Place is reasonably priced and located nicely to downtown Athens. It is a townhome connected to other units. The type of crowds these types of places draw are not family friendly. Our neighbors were loud, blasting music and smoking weed all night long. There was some much weed that the smell was in our townhome which made for a less pleasant stay.
Good option for a quick visit to Athens (4.8 stars)
We stayed here on a Thursday night and checked out on Friday morning. My 17 year old daughter and her friend toured UGA. We live on the other side of Atlanta, and the campus tour started at 9 AM, so we wanted to be close to campus. This house is in walking distance to downtown Athens and the UGA campus. I felt very safe, and the place was quite clean. You can hear the train go by throughout the night. I did not notice once I fell asleep, but my daughter said it woke her up.A couple of things to know: The upstairs was a little stuffy. We like it cold when we are sleeping, and we could not get the upstairs to cool down enough to be comfortable. We didn't check in until Thursday evening, so this might have been avoided if we had turned the air down earlier. We slept in the king bed upstairs. It felt like we were sleeping on a slab of concrete with a thin piece of foam on top. For one night, it was doable. Our other guests said their beds were uncomfortable as well.Overall, it worked for one night, and it was cheaper than a hotel room.
It's not fancy, but it's a short walk to downtown and Samford Stadium. Perfect for a guys weekend for some Dawgs Football.
There's plenty of room to sleep for 6. If we had anymore, it would have taken rearranging some furniture to pull out both sofa beds. The mattresses are probably due for an upgrade.
The unit has two parking spots, but we were able to creatively fit three cars in there for game day.
In the area for an event at the Classic Center and enjoyed the ideal location of this townhouse. Comfortable furniture, quaint decor and a general warm feel made our stay complete. Thanks to the owners; we hope to return another time.
The house has an eclectic bohemian vibe. It is very colorful and has lots of art paintings on the walls. I found it very charming and relaxing. Also, it’s located a walking distance to downtown.
It was exactly what we needed while in town for a UGA Baseball game. Close to downtown, clean & comfortable. My only improvement would be to make sure there is bedding on the top bunk of the bunk beds. We had to improvise for our 5 year old who slept on the top bunk because there were no sheets or pillow up there. Other than that it was a lovely stay.
Such a perfect location for events at Lyndon House
This charming property was exactly what we needed to set up for and host an event at Lyndon House Arts Center just across the street. The place is well-appointed with tons of bold art covering the walls. Well-maintained. Would definitely stay here again if the need arose. The property owner is very responsive to requests for information or assistance. The neighborhood is quiet but SO convenient to downtown.
Nice townhome close to everything downtown. We enjoyed our short stay exploring Athens and enjoying a concert at the Georgia Theatre. Clean comfortable and private.
Only recommendation would be to rake leaves in backyard for a more enjoyable outside experience.
Thank you
Close to everything in The Classic City!! Yet, tucked away enough and quiet and peaceful. Loved the screened in porch as well as the super cute front patio-yard.
Great location. A great outdoor area to enjoy grilling and a fire. The privacy fence and ambiance of the string lights is a perfect setting for great conversation.
Great location to downtown. Great living room space. Very quaint. The screened porch and outdoor area were incredible additions. Love the string lights. Owner was extremely attentive and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
We were in town for parents weekend at UGA. Perfect location, easy parking, nice neighborhood. Location was just as advertised, owner was super responsive, check in was simple. Highly recommend.
This was my first time using Vrbo, so easy!
The property was fantastic! Loved having privacy fence. Great communication with owner. Will 100% try to book this property again, and 100% recommend!
I have to admit my first impression wasn't the best. We had a little bit of a hard time finding the townhouse even using GPS. and the front yard needed tending. Second impression was much better. The fenced in backyard was nice to have for privacy and for the kids to play in. The neighborhood was quite. With in walking distance to downtown. The inside was very clean. The beds are comfortable. And with young kids the gates at the top and bottom of the stairs were a great benefit. Gwyneth was very easy to work with when we had a problem with the internet and the problem was solved in a timely fashion. Would definitely recommend staying there.
