Family Get Together
All ages converged to meet at this property outside of Tomah. We enjoyed our stay and the kids enjoyed feeding the goats and visiting the horses and other animals. Some of us hiked on the bike trail to go through the closest railroad tunnel and got picked up a mile or so on the other side of it. The kitchen is well equipped and we appreciated that each room had its own bathroom!

Great place to stay!
We stayed at the Trailside Inn with 5 other couples. A great location for biking the Elroy Sparta Bike Trail. The house was the perfect size for our group. The owners Rick and Deb were great to work with. Rick went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. When I said we could use more patio chairs within an hour he was back with 4 more chairs. Great restaurant with delicious homemade pie and mercantile store right next to the property.

Beautiful countryside get-away!
This was a family gathering with ages from 15 to 83. The downstairs space was perfect for us to gather and have a meal of play games (cribbage, mafia, euchre). We enjoyed visiting the animals on the farm (goats, horses, cows, sheep, alpacas) and walking the Elroy-Sparta state trail behind the house/inn. You'll be in the heart of Amish country, so enjoy farm-fresh eggs and the clip-clop of horses hooves as they pass by (there is also a lot of semi-traffic as this is a busy road). We would definitely stay again!

Group Bike Trip
This property was excellent for our bike trip for our group of 8 adults riding the Elroy-Sparta trail. Perfect location right at the center of the trail. Easy ride to all three tunnels. 6 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Huge kitchen was ideal for group meals and gatherings. Fantastic host took care of all our needs. Check out the great restaurant on the property in the historic one room schoolhouse. Outstanding food. Very reasonable prices.

Jeepers!
The check in was very easy. Rick, the owner stop in to welcome us with some goodies. It was great to have 6 bedrooms & 6 bathrooms. Beds were comfortable with nice linens and towels. The kitchen area has a large and a smaller dining room table, along with an island, this worked great for our group of 10. The house was clean and inviting. It stormed the evenings we were there, Rick offered his shed for our jeeps. He also called to make sure we were all safe after the storms. Due to the extreme hot weather Rick added another air conditioner for us, extra fans & had the firepit filled with wood. Rick, thank you for all your kindness! The Jeepers truly appreciated all did, you are great host & we had an awesome time! We hope to visit again!

UTV Riding
We would highly recommend this property to anyone who loves country living like we do. We were greeted by Rick the property manager who spoiled us with a welcome basket of fresh baked breads, fresh raspberry jam and fresh eggs. And, he had some meade moonshine waiting for us upon our arrival. We loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was awesome with a huge dining table also for card and board games after our days out on the trail. Having the old schoolhouse restaurant right next door was heavenly. The food was delicious and home-cooked. The restaurant closes at 2pm on Sunday and weekdays. Since we were expected to be back much later in the day from riding, Rick and his crew one day made us BBQ ribs and cheesy tater casserole that they delivered to us upon our arrival back to the house. It was very handy that we had 2 ovens in the kitchen to warm up our food! The scenery in the area consists of beautiful rolling hills and the weather was very nice. This house is in the heart of Amish country so be prepared to see lots of horses and buggies which we loved. Most roads and highways in Monroe County are ATV/UTV friendly and if you prefer riding trails instead, there are several up by Black River Falls which is close enough to get to from the house. There are lots of bar & grill places and we also found an Amish cheese store and more! We would definitely stay again!

Great time in God’s Country!
We had an amazing time staying at this place! Communication with Debra was a breeze, and she was super accommodating when it came to checking in and answering our questions leading up to the trip. We also ate at their Dorsey Valley Schoolhouse restaurant and it was delicious and a lot of fun! Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom was also an unexpected bonus and great for for our large group. Thanks for everything!

Great getaway
This was better than we expected. Farmhouse/ B&B style set up that worked out very well for multiple families to come up and spend a weekend together. Before you go, know that the owners sell their beef and veggies next door at the restaurant. We wish we didn't show up with so many groceries and just bought from him. Lots of outdoor activities, small towns to visit, or just relax on the farm.

Idyllic Country Relaxation
We had a wonderful stay. We had 3 small families so the bed and breakfast bedroom layout was perfect for us. There was plenty of room for everyone to eat meals and hang out inside or out. We had a fire in the firepit and the kids enjoyed the playground equipment. Great access to a beautiful hiking trail. The kitchen did not have many basics for cooking, so I would bring your own pans/spatulas, etc. Delicious restaurant in walking distance.
