This home was great for our extended family vacation. Plenty of space to spread out and get quiet time as needed. The location was nice; about 25 minutes to everything and the shops in the Arts & Crafts district are right around the corner. In case you're wondering there are 3 bedrooms on the main floor. The pool was great for the kids and you could turn the heat up to make it "hot tub" like for the adults. A couple of things...there is no hot tub on the property and the jets in the jacuzzi tub do not work. We could not locate a gas grill and the little charcoal grill at the home isn't big enough to cook for 15 people. I would recommend bringing a few extra towels, especially if you are traveling with kids; they do supply a few beach towels and towels on each bed. The washer works but it eats socks :), and the dryer takes 2 cycles to dry jeans/towels. There are 2 coffee makers, a Crock Pot and several griddles in the kitchen; as well as an assortment of spices. Overall our stay was exactly what we needed.
Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay, mainly because it was our first time getting together in ages. We were disappointed that the pool did not have the TV where it is shown in the pictures, as when we were looking at the listing, we'd promised the kids a movie night in the pool.
There is evidence of mice in the kitchen and bedrooms, and the home needs quite a bit of TLC to make it a true showplace, as shown. The kitchen had several mouse bait stations and droppings in various places, making us distrust the cleanliness of the kitchen accouterments. The stove hood had built up grease, grime, and dust, so I wondered about the housekeeping staff. There was a chair that was broken and unsafe to sit on. There was also a loose spoke in the downstairs railing in one of the bedrooms. The bottom was still attached and the top was hanging over the stairs, making it an impalement hazard for anyone who may trip down the stairs.
We observed mold in quite a few places and obvious signs of water leaks, particularly in the master bedroom shower, where grout had been "fixed" using caulk.
This home would be quite a showplace if shown some serious TLC. It is absolutely beautiful, has stunning views, and is far enough off the beaten path that you truly feel like you're isolated when, in reality, you are only 20 minutes from almost everything Pigeon Forge has to offer.
The host is exceptionally nice and we did enjoy our trip, but the home needs substantial repairs.
Beautiful ride to the home, we saw deer, mommy, bear, and cubs, and lots of turkeys! Where the home is situated is very peaceful. You can watch the mist come up over the top of the trees each morning. There are plenty of balconies to sit out on and sip your coffee in the morning and watch the wildlife come through the yard. I was visited by deer each morning. The home is absolutely beautiful, has everything that you need and is wonderful for a large family. The pool area was fantastic, The host to this home is wonderful, we texted him a few times with questions and he answered immediately. There were warnings of storms and he contacted us letting us know that there was a generator and giving us instructions on how to turn it on just in case the storm came up the mountain, thank goodness we didn’t need it. If we are lucky enough to come back to the Smokies, hopefully we’ll be able to get the same home cause it was absolutely wonderful and it added great memories to our vacation.
Property was good for our size family, 8 adults and 7 kids. Close to all major activities. Kids loved the pool. Great to be able to wash clothes and towels. Owner was very easy to get ahold of and very cooperative. One deep cleaning and the property would be great. Had a positive experience.
If you need to relax this is the place for you. Very quiet and peaceful. Kitchen and master bedroom are absolutely great. Pool very nice. The Host is very efficent and communication is excellent. He gets things taken care of immediately.
I wish we could have stayed another day or 2.
Thank you for the restful stay
My family had a wonderful stay. The house is spacious, the location gives you quick access to the arts and crafts community, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, the indoor pool and theater room provided hours of fun, and the host was great to work with - quick communication and lots of goodies. A great value and a great stay.
this is a wonderful and gorgeous place to stay, a comfortable beautiful house for a big family, has all you need …Pool for the kids , game room a big theatre, we had a blast … all the supplies you need in the kitchen , beautiful 5 acres house . We were 15 min away from Gatlinburg a little town to have fun … owners a wonderful person. we had no issues on our staying… Thank you Robert for letting us stay at your home … if we plan on going back to TN, I’ll 100% be staying there again!
We always enjoy our week here! The host is super at communicating! The house is beautiful, and we as a family usually 13-15 of us are comfortable- with plenty of space and room for the kids to play! We’ve been many times to Splash in the Smokey’s! We will go again next year! It’s our new getaway! Thanks for having us, again!!!

Property was absolutely filthy, maintenance had t been kept up. Shower drain clogged, pool only heated in winter months, propane fireplaces only functional in winter, not stocked with basic necessities such as toilet paper, paper towels. Pool table completely broken, arcade game from the 90s. This property wasnt at all as described. Could’ve been really noce with some simple upkeep. Property has been left to fall apart. Good location and plenty of room was only positives. Had to spend way too much money to provide family with basic necessities on top of already overpriced rental. Very disappointed. Owner was responsive but has lost touch with house. “Management team” clearly taking advantage of him if they’re being paid to maintain this property.
Perfect for our family of 8 adults. Close (20 min winding drive) to everything (Gaitlinburg, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge) Pool was an added bonus. Master BR is HUGE, as is the Master Bath. House had everything we needed. It is showing some signs of age (broken tile in MBath, burned out light bulbs, worn areas) but for our purpose, it was great. Owner communicated very well and we had no issues during our stay.
This was a family Christmas present. It was great. The pool was perfect temperature and everyone loved it. Kitchen had everything you would need and then some. Master bedroom and bath was huge! In a good location. Far enough to be in the country, but close enough to get to the attractions. Perfect amount of space for our family of 15. Mr. Robert (the host) was very prompt and would reply within 5-10 minutes and did everything he could to accommodate and make sure our stay was great. Overall, plenty of room for a big family and great place to stay. Family is already asking if we can come back.
Host was very quick to answer any and all questions. Property is beyond gorgeous and the snow made it even more gorgeous. Mr Robert made sure he did everything he could to help us with minor problems due to the snow and cold.

Overpaid for luxuries that didn't work
This house is beautiful, and upon first arrival, it feels so decadent. But many things are a facade. They look good, but they don't actually work. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we felt we overpaid for luxuries that didn't work.
Pros:
Spacious for large groups
Nice kitchen
Pool was fun for the kids
The master bedroom is large enough to be a nice getaway for those who may need space from the rest of the group.
The master bed is comfortable, as is the downstairs bed by the stairs.
Cons:
None of the fireplaces would turn on. Appeared to be out of propane.
Jets did not turn on in the jetted tub in master bath.
Drain came out of the shower in the master bath.
Wi-fi only works in some parts of the house.
The heater in the pool turned off but the instructions to adjust it was not where the house notebook said they were. We could not find any instructions or any place to adjust the pool temperature.
A light in the pool fell out and wires were dangling.
The seats were busted in half of the wicker furniture in the pool room.
The shower handle in one of the downstairs showers was stripped so adjusting the temperature was impossible and the water wouldn't turn off until one of our group figured out just the right way to pull on a part and push another part to get it to turn off. The drain in that shower was not screwed down so it came out.
There were wires hanging from the ceiling in 2 rooms.
We've stayed at many other rental houses but this was our first through VRBO and it did not disappoint. The house was nicer than the photos showed, the views from the house were just gorgeous, and the owner was amazing. We had a few questions come up during our stay and the owner was quick to respond and pleasant. A truly great experience.
My husband and I stayed at the house with the majority of his family. Based upon VRBO's rating system, I have to give it 5 stars. Communication with the host was quick and check-in was simple. The house was mostly clean expect for some cob webs, some random items left behind under and behind furniture (found when we were scanning the place for our stuff before leaving), and the pool bottom was gritty. The pool area is also very dark, which made it a bit uninviting. While the house offers some great amenities, it really needs some love to make it totally worth 5 stars. We found the location in good proximity to Pigeon Forge (25-min drive) and Gatlinburg (15-min drive) and the views from the front of the house are nice though the landscaping is a bit overgrown. The art loop is very close and the trolly stops in that area, so you can avoid driving into Gatlinburg if desired.
Beautiful home away from home…lots of space to be together or relax in your own space. We had plenty of space for our group of 13. Not a bad driving distance into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge either. Great communication with the owner. I would definitely recommend!
