South Dartmouth, MA

Wonderful cottage with awesome water views. Always a breeze coming off the water. Beautiful windows and sliders. Close to so many venues. Loved the Padanaram village. Best part was the closeness to my grandson ( 8 month old ) - 1.7 miles away. Thank you!

Blissful stay at Bliss Corner

This house was a perfect place for our family of five. Abby has done such a great job utilizing the space in this small house. Two of the bedrooms are small but there is so much living space! We loved the sunroom that looks out over the water and enjoyed the outdoor eating area for several of our meals. We found everything we needed for our stay and the neighborhood is very quiet and friendly.

Wonderful South Dartmouth Stay

The Dartmouth Cottage had everything we needed for a great vacation. The cottage was immaculate and well equipped, and it was easy to communicate with the hosts. We really enjoyed exploring Dartmouth, New Bedford, and Westport.

About the host

Hosted by Abby Edwards

Host profile image
Hi! We're Kristen and Abby. We purchased our cottage in October 2017 and spent the first 6 months recreating the space and making it our own. Since owning the cottage, we've hosted A LOT of family, hosted renters from around the world, and have a full-time student during the off season (September - June). During the summer months we like to enjoy the cottage as a family and host other renters when available. To learn more about our journey and engage with us further check us out at @thedartmouthcottage

Why they chose this property

The first time we stepped into this home, we were sold. While there was a lot to look past, we FELT the potential and were excited to make this place our own. Not only do we love and take great pride in our home, but our location has so much to offer. We love walks /bike rides around the neighborhood with our pup or down to the village (just a mile away) and walking to the fish market and library. While Dartmouth and Westport provide ample experiences to connect with nature, New Bedford is an urban oasis waiting to be discovered with its fishing history, museums, and cobble-stone streets lined with restaurants, small shops, and night life! Not only will you get the chance to stay within a neighborhood, we'll be showcasing our favorite local spots/treats throughout our home with you.

What makes this property unique

Live like a local! Growing up in Dartmouth, I never realized what a gem of a place it was until I realized I had to come back and wanted a place of my own. We take great pride in the town and surrounding areas and love sharing experiences with our family, friends, and now you! If these walls could talk, they would share countless game nights, sunrises, dance parties, wine & cheese boards, puzzles, beach days, 4th of July celebrations, holidays, cocktail hours, new recipes in the kitchen and outside on the grille, yard games, ENDLESS s'mores, and a lot of music!
