This place was BEAUTIFUL. Don’t judge the location at first, you will be going down a winding wooden path with no other homes for a few minutes until you reach the cottage - it is SO worth it. You have complete privacy and the safety of multiple ring cameras on the outside of the property. The cottage is the perfect size for multiple people, we had 5 and could have fit more. It is so open and airy and had absolutely everything we could need for a few days away. We even got to see eagles over the river! So spectacular. Worth the stay.

Saw Eagles Fly
Wonderful view of the river and eagles flying. Loved the deck. Private and secluded. There is no dishwasher and cleanliness was an issue. Everything we needed was available.
What a great little place nestled away in the Virginia woods. Situated on a cliff with a breath taking view of the Potomac River. You can occasionally see a pair of bald eagles flying over the house.
The house is very private and situated away from any of the main roads. However, you’re still close to town (10 minutes) if you need anything. And it offers all the comforts of home; wifi, washer/dryer, a grill, etc. This place would be great for a private romantic get away or for a small family. There are lots of local attractions close by so when you want to get out and do something you have plenty of options.
The owners were very polite and helpful. They responded to any and all questions in a timely manner. They had bottles of sparkling wine and cider to greet us upon check in. And the check in process was the smoothest I’ve ever had.
The only negative thing was the overall cleanliness of the house. However, we did book it on short notice and there wasn’t much time to clean I’m sure. The washer, for example, was full of hair and what appeared to maybe be some mold.
I would definitely stay here again and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a private get away in that area of Virginia.
