14 adults and 10 kids. With the size of the property and both houses we had plenty of room and the houses were just as they were described. Carriage House is like new and the main house, although it is quite old, has been updated very nicely. Back porch was a great area to hang out. If you bring a boat the ramp is 1/4 mile down the road.
Loved the location and how remote it was . Communication was excellent. Tons of space for a ton of people. Would stay again. I would recommend some landscaping being done. Lot of overgrown plants and shrubs. Also in the cottage house there has been a leak in the kitchen against the wall from the upstairs bathroom. End of the season, but might want to replace a couple of the skillets.
Thanks for the memories and great stay!
House was great and company was very quick to respond when communicated with. Little issue with one of the showers, but nothing that couldn’t have been fix had we been able to stay our entire visit. Idalia hurricane☹️.

Close to the beach
The house was okay for the most part. Some things to take note of is that the trash gets picked up on Mondays . We were not told this prior to checking in. We had piles & piles of trash by the end of our seven day stay. In one of the kitchen cabinets there was rat droppings & a rat trap. I call the property manager & reported this but nothing was done about it. Our refrigerator ran hot. They did send someone to look at it but by then all of our fruits had gone bad. There was a washing machine & dryer but the washing machine did not work. The lighting was very dim throughout the house. The only good thing about this house was the proximity to the beach.
Arrived just after 5 but was unable to access carriage home until 6. Thankfully it was unlocked as access codes did not work for carriage home. Called in but it was never really resolved. Used an emergency code instead all week. Large house needs more updates and repairs. Couch broke after a child sat on it and found that it had been repaired before. Took 2 or 3 days to get someone to repair. One of the showers was clogged. After reporting it, we finally bought a kit to unclog it ourselves because it wasnt fixed timely. Outside doors are probably original so we had trouble with getting them to open and close due to the wood swelling. The small amount of landscaping is unkept.
Other than that, we had a fabulous week and loved the area. House has plenty of beds to accommodate large families.
The main house was big nice kitchen living room . For an old house it was remodeled nicely . The smaller house was really nice.
The only thing that would make this rental perfect was an ice machine. And maybe a bigger stove for the amount of people that we fed. But definitely a ice machine.

Reviewer Comments:
Our family had a great vacation and loved the room we had to spread out. The character of the house is amazing but needs more updating. The bathrooms needed to be updated badly. Our tub did not have a knob to turn on the cold water and the cabinets were old and gross. The water was completely awful! Needs to be on city water if possible or have a filter coming into the house. The kitchen needs to be updated as well. The cabinets are old and there were rat droppings in the cabinet along with the pans. Outside railing needs to be up to code. Children can lean over and fall.Again, we loved the room, the character, the view and the location. If it was completely renovated, it would be an awesome vacation rental.

Our family of 8 adults and 9 children had a wonderful week at Indian Shores. The layout of the house was so perfect. A large kitchen and large eating area and large family room made our gathering times so fun. The children also enjoyed the screened in porches. The management company was so great to work with. They responded to any request within hours. It was a beach trip we hope to repeat.
This historic home has the potential to be an exceptional vacation destination. There are multiple spacious gathering areas. The kitchen is large with seating around an island. Well stocked with utensils and cookware. It could use a griddle or an electric skillet for pancakes etc. There is a standard side by side refrigerator which was very snug for our group of eight adults and six children. The screened in porch is amazing. This is secluded and surrounded with the looks and sounds of nature. The pool is nice but on the small side. We found that four adults and four children was a comfortable fit. There was heavy rain the week we were there. The only path to the beach required us to walk through over ankle deep stagnant water. The beach is practically deserted which we loved. There is no outdoor shower or faucet to rinse off. There are hoses but you have to walk through sand to turn them on and off. There were no outdoor trash cans when we arrived on Saturday. I called on Wednesday and two were delivered. These trash cans were removed on Friday. We had to take our trash bags to the road to place them in the trash cans before our departure on Saturday. This is not a short walk. The outside still is a renovation in progress. I assume that the area surrounding the house will be greatly improved.
