Wonderful Place!

This was a fantastic and cozy place for us while we explored the area around Normandy while tracing some WW2 family history. The historic building has been beautifully renovated while keeping the charm. There is easy nearby free parking, too. We enjoyed being able to walk to a nearby beach as well. The host communicates very well with guests and is quick to respond. There are many nearby interesting sights as well as essy access to a market and bakery in a nearby town. If we ever come back to Normandy, we hope to stay in this great property!

Picturesque

The home was absolutely lovely! Perfect location for visiting the Normandy beaches. Parking was easy. Short walk to the beach, and short drive to coastal town. Home was clean, nicely furnished, and a perfect size for family of 3. Especially loved the quaint back patio :).

Beautiful property in excellent location

This property is tastefully decorated with both modern and rustic furnishings. It is a generous sized two bedroom house with a charming outside space that is perfect for outside dining. We wanted a base to go exploring Normandy and this property was ideal. It had everything we wanted. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice apartment!

This apartment was in a great location, near Omaha Beach. It was cozy but big enough for 2 people. Communication was easy with the owners. The washer/dryer was a huge help when packing light. The parking lot was across the street, with ample lighting. The stairs to the bedrooms was a little challenging bc they were narrow, but we managed to get our suitcase upstairs. The outdoor area was great, although we didn’t use it since it was chilly. Overall it’s a great place, very clean.

Prettiest place ever

This is the most adorable VRBO rental we’ve ever stayed in! Quite simply all the comforts of home! We loved the location, it was quiet and easy access to all the things we had planned. The only issue we encountered was that the water heater seemed to be on a timer so that if we returned in the late rainy evening there was no way to wash/warm up. The owner was wonderfully responsive but it was too late for him or the property consierge to come help.

Cosy house with good amenities

The house is decorated beautifully and has everything you need for a stay. Wifi was good, and Netflix is available, which is helpful if you have kids. Although its a small village its a good base for Normandy and the ferry. The owners checked to make sure we arrived safely and gave clear instructions for the house.

Beautiful but remote

We enjoyed our stay at this property. However, the apartment lacked some amenities that we have come to expect - including paper towels, napkins, and tissues. There was also only a limited supply of toilet paper, towels, and trash bags. We also did not realize how far the apartment was located from restaurants and businesses. We took a taxi to the apartment from Bayeux and Uber was not an option. Getting groceries required a nearly six mile round trip walk to Port Bessin. I would not recommend staying at this apartment unless you have your own vehicle (there was plenty of parking). It would also have been nice if complimentary bikes had been provided. These comments aside, the apartment itself is lovely and the pictures match the reality. The outdoor patio was very nice and the beds were comfortable. Wi-fi worked well and the owners promptly replied to messages. The surrounding environment is beautiful and Omaha Beach is within easy walking distance. We actually had almost an hour extra time added to our private tour of the D-Day beaches as we were so close to the main sites. We hope to return to the area in the future, but will definitely rent a car next time.

Verliebt in die Normandie

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in der Normandie und haben uns verliebt. Schon beim Betreten des Hauses waren wir begeistert. Es roch angenehm frisch und das Wohnzimmer war genauso wie auf den Fotos eingerichtet. Auch der Rest des Hauses haben wir wie erwartet vorgefunden. In der Küche standen sogar ein neuwertiger Trockner und eine neuwertige Waschmaschine. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war unkompliziert und freundlich. Die Lage des Hauses ist super. Von hier aus lässt sich die Normandie mit all' ihren Schönheiten und geschichtlichen Plätzen wunderbar erkunden. Wir hatten jeden Tag etwas anderes vor. Wir werden sicher noch mal die Normandie und dieses Haus besuchen. Danke! We visited Normandy for the first time and fell in love. We were thrilled as soon as we entered the house. It smelled pleasantly fresh and the living room was decorated exactly as in the photos. We also found the rest of the house as expected. There was even a new dryer and a new washing machine in the kitchen. Contact with the owner was uncomplicated and friendly. The location of the house is great. From here you can wonderfully explore Normandy with all its beauties and historical places. We had something different to do every day. We will definitely visit Normandy and this house again. Thanks!

Maison d'Honorine

La maison de Jean-Emmanuel est très accueillante, fonctionnelle et bien située dans un petit village au calme. Logement agréable et confortable. Literie confortable - linge de maison - vaisselle. Grand canapé d'angle. Un parking à 15 m avec borne de recharge VE.

Sehr schönes Haus, tolle Lage

Die Fotos geben sehr gut das Haus und die Räume wieder. Alles ist sehr liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, so dass man sich sofort wohlgefühlt hat. Der Innenhof ist ebenso sehr gemütlich – man findet immer einen Sonnen- oder Schattenplatz, je nach Vorliebe. Vom Haus erreicht man nach 1km / 10 Minuten einen sehr schönen Naturstrand mit Sand, Steinen und Felsen – perfekt für einen täglichen kleinen Spaziergang! Mit dem Auto nur wenige Minute entfernt erreicht man das Hafenstädtchen "Port en bessin". Dort finden sich Supermärkte und vorzügliche Bäckereien / Konditoreien, sowie Souveniershops mit Feinkost und anderen schönen Produkten. Am Hafenbecken kann man den Fischer zusehen oder den Kai entlang spazieren. In ungefähr einer Viertelstunde erreicht man Omahabeach – einen traumhaften Sandstrand zum Laufen und Schwimmen. Auch einige Städte liegen recht nah wie Bayeux oder auch Caen mit schönen Einkaufsstraßen / netten Läden. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und war einfach nur wunderbar und entspannend! Absolute Empfehlung!

Très bon séjour dans cette maison au charme indéniable et à la déco soignée. Idéalement située, à proximité des plages du Débarquement, des villes de Bayeux et Caen, et de toutes les autres attractions touristiques du Calvados. Propriétaires heureux, à l'écoute, sympas et disponibles. A refaire, de bout en bout. Tant de choses à voir dans ce pays !
