on the upper northwestern part of the island and as such doesn’t attract the large crowds from the cruise ships or resorts closer to Bridgetown. While regularly scheduled bus service is available to most parts of the island and taxis are ubiquitous, we found that a car rental served our purposes best. SeaSpray makes a car available at a competitive rate without the hassle of a rental agency.
The hosts, Linda and Les Warner were top notch. From the initial booking to our final day they did everything possible to ensure a perfect vacation.

Wonderful Place to Stay in Barbados
Seaspray at Half Moon Fort is the perfect place to stay on Barbados. The deck overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea provides awesome sunsets and a wonderful opportunity to look right down into the sea and through the crystal clear water you can see the fish and coral below. Your own access to the water is a great way to cool off or stroll two minutes to virtually your own beach. The owners have provided all the amenities: a full kitchen, washer and dryer, ceiling fan (though with the wonderful breezes it was hardly needed), a/c in the bedrooms, even WIFI if you want to stay connected. The apartment was clean and well kept. A quick walk you are at the local market for most of your needs. There is an oceanfront restaurant (Merton’s) across the street from the little market serving fresh fish which was delicious. There is access to public transportation to get to almost anywhere on the island. Seaspray is away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts yet convenient to the necessities. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else, it was the perfect choice.

Wonderful Honeymoon Rental with Outstanding People
We booked the lower level at Sea Spray for our honeymoon. All the interactions with the owners and Tricia, the property manager, were great. Leading up to our trip, all our questions were answered in a very professional and friendly manner. This was our first trip to the island and we truly had a great time. I was very impressed by the ease of the process, the outstanding service from Sea Spray, and the location and amenities at the villa. We soaked in the sea everyday at the house, and relaxed on the patio overlooking western sunsets every night. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to make breakfast in the mornings, and a few dinners, but this villa is so close to great food, that we ate out a lot. We highly recommend Merton's fish fry and Island Plates in Speightstown. The locals were very friendly, and the home was very close to local beaches. I can't say enough how wonderful the owners and Tricia were. We will remember our stay here for the rest of our lives, and we hope to return to Barbados soon. I would stay here again if we do return. Thank you Sea Spray! We wish you the best and much success!

Lovely villa with beautiful ocean view
We stayed in the lower level flat in the early November. It’s now part of our wonderful memory of Barbados. The flat is spacious with everything we need. We managed to cook a couple of meals and use the washing machine, which are both impossible to do if stayed in a luxury hotel. And yet we get the same stunning view of the ocean and saw beautiful sunset on the balcony.
As a city girl I initially found the sound of the crushing waves a little too powerful at night, but I got used to it or the sea calmed down later in the week. My boyfriend found the sound soothing all the way.
Again as a city girl snorkelling at the bottom of the villa in the relatively rough sea was a little challenging for me, but we managed one dip-in and saw many fish.
The bus journey into the towns in the south was certainly a new experience. We are glad to have tried it, although coming back to the villa in the evening rush hours could be a challenge. We resolved to hire a car so to explore Barbados freely and properly.
The owner Lynda and the helper natali are both wonderful and extremely helpful. They made our stay a little more special. We found the Bajans in general are happy, laid back and friendly.
We’ll be exploring other Caribbean islands in the immediate future but if we are to come back to Barbados we’d be happy to stay in this gorgerous villa again!

Amazing holiday at Sea Spray
My younger brothers (16 and 18) and I have just returned from a fabulous one week holiday in Barbados. We chose to stay at Sea Spray Villa (as opposed to hotel) and we made the right choice.
The villa is located ON THE SEA. If you want to get any closer to the water you have to stay on a boat. The property is very nice and well taken care of. The pictures of the villa are nice, but in person the villa is even more beautiful.
Sea Spray is located in St. Lucy (Half Moon Fort/Moontown) (in the water you can actually see cannons from Half Moon Fort) The villa is very close to Speightstown, (make sure to check out Fisherman's Pub and the Shipwreck for authentic Bajan food). Also St. Elmos market (less than a 5 minute walk) (which is open very late) has great food and great entertainment on the weekends. Stop and get fresh fish from the vendors in Six Mens on the way to the villa. If you choose to rent a car (one is not necessary as buses run all the time from the road in front of the villa) explore the beautiful Island. See the North where the Caribbean and Atlantic meet. Drive the East Coast and see Cattlewash, Martins Bay and Bathsheba. Explore the parishes as you will see some amazing sites.
Tricia the property manager is very friendly and extremely helpful in sorting anything that you may need.
Our only complaint about the trip is that it went too fast.
We cannot recommend this villa enough. On a scale of 1-10 we rate the villa 100.
I thank Les and Linda for checking in on us and making sure we were having a great time, and for also sharing the amazing property with us!
Looking forward to being back in Barbados and Sea Spray Villa soon!
Sea Spray Villa was a perfect destination for a recouperative, no stress vacation escape. The direct access to the water was a huge plus, and the short walk to a local market made us completely self sufficient without the need for a car. The Barbadians are the friendliest and welcoming residents of any of the caribbean islands I have visited.
We had a great time at the Villa as it was in a quiet irrespective of the traffic horns which we became used to. The location and access to the ocean was great as was the balcony and the outside shower. The air conditioner in the bedroom was a great touch. The local market and fisherman's stand at Moontown were convenient. The market was well stocked as we shopped there quite a lot, and everyone was very friendly. The bus rides were a wonderful adventure. COVID has had an impact on a lot of the local and semi-local restaurants as they were not open. The Fishpot was booked for all of December; however, the Tides, Jumas, and Pier One were open and excellent. The real treat was Island Plates which has a good menu and was great as with 24 hours notice they will deliver a meal that is hot and excellent. Enjoyed touring the island, Harrison Caves, Rum tasting, etc. It was a very enjoyable trip.
We stayed at the lower level of Seaspray Villa for a week. The view from the patio and stairway access to the Caribbean were wonderful. The villa is far north of all the hustle and bustle of the larger towns, with a small but well-stocked grocery store just 3 minutes walk down the road and the "Fish Pot" fine restaurant 3 minutes walk the other direction. The owners, Les and Linda, and the property manager, Marcia, were exceptional in their communications and helpfulness, making sure everything was right, even during our past-midnight arrival. My wife and I swam frequently from the beach access at the bottom of the stairs (boat shoes required!). The A/C in the bedroom made the nights so comfortable and, with the windows closed, we were shielded from the noise of the heavy morning traffic on the street outside. Most of the taxi vans and trucks speed around the narrow, blind curve honking "La Cucaracha" or "Dixie"! The kitchen, living area, bathroom, and patio were perfect for us.
All excellent and right on the waters edge
I just hope rising sea level does not wash it away
Everything one would wish for and owners car a great benefit
Thanks
My husband and I visited Barbados for the first time over New Year and stayed in Sea Breeze Villas. Communication was excellent was the start with the owners and also with Marcia the property manager met and welcomed us on our arrival. We stayed in the lower villa which we loved! Well equipped with everything you would need, well loved and used and the history of the villas within the family was evident. The bed was king size and very comfortable. For us the highlight was the spacious patio overlooking the ocean with fabulous sunset views. We loved watching the local fishermen come and go with their catch and watching the waves which were very large for the first few days but very entertaining to watch and listen! Previous reviews had talked about the little beach at the bottom of the steps and the snorkelling?? we could not imagine even attempting it as the waves were so huge but by mid week the sea was calm and sure enough there is a wonderful little beach and the snorkelling was so fun, we saw lots of different species of fish!
We also prefer to be in a quieter location which is exactly this villa, ideally located to drive or catch a bus anywhere but away from the crowds. The little town of Moontown is a few minutes walk away and has a grocery store that sells all the basics and more, a restaurant that also sells food to take away and a bar which was fun to mingle with the locals who are very friendly. We went to the Fish Fry on Thursday night and had a fun fun night, very inexpensive and the fresh fish was cooked in front of us.
The Fish Pot is a restaurant a 10 min walk away where we spent New Years Eve, a well known restaurant that serves good food. The menu for New Years was a priced fixed which was disappointing for us as we had hoped to have more local fish but a good meal anyhow. We brought fish a couple of times from a local fisherman in the next town Six Men's Bay and cooked a meal at home which was great after a day out on the beaches.
We explored the island and overall had a wonderful week and will come back for sure!
Beautiful view from the living room! No frills but a comfortable week long stay on the island. The location is a bit away from hussle of town. It’s was quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we wanted.
Amazing ocean views and private access to the water
We really enjoyed our stay here. It is in a less traveled neighborhood away from any big resorts so it is pretty quiet but still within a short walking distance of two restaurants and a nice beach. Our normal day was swimming/snorkeling in the morning out in front of the house, exploring the island with our rental car during the day, then in the evening either eating at a restaurant close by or grilling fresh fish on the patio taking in the amazing view. The air conditioning in the bedroom really helped for sleeping.
