About this property

3 BR 1.5 BA on Jefferson Ave, fenced yard

Welcome to "Just One More..." our families home away from home. Our 3 bedroom 1.5 bath house is on a corner street just a few blocks from the water (a 10 min walk!) and a short golf cart or bike ride away from the the Main Street in town - where you will find our favorite bakery, pizza shop, candy store and more! The rooms are as follows: (with all linens and towels included)

Master: King Bed
Room 2: Queen Bed
Room 3: Twin bed and Twin over Full Bunk

While you stay you are welcome to use our beach equipment and toys, play our games, set up our corn hole boards, and ride our bikes! You may want to make arrangements to rent a golf cart while you're in town as well- it makes short trips to and from the beach and the main street a breeze! (Ask about an added fee to rent our cart, which seats 4!) Please make our home yours with a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs, an outdoor propane grill, a large dining room table perfect for family game night, 3 Smart TVs, and a strong wifi signal throughout.

Just One More is a cozy home with sleeping space for up to 8.

Cute House

We LOVE Cape Charles and we LOVED staying at Heather’s house! The listing was just as it appeared online. Heather goes above and beyond when it comes to providing things for her guests (i.e. laundry detergent, beach towels, paper towels, etc.). We will most definitely be renting Heather’s house again in the future.

Nice Stay

We have been to Cape Charles numerous times over the past 5 years. The homes in town are older “historic” homes, most of which have been renovated. This property was no exception. The owner was very accommodating to changing the dates of our check-in/check out due to a death in the family. This was much appreciated! The exterior of the property is great! Nice fenced in back yard. The back deck was very inviting as was the front porch. The shed has numerous beach chairs, sand toys, bikes, kayak and games. The golf cart was an added bonus and worked just fine. The interior of the home has obviously been updated. It is very bright, spacious and inviting. However, there were numerous marks on the walls - much more then what we have seen staying at several rental properties over the years. Also, there were several spider webs (with spiders) in the ceilings that I removed as well as an ant problem in the kitchen on the counter. We had to clean the refrigerator shelfs before placing our food in it. We also found a pair of underwear (not ours) in the king bed upon check in. We chalked this up to maybe just getting lost in the sheets when washed? The dining area table was very nice and accommodating. The floors were all very clean. Carpet was noticeably vacuumed. The beds were very comfortable. Shower was nice, pressure was fine and plenty of soap was provided. Other than the small issues above we were happy with the stay.

Beach getaway

This was our second year at this place. Our family loved it! It was great for our children with the fenced in back yard and optional golf cart. House is clean, comfortable and convenient.

Cape Charles Vacation

Awesome house for a visitiing family of 5. The 3 boys loved the room with a bunk bed, the master bedroom is huge and the the third bedroom is plenty big as well. The front porch is welcoming, kitchen is spacious, back deck and fenced in backyard are perfect for evening chill time, it's the best!

Long Weekend in Cape Charles

We had a wonderful stay at Heather's property. The house was clean and very kid friendly. We enjoyed the golf cart and the fenced in backyard. The proximity to the beach is just a short golf cart ride away. Cape Charles is such a gem and we can't wait to visit again!

A dream vacation

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed and more. This is the perfect quiet location within a short walk or golf cart ride to everything. Easy check in and out procedure. The hosts were wonderful. We will definitely be back!!

House was exactly as described and more. Very clean and comfortable stay. Plenty of amenities provided so that travel can be made easier. Heather was communicative and responsive as needed. If you have kids between 3-10, this house really knocks it out of the park with games and toys. Will stay again!

Great rental

Our family (3 adults, 2 kids teen/tween age) had a great stay. The rental was very well taken care of (not always a given!), and was a great space for the week. Of particular note, we really enjoyed the ample living space - plenty of room for 5 people to sit and sprawl, to sit and eat/play games, etc. - as well as the outdoor space - fantastic level back yard and awesome deck area. Little touches also made this house a huge win - although we brought our own beach towels and toys/gear, it was nice that the house had those things available for use as well (it spared us having to blow up our own inner tubes! ;-)); the ability to add on the golf cart was so nice - we always rent a cart for toodling around town and to the beach, and it was seamless to do so directly from the owner; and it was nice that the house came with an assortment of books and games, etc. (also some toys for little ones - my kids are older, but stuff like that would have been HUGE for us several years ago!). Everyone in my family loved the house - and it isn't always easy to please folks ranging from 12 to 72! :-)

Great Family House

We had a great time at “Just One More”. It was perfect for my husband, myself, and our three kiddos (6,4, and 2). The fenced in yard is great for kids and having the golf cart is a definite perk. We hope to be able to return to his this house in the future.

Great Place!

This place is exactly as pictured! Great place and location! You definitely want to rent a golf cart to get to and from the beach if you have little ones. The golf cart also comes in handy to shop, get ice cream, and go miniature golfing too! Easy check-in and out. Heather is a fabulous host! We will be back again!

Great Cape Charles Experience

My family came to this property for our first Cape Charles experience and had a great week! We are a family with a 18 month old and 3.5 year old and everything exceeded our expecations. The house was clean and we were happy with everything offerered. We had a few interactions with messaging the owner simple questions and she was quick to reply and easy to contact which was really nice. We plan on coming back and definitely hope to book this place again! It was less than 5 minute ride via golf cart to everything we wanted to see in Cape Charles. Great stay for Oyster Farm wedding

We had a wonderful stay at Heather’s property! Very clean, updated, bright, fresh, comfortable, and well stocked, even with toys for my toddler. We especially loved relaxing on the shaded front porch. The house was so close to the wedding venue (oyster farm) and my extended family’s house on strawberry street. It was so nice to rent the golf cart through heather and have it right at the property when we arrived. Great communication with host and easy to check in/out. Would definitely recommend this listing to everyone!

Fantastic!

Great place to stay. Very clean and lots of space. Plenty of games and activities for kids. The beach in Cape Charles is very shallow and perfect for small kids. For teens and adults a little deeper water would be preferred but the town itself and everything else about our stay was perfect.

Can we stay “just one more” night?!

This home was so comfortable for our group of 4 children and 4 adults. Our favorite features are the fenced in yard, comfortable furniture/new decor, nice sheets and towels, plethora of family games, and golf cart! Flawless rental experience and would come again. Idyllic home & location in Cape Charles !

“Just One More” is a large lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood located minutes from the beach, the Marina & Oyster Farm - one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at ! The home has a wonderful fenced yard & beautiful deck to enjoy the outdoors. 3 bedrooms & all the amenities you could ask for ! Front porch for lazy afternoons…all in all a great find in Cape Charles ! And you can even rent a golf cart from the owner. Heather went above & beyond as a host. She was very responsive (within minutes) to any questions we had. We would not hesitate to stay there again

Relaxed and comfortable!

Heather provided everything that our family needed for our quick getaway. We really wanted to just relax and have quality time together, and she made it SO EASY! The property was just the right size for our large family…plenty of space but still cozy. The kitchen was well equipped. The use of the golf cart was priceless. Fantastic fall weekend

Our family had a great time at “just one more.” We loved the fenced in back yard and back deck and our kids loved all the games and toys. The location is a perfect mix of quite and convenient. Straight shot down Jefferson to the beach access and easy cart ride to town or even walking/bike ride to the oyster farm. We stayed here over a long weekend in October and the weather was still great and there was plenty for the whole family to do. The house had everything we needed, was clean and very comfortable. I definitely recommended this house and would stay here again.

We had a wonderful week at Just One More. Heather was very helpful and even reached out during a brief storm power outage. Past renters had left quite a bit of pantry items in the kitchen, limiting our space and the fans were needed to cool down the upstairs bedrooms in the evenings. But all told it was a great rental. Thanks again!

Christopher and I (Heather) live in Va Beach and we have 5 teens who LOVE Cape Charles. Chris works in real estate and I am a public school teacher. 4 of our 5 kids are in college and 1 is in High School. As our family heads off in new directions, we wanted a spot we could all return to for years to come.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming regularly to this amazing little town for the last 5 years. When COVID-19 cancelled all our family travel plans for 2020 we decided to use our savings to purchase a home away from home, "Just one More", in our favorite get away spot. We spent months ordering furniture, mattresses and bedding- then painting organizing things and getting it just right for our family AND for yours!! We hope you like it.
