Andrew was a great host and provided great communication for my groups stay. House was very nice and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Lake George area.
Spacious, clean and peaceful property close to Lake George and only an hour or so away from the ADK high peaks. We spent most of our time enjoying the deck, hotub and grilling. Overall excellent property!
The house was very cozy, yet everyone had plenty of space to strech out and enjoy. The hot tub was more than welcome after a workout on the slopes...we all enjoyed it! Everything was clean and convenient... I would highly recommend it for a family get-away.
My family stayed here for a rafting trip. This place was perfect. Lots of toys for the kids. Hot tub was amazing. Clean, cozy and convenient. Check in and check out was easy, the owner was very kind! Came equipped with lots of things for us to use in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc. I recommend!
Unfortunately the hot tub was broken and couldn’t be repaired in Time for our visit. Andrew reimbursed us 10 percent but we missed it! Everything else was great, especially proximity to Gore. There was plenty of space and very cozy and warm on the coldest weekend!! Andrew was very responsive to all our questions and and got back to us quickly… I would definitely go again.
The house is clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a great way to end a great ski day on the mountain.
The back deck should have a clean path to the hot tub, it was ice and never shoveled. The internet went out and we had no service whatsoever to even contact anyone until the next day when we got to the mountain. But by the time we got back it was working.
This was our second time staying here and had a great trip.
The house was clean and access couldn’t have been easier. This is a big house and comfortably accommodated my group of 12...only wish the main floor bathroom was more accessible to all occupants as it is attached to a bedroom...but we made it work. Hot tub was great after skiing, as was the giant entryway for the pile-up of ski bags. Beds were SUPER comfortable (which is sometimes hard to come by in a rental property). We did have to silence the wind chimes as I am a very light sleeper, but put them back into commission upon leaving. All in all the place was great and would definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! 4 adults 3 kids age 7-13. Big kitchen table for meals and games together. Hot tub was a huge hit. Loved the big front porch, back deck, and spacious balcony with hammock. Enough space to enjoy privacy and togetherness. Grounds nicely kept, and house well maintained minus some missing/damaged screens/blinds. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice to have use of washer and dryer. There is a brook in the backyard which the kids loved exploring and I loved listening to with a cup of coffee when all was still. Would 100% recommend, and would love to return.
Perfect location and overall great experience for the entire family. House was very accommodating for all as it is very spacious. Would definitely stay here again. Communication with Andrew was great!!
This was a great location for us. Very nice and comfortable house. Hot tub was great for kids and adults. Owner was responsive and easy to communicate. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.
We loved our stay! We spent a mid-week day at Gore Mt and the rest of our time exploring the trails and woods behind the house. We brought our cross-country and alpine touring ski set-ups and had a blast on Edward Hill and Little Ed (as we named the smaller bump on the way to Edward Hill). The large entryway was perfect for the excessive number of boots and jackets we had. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and played a lot of games. There was plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, from the large pots and frying pans to the cheese grater and vegetable peelers! We cooked all of our meals at the house and had everything we needed. Of note, the tap water tasted very good – we had some harsh critics in the group. The house is well-loved but cozy for being as big as it is. Working with Andrew was easy and he responded quickly. We would absolutely stay here again!
We just came back from a ski weekend stay at Andrew's house at Johnstown, NY. We got there Friday night and the temperature outside was -13F however the house was warm and cozy. There is a nice large entry area (foyer) with hangers and benches which is nice when you have a large group with ski gear and shoes, etc. The kitchen is a little outdated but it's large with a large table that can seat 8-10 people. It's well equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, a fridge, dishwasher, etc. The sitting room is also large a comfortable with a nice gas fireplace and TV. The bedrooms are nice and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are also clean and functional. The hot tub was really nice to have after a long day of skiing at Gore which is a 10 min drive away. Some of the closets had limited space because there is some clutter in them like extra bed sheets, pillows, small mattresses, etc. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
Myself and 2 "mom" friends stayed with our 6 kiddos who have been friends for 10 years. We enjoyed games at the huge dining table, dinners together on the deck. Cooking together and not tripping over each other and late night talks in the hot tub. A wonderful and too short stay.
